Editorial Review :
The Diamondite Clear Plastic Kit For plastic headlight lenses contains three products that are proven to clarify OEM polycarbonate lens covers, acrylic, Plexiglas, and other hard, unpainted plastics. Our trials have shown that the Diamondite Clear Plastic Kit increases the amount of light reaching the road by up to 80%. Scratches are reduced by as much as 60%. But the impact on your driving safety is immeasurable! Todays headlight lens covers are made of polycarbonate, a hard, impact-resistant plastic. While polycarbonate is more resilient than the glass lenses of several years ago, it can dull and yellow in a matter of 1-3 years. Most Americans own their vehicles for an average of five years. The average driver spends two years on the road with ineffective headlights! Dull, ineffective headlight lenses are a bigger safety risk than you might think. Clouded lenses can reduce the amount of light illuminating the road by as much as 90%. The oxidized plastic refracts the light that is passing through the lens cover, creating a glare that is distracting to other drivers. Your vehicles headlights should light the road at least 150 feet in front of you. If they do not, you do not have enough advance visual warning to avoid a potentially dangerous and expensive accident. Maintain the clear shine of your polished plastic headlights with Diamondite Plasti-Care Plastic Cleaner, Polish & Protectant. One kit treats approximately 6-8 pairs of headlights.
Customer Review :
Got the job done
Headlights started to get a bit fogged up due to age of my car (12 years), and tried several other (cheaper) products but all only cleared the lenses for a few weeks.
It has been 6 months since decided to try Diamondite and my headlights and they are still clear.
The only problem I had with applying the product was that the buffer pads would get caught on the molding tabs on my headlights causing them to get a little bit damaged.

Question : Im thinking about buying a '95 mustang convert, how good is that year?
It is only a V6, id prefer a V8 GT, but ah well, V6 better on gas anyways...but its red with a white body kit. pretty good condition great interior. needs a paint job just because the body kit is a different color, but both have great clear coat. i know alot of mustang lovers prefer stock but i actual like the body kit, it looks hotttt.anywhoo, 5spd manual, alot of upgrades and add ons and whatnot. i know its been in storage and not daily driven for a while, but he started it for me and we took it for a ride it seems fine. (i dont know how to drive stick yet LOL!! so i have to learn with this car.) the car has 100k miles on it. he says hes taken very good care of it and done all the routine maintainance and whatnot. it also looks like hes taken pretty good care of it besides it badly needs a wash from sitting lol. clean and clear title. i dont know anybody in my area as i just moved here or i woulda brought somebody that knows alot about cars and manuals with me to check it out and make sure its okay, but i couldnt.i dont remember anything else right now. if theres anything else i need to ask him about or know about tell me, i might already have asked him idk.also is there an easy way to check the trannys on manuals? i have no idea how, i know what their supposed to look like to be in good condition, but dont know how to check.but hes asking 4000 with the system, but i have my own so he said he would bring it to 3000. he says hes only getting rid of it because he lost his job and cant keep up with it anymore, and is a family man now so has no need to keep it. i think its a really good price for what the car looks like. how long do fords last and is that a good year for a mustang? does it have alot of known problems or anything??im selling my acura integra (although i dont know why, it is an awesome car, just looking for something new and sportier/faster) and trying to get another car asap. im really in love with this car look wise. also has lambo doors (VERY HOTTTT)what is a good mechanical year for mustang then?
Answer:
I think it's great your buying American, used or new, but save your money or buy something else American. The gen of the stang your looking at is one of the worst to maintain, i dont care how good the guy said he took care of it, it does not mean you wont have to take care of it. also insurance is gonna rape you, sports car, 2 doors not 4, and its a convertable, if your gonna pay all that your better off buying new and getting your moneys worth. Also, its a 6, not an 8, not worth buying unless you plan on flipping it for the price, but considering the custom work, body kit/lambo doors, unmatching paint job, you wont get kelly or blue book for it unless you find someone that doesnt know what theyre buying. 3000 may sound like a deal, but remember, what u pay for is what u get and if hes selling it that cheap he doesnt need the money as much as he does space, and its prolly not in good shape internally. if you choose to buy it, plan on buying a new clutch as this one has 100k and will most likey go out soon. Also plan on buying or spending money to maintain the rag as 14 years of up and down it is worn out. Good sense also says if u dont know how to drive stick, dont buy one till u do. But I can't tell you what to do with your money, just plan on spending more once you have it, cause once you have a sports car like that youll want to spend money on it and when u cant you wont enjoy it.

Question : Restoration of a '87 El Camino?
My question/s will follow this explanation. I have a basic white '87 El Camino with minor rust spots and holes, Missing some chrome, Or having rust on rest of chrome chrome. It is stock white with a dark red interior. It is a v-6. it is completly road legal except for needing a muffler and a shock spring. My plans for it are to get the body fixed(the rust and rust holes), A muffler put on, Replace the spring unless the new lift kit takes care of it, The chrome redone, New matte black paint job, The interior cleaned and redone in black, A 3 inch lift kit with larger tires, And some engine tuning. I have a fair amount of cash to work with. I want to pay someone to do it, Without getting ripped off as I have absolutly no clue how to fix a car. Where should I start and how much will it cost, One end to the other?. Any other tips?
Answer:
The bad news is throwing a round number at your project isn't easy to do. I'd start with references from your friends and family. Word of mouth is the best solution. Another option would be to join a Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com) for auto restoration, maybe in your area, and they can give you a reference.I'd hit ebay for the parts you'll need (chrome, etc.).Also, rim's and tires are SUPER expensive from the auto parts stores that specialize in that stuff. I'd hit tirerack.com and put in your vehicle information, and see what rims are there. From there, go back to ebay and search for them. You'll find that on ebay the prices are like half compared to other manufacturers. The bad news is... once you start pulling parts off the car to do the restore, you might find all sorts of bad news... rusted other parts, or whatever.Good luck!

Question : How much do you think this 2000 Mustang is worth?
Here is the listing details and pics."i have a 2000 ford mustang. blue in color, v6 & a automatic.it has light damage in the front bumper due to all of the holes & hills. The front bumper was cracked when i got the car & the pecies that are chiped were barely hanging then. Nothing that 80 dollars couldnt fix.it has 112xxx miles, very cheap on gas, runs & drives great. Never been wrecked, clear title, & ive never had a problem at all out of it other than the recent exhaust leak that it has, but its minor. all it needs is a gasket which is 10.00 at advance, ive checked just havent had time to get it fixed. Custom sun roof, body kit, pioneer CD player, light up gas and break peddals blue neon underglow, tinted windows, blue & black seat covers, blue and grey interior, 17" inch ultra spyder chrome rims with new good year tires & the factory rims with tires. New halo projector headlights not even three weeks old that have blue led lights around them. This car has been well taken care of, if it was up to me i would keep it! Right now i have two 12 inch audiobahns in it with a 1600 watt legacy amp that also has blue led lights, but i haven't made up my mind if I'm going to let it go with it or not (depends on how much i sale it for.) I have a aftermarket spoiler (thats in the picture) and the origional factory spoiler. A aftermarket grill thats on it now & the factory grill. clear tail lights & origional tail lights. Car is clean inside & out."Here are the pics that were listed.http://img110.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mustangtk4.jpghttp://img120.imageshack.us/img120/325 9/mustangny2.pngHow much do you think is a fair price for it. They are asking $5200 obo.lmao......FYI: its a car i'm looking to buy maybe. not mine.
Answer:
I do think it is a little high also. I have a 2003 mustang v6 with 102,000 miles, and I recently checked the Kelly Blue Book and it was around 5,000 dollars. You have more miles with minor damage. I would say 3,500 dollars should be a good price for that.

Question : GSR or Typr R integ?
up guys, i need help choosing cars, i am currently 17 , working at a sushi bar for $16.50 pre hour (been putting in work over there for almost 2 years now) , and driving a F'D up 95 camery . I was wondering if i should buy a type R. But before you tell me that it isn't right for me to get a car that has so much potential in it at such a young age, let me tell u this. if i do get it im not changing a thing to it. Keeping it STOCK and the car's true beauty with it! I ain't goana put a tranformer body kit on it to make optimus prime or megatron jealous or some ish like that. I anit goana race that much either, i've seen too many people get kill over racing, and even if i was goana race, iama race in a legit and legal place. I want this car because its a eye catcher to any ricer on the road with a 93 civic and a F'D up muffler, and plus the ladies like guys with fast cars. The insurance is goana kill me but i dont care, im a good driver with a clean record and a GREAT JOB. If anything i would be fine with having a GSR, but leaning toward type R because of the LSD tranny. And i anit worried about thief cuz they goana taste my 9mm luger, plus iama have a kill switch with gps installed. So what you guys think i should do?
Answer:
go with either one, integras are grate

Question : Will a performance suspension increase the value of my Civic?
I have a 95 Honda Civic DX Coupe with about 220,000 miles that is straight and clean and complete and has never been wrecked, one owner with a clean title. Also totally stock. I did a minor rebuild on the Engine 3 years and 40,000 miles ago.I am about to do a complete overhaul on the front suspension and probably the rear suspension. The steering rack is leaking and 1 CV boot is torn, and the tie rod boots are destroyed. Currently the front struts are original and the rear have over 100,000 miles on them too. At a minimum I am going to use an Energy Suspension Master Bushing kit, get a re manufactured rack, replace the upper and lower ball joints and all the tie rod parts, and install at least "better than OEM" shocks like low end KYBs or the Bilstein Touring on all 4 corners. I am considering doing Eibach spring / strut Pro-Package lowering kit and / or the Eibach front and rear sway bar kit. I'm leaning towards the sway bars at least, and debating on lowering since I don't really WANT to go lower, just want better handling. The car is a daily grocery getter and it's primarily my wife's car and she could care less. So, would an extra $300 to $500 for sport springs and shocks and $250 for sway bars actually increase the sale value of my Civic shell something somewhat close to the extra cost?Well I agree with the general principle that mods decrease resale value. But you also have to look at the specifics - we are talking about a 15 year old car with 220,000 miles on it and it is a compact. Also it is one of the 10 most popular cars for young people to "tune" or "pimp out" etc. Responsible adults aren't going to be buying this car regardless. It is also totally depreciated out at this point. It is a bit of an exception in the car world in that it isn't worth much less if it doesn't even run since 1/2 of the guys that want one plan to do a B18 or JDM swap. It is worth $800 to $900 just for the clean and complete shell with clean title. As is with the needed repairs it's worth ~$1,200 to $1,500. I'm planning to put nearly $2,000 of parts and tires into it and no way could I get that back if I sold it. My only question is if another $400 for extra trick coilovers would partly pay off in resale value.
Answer:
Generally speaking all add ons to the car will not increase its resale value thats why other people removes expensive accessories when they sell their cars. Even you explained it to the buyers, they might not think of it seriously. They still rely on the car's year model. In some occasion, if the buyer is a car lover, they will understand it and might think of it as an asset. Hope this help!

Thanks!
Answer:
I'll answer a long post with another long post.First of all, most of those vehicles seem like only fair deals. I'm currently looking for a car for a family member with a $5,000 budget, and many of these seem a little shaky. To break the list down a little bit, I'd say go for the Honda Civic (#7). It has the fewest miles and still doesn't cost too much. On the other hand, I haven't seen the car, so I don't know what kind of shape it's in.To make this a little easier, I would say set yourself some better standards. First off, I noticed all these cars are $4,000 or less, so I'm assuming your budget is $4,000. You can look for cars at this website:http://www.autotrader.comwhere you just have to limit your search to your price range and the distance you're willing to travel to look for a car. With a $4,000 budget, you should be able to find a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles on it. Your best bet would be a used compact or midsize, as they have a nice balance between gas mileage, power, and size. Look for one of these models from the late 1990s:- Compacts -Acura IntegraBMW 318Chevrolet CavalierDodge NeonFord EscortHonda CivicMazda ProtegeMercury TracerNissan SentraOldsmobile AchievaPontiac Grand AmPontiac SunfireSaturn SLSubaru ImprezaToyota CorollaVolkswagen GolfVolkswagen Jetta- Midsizes -Buick CenturyBuick RegalChevrolet LuminaChrysler CirrusDodge StratusFord ContourFord TaurusHonda AccordMazda 626Mazda MilleniaMercury MystiqueMercury SableMitsubishi GalantNissan AltimaNissan MaximaOldsmobile AleroOldsmobile IntrigueSubaru LegacyToyota CamryVolkswagen PassatI hope this has answered your question. Question : what is the best wax?
i have an mint 02 durango slt+ and i use turtle wax ice liquid polish and liquid clay and in like a couple weeks im planning on doing an complete car clean and iv been looking at meguiars nxt generation tech wax 2.0 and is this an good product? i want an wax tht will give the most shine but for like usally under 25bucks. i dont care if its hard to apply i just want her to look the best and also is the smooth surface clay kit the best u can buy? i dont rlly have any stuff stuck in my paint at all but i just LOVE how it makes the cars look like glass again i just want the car to look the absolutly best but for an half way decent price. here is an picture of my durango up close but its from an while agohttp://www.motortopia.com/album/view/p/cars/t/vehicle/v/15445/a/19941/i/the_new_apperance/po/23/p l/1 heres an nother pic http://www.motortopia.com/album/view/p/cars/t/vehicle/v/15445/a/19941/i/the_new_apperance/po/0/pl/th e car looks tht way because of how the sun was tht day but i cant complain! so if u know any other good products tell me PLZ!also should i use the deep crystal system paint cleaner? also should i use the deep crystal system polish? and wht is the best rim cleaner thts cheaper but cleans better, quicker, and gives an nice shine? all the products i mentained are from meguiarsTHANK U SOOOOO MUCH!sryy to bug u again but iv notice i have some mild swirl marks and at 1 spot a lil bit of tht HALO stuff and will the wax remover it or remove most of tht stuff or should i buy the swirlx product by meguiars? again thx sooo much!also how many coats of wax do u think i should apply 2 maybe? thx!
Answer:
If youve never used a real clay barand only the liquid stuffyoull be amazed at what a real clay bar will pull offTech wax is a good waxTwo coats is bestYou can also apply tech wax, then apply Their Gold class wax over it, some people like to do thatThe deep cyrstal paint cleaner is very very mild and has been discontinued. For light swirls, Meguiars swirlx, although depending how deep they are, and how hard your clear coat is, you may need to step it up to Ultimate compound. The DC polish is optional, specially since UC and Swirlx contain polishing oils in them. Youll notice more difference in darker colors, but wont hurt on lighter colors, and its pretty cheap anyways.Wax wont remove swirl marksits non-abrasiveit may hide light swirl marks/scratchesbut doesnt get rid of themAlso, guy belowyour suppose to wipe scratchx off after youre done working it in, y ou dont let it drythen you also actually remove the polishing oils from the scratchxwhy?thats what makes the car shine..

Question : how can i clean the K & N air filter in my car? is it ok if it gets wet during a car engine wash?
I want to clean the K & N air filter in my car, its a 2007 Ford Ikon, probably unheard of outside India. Point being, none of the shops here have the air filter cleaning kit. Is there any home grown and effective way to take care of this? Also, is it alright if the filter gets wet while an engine wash is being done?
Answer:
Your engine's air filter should not get wet merely from going through a car wash, and it would dry out on it's own even if it did.Methinks perhaps thou art bullshitting us.

Question : wat do u think of this story?
ok so my friend wrote this awesome story and i want to know your opinion ok You were working one day at this old run down cafe you were walking out because your shift was over you were walking to your car. As you were driving home your car sputtered to a halt you called your neighbor to come pick you up the tow truck arrives and out of one side a really preppy guy hops out you know him its....Jason the captain of the football team."GOD ____ CANT YOU TAKE CARE OF A CAR!!""not my fault my friend said he would help but he moved""I don't care just grab the chain"As you grab the rusty chain it cuts your hand you run into the truck to the first-aid kit after you cleaned the cut Jason hopped in and told you he would take you home. You thought this was different he hated you but that mood came back when he really kicked you out of cab of the truck and drove off laughing you had fallen funny and you eared a crunch you were sure you had broken your wrist luckily your friend was there about to curse you out for calling and not showing up but when she saw you she helped you into her car and drove you to the ER. There you had to sit on one of their creepy hospital beds to wait for the X-Ray you put your head down when they sat somebody next to you. You looked over your shoulder it was a hot emo guy getting stitches on his arm and forehead you sat up and sat facing him, he blushed and sort of moved to angle himself towards you."So what happened to you?""I got pushed out of a car and broke my arm, you?""I was riding my board fell off the ramp and got my arm caught in the ramp and it.... well you can see."As you were just about to ask him what his name was they came back with your X-Ray, it was broken BAD they were going to get a type of splint under the cast but it was going to be PAINFUL to put on you wished your friend had stayed but she left you they took you into the back and put you in a creepy room you guessed sound proof. Right as they were prepping you he walked in and held your hand with his good arm."The names Sam""____""Pretty name but this is not going to be pretty squeeze if it get to be to much pain"Right then they started putting it on instead of hurting you new friend Sam you screamed but he covered your mouth with his and squeezed your hand a little you squeezed his hand back until it was done you got a lime green cast they made James leave while they wrapped your wrist. You were sure he had left as you were walking out all you could think of was that kiss how wonderful it was. You were outside now when a Black Jeep was parked in front of you it was his he had the door opened and patted the seat for you to sit down. "How did you know I was going to scream?"I have had the same break before""Oh I am.....glad you were there""Well......nobody as pretty as you should ever be in pain so I thought I would dull the pain""Well it worked."You turned to kiss his cheek he turned to kiss your cheek your lips met with sparks, no not sparks FIREWORKS. He told you he would drive you home if you told him where to go, when he stopped in front of your house he reached in front of you and grabbed a sharpie and wrote his # on your cast. You kissed his cheek and grabbed the sharpie from him and wrote your # on his arm. He walked you to your doorstep and kissed you again you walked inside and looked back he was walking backwards to his car while blowing kisses at you you pretended to catch them. You knew it was cheesy but you was the keeper of your heart now, you did not care how silly he acted.
