Great product

A great gift for anyone who takes pride in their automobile or motorcycle. The product came quickly and was exactly what I ordered!

I used every product this past weekend

My car looks like it just came out of the dealership. I was very pleased. Even now, the car looks very smooth. Great products for a great price.

Got this at a great price!

Amazon had this on sale as a lightning deal and it was worth the price.
Nothing more to say ...except you can't beat Meguiar's products in my opinion.

Good all around kit

This kit is good value for all the stuff you get. The plastic stuff didn't do much for me but the rest of it seemed to work well. I would recommend this if you get a good deal on it. Otherwise buying the things you need individually would be more economical.

GREAT BARGAIN

We received our package today, 2-13, even though it as guaranteed by 2-17, we have all we need to buff-out our cars, and I bought the reduced box-damaged one, and it is fine, I don't give a d if it's box is damaged, Amazon is the best, buy their 'in-house warehouse damaged stuff', a good buy.

Meguiar's NXT Wash & Wax Kit Review

I have used the wash & wax kit and it works great on my car.

Rating :

For vehicle lovers

Purchased for my dads collection of vehicles and he loved it, said he had never been able to find anything like it in the stores and was impressed with my choice.

Lot's of Bang for the Buck!

The price for this multi-product bundle cannot be beaten! I had tried only the detailer previously and was very pleased with the results it achieved. It goes on effortlessly, requires no rubbing, and immensely enhances the shine. I will try the other products included in this bundle next time I wash my car, but I know that I won't be disappointed! I want to add that, contrary to the experience of some other reviewers, this shipment arrived in good shape, completely intact, without any leaks whatever.

Rating :

Great item and price if

As other reviews wrote my shipment came and the NXT car wash was half gone in the box spilled out and there is no way to report this. Would not be smart to return half empty bottle or the whole kit, so over all this kit does NOT save you any money if you do not get the full contents of them. Wish there was a way to report this to someone and let them know about this. Now I know why they include foam applicator and rag (to soak up the mess..........................)

Does a Great Job and Lasts

I've used the Mequiar's NXT kit a couple times now and it's great. The wash leaves less streaks than the other stuff I was using and the wax and detailer are great. The wax goes on and comes off easy, leaving an awesome shine that last longer than any other brand I've used.

The Meguiar's Classic Wash and Wax Kit is an essential 8-piece collection of quality Meguiar's products that will help you keep your vehicle looking clean and shiny for less cash. Buying the Classic Wash and Wax Kit lets you take advantage of big savings compared with the cost of purchasing each item separately. You'll have what you need to clean your vehicle's exterior, interior, and wheels in a convenient and affordable package. In addition to the cleaning products, this kit also includes a sponge, microfiber towel, and foam applicator pad.

Nearly everything you need to clean your vehicle's exterior, interior, and wheels at an affordable cost. View larger.
This top-to-bottom, inside-out kit includes:

Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner
Before you clean your interior and exterior, grab a bottle of specially formulated Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner to remove grime, grit, and brake dust from all factory wheel surfaces. Equipped with this 24-ounce spray bottle and Hot Rims' unique foaming agents, you'll have the cleaning power to remove stubborn road residue. Meguiar's Xtreme Cling foam is designed to cling to vertical surfaces and break down stubborn dirt and grime between your wheels -- just lather up your wheels with the included sponge and rinse away the suds for a clean, fresh look. This product is safe for all factory, clear-coated, and painted wheels, and will help restore the beauty of your vehicle.

Soft Wash Gel Car Wash
This 16-ounce bottle of gel car wash is super rich, super thick, and super concentrated. Soft Wash Gel combines sudsing agents with optical brighteners to gently wash away dirt, grime, bird droppings, and more, while enhancing the brilliance and gloss of your paint finish. And since the detergent-free, pH-balanced formula is guaranteed safe -- even with frequent washings -- it won't strip wax protection or deteriorate your finish. This gel wash can be used with any of Meguiar's wash accessories, such as the handy sponge included with this kit, and for the best possible shine, make sure you dry your vehicle with Meguiar microfiber towels.

Cleaner Wax Liquid
The Meguiar's Cleaner Wax liquid is 16 ounces of versatile, one-step wax that is specially formulated to produce eye-dazzling results on all finishes. Once you have shampooed your car clean with the Soft Wash Gel Car Wash, be sure to follow up with this wax. Loaded with rich conditioning oils and a gentle cleaning action, the Meguiar's Cleaner Wax Liquid is an excellent choice for daily drivers exposed to the elements. For best results, use the included foam pad to apply the Cleaner Wax and the microfiber towel for removal.

Quik Detailer
Once your car is cleaned and waxed, you'll want to maintain the appearance and prolong all your hard work. Meguiar's Quik Detailer is just what you're looking for to keep a waxed car looking "just waxed." This product is the missing link between washing and waxing, and is formulated to remove harmful contaminants before they damage your finish. Use Quik Detailer right after your car is sprayed by a water sprinkler, hit by a bird dropping, or exposed to any other condition that ruins your just-waxed shine. And this cleaner is a breeze to use; simply spray on to the effected area and wipe dry with the included microfiber towel to revitalize your car's waxed appearance. The safe, high-lubricity formula lifts off dirt and grime without scratching, and helps enhance the gloss of your finish without unwanted build-up.

Make the inside of your car look as shiny as the outside with the included Quick Interior Detailer.

The Cleaner Wax Liquid is specially formulated to produce eye-dazzling results.
Quik Interior Detailer
With a 16-ounce bottle of Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer in your hand, you're ready to make the inside of your car look as shiny as the outside. Use this fast-acting product every time you wash or Quik Detail your paint to give your interior that "just detailed" look. In no time flat you can have your entire interior looking sharp and smelling fresh. This product quickly and easily maintains the look and feel of interior plastics, vinyl, leather, rubber, metal, and even audio/visual equipment. The safe, high-lubricity formula lifts dust, ashes, dirt, grime, spills, and fingerprints without unwanted build-up. And, unlike traditional protectants that leave an artificial, greasy residue, Quik Interior Detailer leaves the inside of your car looking natural and revitalized. Simply spray on, spread evenly with the included microfiber towel, and turn to a dry section of the towel for the final wipe off.

Customer Review :

Great kit!

This was a great purchase for only $20. Cannot beat the price. Meguiar is a known good quality product. Was very pleased with the way my car turned out having never waxed it before. Looks brand new! The only thing the kit lacks are enough microfiber towels for the whole wash (at LEAST 5 were needed in my case)and it does not have a window cleaner. I used Rain-X to give it an invisible barrier to water and dirt. I am very pleased with the outcome and will surely purchase again when I run out of product. I can easily get 6-8 full washes with the shampoo/detailers, but probably only 3 or 4 waxes.

Delivery Disaster

One of the bottle leaked. Fluid all over, contaminated almost everything, including some other items in the same delivery package.

Can't beat Meguiar's Products !

One can't beat Meguiar's products, Barry takes pride in his products, and this was a great price for all that you get...so why try the rest when you can get the best !

Damaged Goods

I ordered the cleaning kit for a Christmas present. I opened it prior to wrapping it and it was a good thing! The bottles had leaked inside the box and there was a mess. I returned the products to Amazon and received my refund promptly and purchased another item...one that would not leak when shipped!

Great Collaboration of Products!!!

This a great combo of cleaning/care products for my car. It was exactly what I was looking for. If you know what all these products are, then you will understand this is a great purchase. Everything included is really all that is needed for a perfectly clean car. The only thing missing is the bucket, water, and a good means of drying (I used one of those super absorbent towels rather than a chamois).

it was totally wasting money and goldem time.
also don't order their any product such as vacumn.
it was chip and chip china's that worked only 3 min.then broke down.

Darn it Billy Mays!

I'm generally a fan of anything Billy Mays pitched. This is my first major disappointment. I tried it on a very minor scratch only in the clear coat and it did absolutely nothing. Complete waste of money. Spend a couple of bucks on some rubbing compound and call it a day.

Rating :

Does not work at all

Didn't do anything for the scratch in my car paint and made the surrounding paint lighter. It's overall worse now than it was before I started. Avoid at all costs. I would give zero stars if that were an option.

Customer Review :

Great for minor scratches, poor for big jobs

If you're going to wash your car and just want to give a really good clean/minor resurfacing to your headlight lenses ahead of time this is a great kit.

But if you have deep scratches, and/or alot of hazing and/or yellowing, this kit is NOT enough for the job, and instead I highly recommend the 3M Headlight Restoration kit (which is what I ended up using after 2 prior attempts - this being one of them).

Rating :

Great product, easy to use, super cheap

I purchased this kit at a Walmart for approx $20 and it was totally worth every penny. My wife's 2000 Pontiac Grand Am had very foggy headlights and this kit worked wonders! It comes with a shammy cloth, a bottle of the cleaning solution and a soft brush that mounts to any drill head. Approximately 15-20 minutes of buffing per headlight and they were completely clear! Obviously this kit will not fix any fogging or condensation that builds up on the inside of the headlight, but for only $20 I was able to restore the headlights to about 90% of their original brightness. I also used it on the rear headlights and fog lights as well by applying the solution to a small piece of cloth and polishing by hand.

Overall, I would give this product a 10/10 stars - it is very cheap, extremely easy to use, doesn't require any abrasive sanding or potential damage to the car's finish, and was extremely effective. Plus, I only used about half the solution in the bottle that came with the kit, so there is easily enough for 2 cars.

Rating :

Worth every dime!

I bought this kit and I admit I was skeptical about how well it would work. I used it on my 4runner that had moderate to bad fogging of the headlight lens. It worked great! Headlamps are back to 98% like new with the only blemishes that are left are from rocks, which I would not expect it to remove anyway. Others say not to get the kit due to the price and I disagree. I have a regular buffer and for this small an area it would be hard to control. The small buffing pad provided works great especially when your reverse the drill periodically and was simple to clean.

Rating :

Good for beginners. Experienced look elsewhere

This package is sold around $25 at local retailers. When I purchased this on Amazon, it was a much better deal by several dollars.

This is an excellent beginner product package. If you've never used any power tools detailing, or only used a big orbital buffer, this set is a great way to build more experience points.

The included PLASTX is not a very strong-cutting product, making it good to learn how to use with a power drill at different speeds.

That being said, this product is no miracle worker. It will help removing staining and clouding, but don't expect it to do anything for surface damages.

More experienced people may move to Meguiars pro line, or to 3M for heavier cuts and faster work, but this stuff is just right for a weekend warrior trying to brighten up their old car's headlamps.

Rating :

Works well

Meguiar's Headlight and Clear Plastic Restoration works well, but it is not magic. It takes several minutes to remove heavy blemishes.

Question : how can i clean the K & N air filter in my car? is it ok if it gets wet during a car engine wash?
I want to clean the K & N air filter in my car, its a 2007 Ford Ikon, probably unheard of outside India. Point being, none of the shops here have the air filter cleaning kit. Is there any home grown and effective way to take care of this? Also, is it alright if the filter gets wet while an engine wash is being done?

Answer:
Your engine's air filter should not get wet merely from going through a car wash, and it would dry out on it's own even if it did.Methinks perhaps thou art bullshitting us.

Question : Will the hermit crab survive?
Just an hour ago, we got home from a boardwalk. We're on vacation, and I decided to get a hermit crab, along with a kit for $25. I've read up online and have decided to get it the proper care it will need (ie a ten gallon tank, humidifier, heater, dishes, toys, substrate, etc etc). We'll be leaving in 4 days. The temporary home is, at best, tiny. There are some neon pink rocks for bedding, a wet sponge, another shell, and some plastic plants. We're also using shells we found (and cleaned... ; D) as the food and water dishes. The kit came with food for him too. We've been misting the cage to keep it humid, and I've taken the small secondary lid off the top and replaced it with a wet rag for more humidity. We're gonna keep him outside right now, and inside at night (outside would be an enclosed, humid, hot, back porch). The cage is more of a plastic, tiny, box. There's holes at the top for air. Will he survive until we can get him home (transportation will be through car)?By the way, we own two cats at home. I wanna give this little guy as much love and attention as we give our cats.

Answer:
Yes, your hermit crab will probably be fine. Mine were living on colored gravel in a small plastic tank for about a year before I got them. With the care you are giving them, he should be just fine. Kudos on the research! More people should know what they're doing with exotic pets!!I found Hermit Crabs For Dummies to be very informative as well as a good reference the first time my crabs molted. If you don't buy it, at least read it at a book store and take notes. You'll be glad you did! :)

Question : Could you guys help me with this text? (it isn't long)?
"A article"I was in 6th grade when I first read this article in a book from my grandfathers’ home library. I tore it from the book and kept it with me; from that time I became aware of my inclination to study engineering. My interest in engineering started at a very tender age. It all began with my 5th birthday present, a Lego kit. Spaceships, castles, houses, fortress, cars, and pirate ships are just some example of the countless projects I have built with it. Legos have had an immense impact on my life. They did not only shape my childhood, but also the person that I became today. They were the jumping off point for other projects that I completed throughout my adolescence as well as for my decision in choosing engineering for major.Engineering, I admit, fascinates me in many ways. One thing that interests me in it is the use of group work and team work to achieve a common goal. In engineering we see that one cannot complete the task alone but when a group combines forces it can come out with the much desired product. One of the first times I really experienced it was in 11th grade, when I had to deal with the mechanical parts of Boreas, our rocket project, while my other friends were dealing with propulsion, economy, and strategy. Through team work much progress has been achieved, and I’m sure that as a Ipora student I will be privileged by the college’s diversity. I know that diversity of cultures, race, opinions and ideas are fundamental keys in any area of study, especially in engineering, where team work is at the basics of the course.Besides that, I see in engineering the golden opportunity to fight for a better world. I know that it may seem a bit cliché, but once one lives in a society like mine, the Brazilian, it gets almost impossible not caring about society problems, such as social disparity and hunger. Looking at these issues, I think that as a Ipora engineer I would have more chances to help solving them, for example there are hundreds of my city’s inhabitants who live in the ‘favelas’ or the slums where drug trafficking and violence is at the highest. These slums are excluded from access of basic services like water and electricity. I believe that with good engineering skills we can find solutions for these slums by finding ways of providing cheaper sources of power and clean water. With a Ipora education I know I will be connected to real-world problems and that I’ll "get my hands dirty” by transforming the theory in practical projects via group research projects. I have always known that engineering is the right tool for a better world, and with a Ipora education I’m sure I can achieve that; that as a member of the ‘Big Green' community I’ll be better suited for that.

Answer:
nice. I agree. It seems a bit ideal/unrealistic/unoriginal, considering you were in "6th grade."

Question : Im thinking about buying a '95 mustang convert, how good is that year?
It is only a V6, id prefer a V8 GT, but ah well, V6 better on gas anyways...but its red with a white body kit. pretty good condition great interior. needs a paint job just because the body kit is a different color, but both have great clear coat. i know alot of mustang lovers prefer stock but i actual like the body kit, it looks hotttt.anywhoo, 5spd manual, alot of upgrades and add ons and whatnot. i know its been in storage and not daily driven for a while, but he started it for me and we took it for a ride it seems fine. (i dont know how to drive stick yet LOL!! so i have to learn with this car.) the car has 100k miles on it. he says hes taken very good care of it and done all the routine maintainance and whatnot. it also looks like hes taken pretty good care of it besides it badly needs a wash from sitting lol. clean and clear title. i dont know anybody in my area as i just moved here or i woulda brought somebody that knows alot about cars and manuals with me to check it out and make sure its okay, but i couldnt.i dont remember anything else right now. if theres anything else i need to ask him about or know about tell me, i might already have asked him idk.also is there an easy way to check the trannys on manuals? i have no idea how, i know what their supposed to look like to be in good condition, but dont know how to check.but hes asking 4000 with the system, but i have my own so he said he would bring it to 3000. he says hes only getting rid of it because he lost his job and cant keep up with it anymore, and is a family man now so has no need to keep it. i think its a really good price for what the car looks like. how long do fords last and is that a good year for a mustang? does it have alot of known problems or anything??im selling my acura integra (although i dont know why, it is an awesome car, just looking for something new and sportier/faster) and trying to get another car asap. im really in love with this car look wise. also has lambo doors (VERY HOTTTT)what is a good mechanical year for mustang then?

Answer:
I think it's great your buying American, used or new, but save your money or buy something else American. The gen of the stang your looking at is one of the worst to maintain, i dont care how good the guy said he took care of it, it does not mean you wont have to take care of it. also insurance is gonna rape you, sports car, 2 doors not 4, and its a convertable, if your gonna pay all that your better off buying new and getting your moneys worth. Also, its a 6, not an 8, not worth buying unless you plan on flipping it for the price, but considering the custom work, body kit/lambo doors, unmatching paint job, you wont get kelly or blue book for it unless you find someone that doesnt know what theyre buying. 3000 may sound like a deal, but remember, what u pay for is what u get and if hes selling it that cheap he doesnt need the money as much as he does space, and its prolly not in good shape internally. if you choose to buy it, plan on buying a new clutch as this one has 100k and will most likey go out soon. Also plan on buying or spending money to maintain the rag as 14 years of up and down it is worn out. Good sense also says if u dont know how to drive stick, dont buy one till u do. But I can't tell you what to do with your money, just plan on spending more once you have it, cause once you have a sports car like that youll want to spend money on it and when u cant you wont enjoy it.

Question : wat do u think of this story?
ok so my friend wrote this awesome story and i want to know your opinion ok You were working one day at this old run down cafe you were walking out because your shift was over you were walking to your car. As you were driving home your car sputtered to a halt you called your neighbor to come pick you up the tow truck arrives and out of one side a really preppy guy hops out you know him its....Jason the captain of the football team."GOD ____ CANT YOU TAKE CARE OF A CAR!!""not my fault my friend said he would help but he moved""I don't care just grab the chain"As you grab the rusty chain it cuts your hand you run into the truck to the first-aid kit after you cleaned the cut Jason hopped in and told you he would take you home. You thought this was different he hated you but that mood came back when he really kicked you out of cab of the truck and drove off laughing you had fallen funny and you eared a crunch you were sure you had broken your wrist luckily your friend was there about to curse you out for calling and not showing up but when she saw you she helped you into her car and drove you to the ER. There you had to sit on one of their creepy hospital beds to wait for the X-Ray you put your head down when they sat somebody next to you. You looked over your shoulder it was a hot emo guy getting stitches on his arm and forehead you sat up and sat facing him, he blushed and sort of moved to angle himself towards you."So what happened to you?""I got pushed out of a car and broke my arm, you?""I was riding my board fell off the ramp and got my arm caught in the ramp and it.... well you can see."As you were just about to ask him what his name was they came back with your X-Ray, it was broken BAD they were going to get a type of splint under the cast but it was going to be PAINFUL to put on you wished your friend had stayed but she left you they took you into the back and put you in a creepy room you guessed sound proof. Right as they were prepping you he walked in and held your hand with his good arm."The names Sam""____""Pretty name but this is not going to be pretty squeeze if it get to be to much pain"Right then they started putting it on instead of hurting you new friend Sam you screamed but he covered your mouth with his and squeezed your hand a little you squeezed his hand back until it was done you got a lime green cast they made James leave while they wrapped your wrist. You were sure he had left as you were walking out all you could think of was that kiss how wonderful it was. You were outside now when a Black Jeep was parked in front of you it was his he had the door opened and patted the seat for you to sit down. "How did you know I was going to scream?"I have had the same break before""Oh I am.....glad you were there""Well......nobody as pretty as you should ever be in pain so I thought I would dull the pain""Well it worked."You turned to kiss his cheek he turned to kiss your cheek your lips met with sparks, no not sparks FIREWORKS. He told you he would drive you home if you told him where to go, when he stopped in front of your house he reached in front of you and grabbed a sharpie and wrote his # on your cast. You kissed his cheek and grabbed the sharpie from him and wrote your # on his arm. He walked you to your doorstep and kissed you again you walked inside and looked back he was walking backwards to his car while blowing kisses at you you pretended to catch them. You knew it was cheesy but you was the keeper of your heart now, you did not care how silly he acted. He stopped and got into his car a pulled something out then you heard your phone go off you opened it he was calling you. "I miss you, I love you""Sam we just met Love is a strong word""Oh yeah I forgot go and look at your second grade class picture."You looked."Okay now look next to you the little boy holding your hand."You dropped the picture it was...... your Sam from secong grade til 8th grade when he moved you cried for weeks because he was your first kiss, your first love. You ran outside and hugged him."Your back!""Forever honey and I am never leaving"He pointed to the house two doors down that had been for sale that now was sold you kissed him for what seemed to be forever. He was yours forever he grabbed your left and and put a ring on the ring finger it said "be my forever"."Its not a wedding ring its a forever ring because I want you to be mine till the day the sun burns out""I would love that"The rest of your life is up to you!

Answer:
it's not very "awesome". there are many mistakes. MANY mistakes. It's cheesy. ... and i just hate 2nd person in general

Question : WHat kind of car detailing kit should i use for my 2007 dodge charger? It is a dark blue/black color?
I dont want to mess p the paint and get that dreaded swirl effect. The kit i am currently looking at is Meguiar's NXT Supreme Car Care Kit. I dont want the paint to fade like my last black car did. Thanks for the help

Answer:
very good choice going with meguiarsand it also sounds like you would be ordering these stuff from ADS (autodetailingsolutions.net) correct?swirl marks are caused basically by dirt/debris getting rubbed into the paintmajority of the times, thats during the car washing processhence why when you wash, you use two bucket method, grit guards, quality soap, etc.paint fading/clear coat failure,is caused by the sun, without having protection on the paintanywaysit is a good price/kitbut i also suggest adding a paint cleaner in theresuch as Meguiar's swirlxand Meguiars nxt 2.0 tech wax,is actually a paint sealant, and their longest lasting wax/sealant they makeso, good choiceany questions, email

Question : Can I use automobile leather protection products on my leather sofa?
I bought a leather sofa, and now want to clean and protect it. The car care kits seem to be more economical than buying something from a furniture store. Do products made for automobile leather work for furniture leather? Is there a difference between the two upholsteries that prevent the products from being interchangable?

Answer:
Leather cleaners/protectants are good for leather! The auto industry products contain more "UV" protection for obvious reasons, and in smaller quantities, for smaller seats. I have used these products on my leather easy chair for a long time, and the only downside I have found, is it makes my chair a little 'slicker' than the fur nature store products.

Question : In which order should I use these car care products from Meguiars?
I have the smooth surface clay bar kit, deep crystal paint cleaner, deep crystal paint polish, swirlx, and nxt generation tech wax. Thanks!

Answer:
washclayswirlxdont need to use the paint cleaner since thats what swirlx isbut keep it for future usepolishtech wax

Question : GSR or type R integ?
up guys, i need help choosing cars, i am currently 17 , working at a sushi bar for $16.50 pre hour (been putting in work over there for almost 2 years now) , and driving a F'D up 95 camery . I was wondering if i should buy a type R. But before you tell me that it isn't right for me to get a car that has so much potential in it at such a young age, let me tell u this. if i do get it im not changing a thing to it. Keeping it STOCK and the car's true beauty with it! I ain't goana put a tranformer body kit on it to make optimus prime or megatron jealous or some ish like that. I anit goana race that much either, i've seen too many people get kill over racing, and even if i was goana race, iama race in a legit and legal place. I want this car because its a eye catcher to any ricer on the road with a 93 civic and a F'D up muffler, and plus the ladies like guys with fast cars. The insurance is goana kill me but i dont care, im a good driver with a clean record and a GREAT JOB. If anything i would be fine with having a GSR, but leaning toward type R because of the LSD tranny. And i anit worried about thief cuz they goana taste my 9mm luger, plus iama have a kill switch with gps installed. So what you guys think i should do?

Answer:
WOW, when i read this i totally thought of myself when i was 17. At 17 i bought a 2 year old integra ls( 96 ls and it was the year 1998). No body was going to tell me i couldnt afford the 17 thousand dollars it was going to cost me after all the loans where said and done. Plus the insurance and up keep. So im not going to tell you that no matter how much money you think you have you can not afford it. Cause when i was your age i wanted it so i talked myself into the fact that i could afford it. So with that out of the way i think you picked a great car with ample power for someone as young as yourself. If I had to choose between the two the gsr and the type R and knowing i was going to leave it completly stock i would choose the type R. But just rest assured i gaurantee with in the 1st 5 months you own it your going to do something to give it your personal touch. It could be after market stero, HID head lights, Tinted windows. Before you know it your car is no where near stock. So with that in mind the money you could save by buying an ls you could easly put some nice rims, tint the windows, buy a nice set of HID's and turbo charge the car. You would get more horse power out of it and it wouldnt look over kill like all these ricers i see in honda tuner. So i know you want the gsr or the type r and wanna leave it stock but im telling you i was the same way and now i got a 96 integra that does low 12s sitting on 18 inch rims full bodykit clean paint job and turbo charged. So what ever you do is cool but just remember the moment you spend all that money on the car and in 4 years you see something you wanted and then cant afford.

Question : How do I best take care of my new car?
I just bought a gently used 2006 tiburon. I intend to vacuum it religiously, not smoke, eat or drink in it, and park it faaar away from other cars. Other than that, I'm completly lost. Do i need to wax it? how often? is hand washing really safer than automatic washes? what kits are out their for car cleaning that are relatively inexpensive? Also, can i put premium gas in it when i already have a half tank of regular? I'm hesitant to mix the two for some reason.

Answer:
You should definitely put a good coat of wax on it. It should last you a few months at a time, with regular washes, depending on the climate where you live... Dont worry about a "kit" for cleaning. Go to your regular auto parts store (AutoZone, Kragens, Napa, etc) and buy some car wash soap, a good wash mitt or sponge, a good Chamois (for drying) and the wax and stuff you need to do it yourself. Its not hard, just takes some time. If you care about your car, which obviously you do or else you wouldnt be asking, the reward and feeling of fulfillment when you spend a few hours doing it all yourself and seeing the ned result is worth much more than the time it took you to do it. Hand washing is always safer than automatic washes, however there are plenty of car washes nowadays that have hand wash/touchless systems which are generally pretty good.. If you are not lazy, do it yourself. As far as the gas goes, you can definitley mix the premium and regular. Quite honestly, that car will run just fine on regular. If you want to spoil your car every now and again, throw in some premium. If todays gas prices dont bother you, use premium all the time... Good luck with the new car!
