Better than I expected.
When this came out all I could see was another snake oil gimmick that's supposed to make Mr. Average Homeowner look like Mr. Hi-Tech Pro. But when the local CVS was selling the complete starter kit for 5 bucks...yeah, five...c'mon, what do I have to lose? The filter said it was good for about 3 average washes if I remember right, so with a Chevy Avalanche (without all the ugly plastic) I figured I might get 2. Nyah, it's just five bux! I use it according to the directions, then I rinse it, sometimes using my pressure washer, and once I have all the soap rinsed off I use the unit just to do a final rinse the way they say. The thing actually works fairly well. The water sheets off and, you know how dark colors are, the truck actually looks pretty good. I usually have to go around with a damp chammy to pick up a couple water drips and runs after it's dried but overall, it doesn't work too bad. What gets me is I've probably washed that truck 6 or 8 times and the filter still hasn't turned brown yet so I guess I have a couple more washes coming! I'll just say I think I got my 5 dollars worth.

Out, Out Darn Water Spots
Mr. Clean auto dry system is easy to use and really brings out the maximum shine on your car.The only problem I have encountered is in trying to find the product. Target and Kragen used to carry Mr. Clean's Auto Dry system but no longer, so I was extremely happy to find it on Amazon.com ...

Great product
We use the MR. Clean Autodry car wash kit all the time. The water filter system is great, no towel drying needed. Leaves the car shiny and clean, no water spots. The refill filters are impossible to find in stores.

Mr. Clean Autodry De-Ionizing Water Filter
Mr. Clean Autodry De-Ionized water filter is the only way to go. I've used this product for five years and never been disatisfied. I typically drive black cars and wouldn't think of washing my cars without it. It gives me a spot free finish without the time spent on shammying after washing. I would definitly recommend this product to others.

Not Squeaky Clean!
I bought this product for my 2010 Honda Civic. The windshield has a steep slope so I wanted something that could easily reach down to the dashboard.
Pros: -I thought it was well made for the money. -Could easily reach all parts of the windshield.
Con: -Could not prevent a film of dust/fuzz from the micro fiber cloth.

I LIKE IT!!
I ORDERED THIS NOT EXPECTING MUCH OF A PRODUCT, BUT I HAVE TO SAY I AM IMPRESSED. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS I WISH THE HANLD WAS MADE A LITTLE STRONGER FEELING ATLEAST. BUT IT SERVES THE PURPOSE.
I PAY SOMEONE TO WASH MY CAR AND CLEAN THE WINDOWS I AM NOT GOOD AT WINDOW CLEANING, (IM A GUY) BUT THIS CLEANING DEVICE MAKES IT REALLY EASY TO GET THE STREEKS OUT. I FOUND IT IS BEST TO WAIT TILL YOUR WINDOW / WINDSHIELD BEGANS TO FOG SOME AND THE STREEKS SHOW. THAT IS THE BEST TIME TO USE THIS DEVICE TO BUFF OUT THE STREEKS. I DONT USE ANY CLEANING LIQUIDS JUST THE PAD TO RUBB OUT THE STREEKS

Windshield wonder is wonderful!
This product works great on all glass surfaces. It is especially helpful for the car windshields, front and back. I give this 5*'s.

It Works
It does what it says, that's for sure. You know how a "sanding block" is better than just holding sand paper in your hand? Same idea here. The long handle and wide rectangular surface area makes it so much faster to clean any window evenly. I like mine.

While the rpice of item wasn't bad, I found out just after purchase that I could have bought the same item for slightly less money at my local CVS. In doing that I could have saved shipping cost too.

Customer Review :
filtered water really does help with water spots
I've been using this product for over 5 years now and I just bought my 3rd one (in no relation to it's durability). I also want to let people know that I am a moderate to extreme car care person so I might be a little more detailed or use methods not normally used. I use this product for it's quick water to filtered water nozzle, that's it. I don't use the soap because I use a better (and unfortunately, more expensive) product. I also use a wash mitt with microfiber "hairs" on one side and a bug and crap scrubbing side and a bucket of clean water and bucket of soap and water(my soap clogs the products soap dispenser). This product really helps make it easy to turn the water on and off at the thumb area. The water pressure is just strong enough to blast off any excess dust and grime with the first rinse. Doing a few body panels at a time, hosing off the soap and grime right away really helps with preventing spots on the car after drying. The filter water function is also the best part of this product. It is a bit tedious, almost like spraying paint on your car from the top down in order to ensure NO water spots. You can leave it as is after rinsing but I've found that sometimes, you miss a spot and water spots end up in certain areas. I go the extra step by using a squeegee and get most of the water off and then use a microfiber towel to dry the remaining water. I must agree with other reviewers that the filter really does not last long as well. The product says 10 uses but I highly doubt that. I have to replace it after about 4 to 5 washes and I think I use the filtered function as necessary in order to prevent water spots - top down method and spraying like a paint gun.

Item no longer manufactured
After ordering and receiving this item, I had a question and called the 800 number. According to the person on the other end, this item and the filters have not been manufactured by Mr. Clean since December 2009. As the filters are no longer available and there are no other manufacturers for them, we had to return the item. Too bad because other people who have had them swear by them and we were willing to try them out.
Rating :
This Works GREAT
I was a little bit skeptical because... well, I'am skeptical about almost everything. But car dealerships have been using an ionized filtered water rinse for washing all their cars for a long time and it works great. So I took the $20 plunge.
It worked as advertised. It took less time that it usually does to wash my truck, took much less water, and importantly, I never touched my truck with ANY drying device. I rinsed it and it dried beautifully without even 1 spot on the chrome, windows or body! Perfect.
I have read reviews where people are angry that the components [soap and filter] have been discontinued but, I found them at Rite-Aid AND in bulk and in singles here at Amazon and at ebay. Some people need to be lead to the water and re-taught how to sip from the well.
All in all I found this car wash system to be exactly what it is advertised to be. More or less a system that removes the need to hand dry, and a water saving devise.
Rating :
Product works, but discontinued & expensive to get filters and soap...
I would have given this item 4 stars, but I am really mad at P&G for discontinuing the Mr. Clean Auto Dry system. I just paid $90 to get 10 filters delivered to my door from an eBay seller. It does work really well on black cars, spots are always a problem even if you hand dry. I only use the device to spray unfiltered and filtered water while washing. I found the device to waste soap if you fill the handle with soap, so I squirt some directly soap onto damp clean microfiber car wash mop and don't fill the soap reservoir. Your soap goes alot further if you put it on the mitt instead of in the device! Those cheesey filters don't get 10 washes for me. Maybe I over rinse or my water is really hard, but I am lucky to get 5 or six washes out of the filter. My first point is don't buy this product! replacement filters and soap are double what they were retail one year ago! And as they become scarcer they will get even more overpriced. When I run out of soap I will use a good car wash soap and when I run out of filters in two years I will pitch the autodry system completely. Here is the worst part... These hillbilly sellers bought these parts from a wholesale liquidator at 10 cents on the dollar and now they are charging over the Kmart store prices.

I cannot review this product since I never received it. I receive my mail at a post office box, an option I was not given when I placed the order. I provided my home address to which I get no postal delivery. The product shipped on May 28 and arrived at the Post Office in Kona, HI on June 3. It took until June 11 for them to discover that they could not deliver it to my residence in Hilo, HI since I get no mail delivery there. Since then, I have had no further contact either from Amazon or the company that shipped the product. I have also had no refund on my purchase. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. If the Post Office is going to deliver the product, it seems to me that they could deliver it to a Post Office box AT THE POST OFFICE!

Meguiar's Even-Coat Applicator has specialized microfiber material that produces amazing results when applying wax or polish. It is ideally sized for long-term comfort and you can wash and dry as you would any towel.

Nice addition to my cleaning kit
Works as advertised and feels very soft on the paint, used to rub in the scratch remover and was felt good using. Can't really do much describing this other than it does what it's supposed to, is solidly constructed and is large enough for an adult male to hold in one hand each and transfer the pressure towards the job.
That's it...

Nice, easy application of polish or wax...!!!
These applicators are made well and really make a messy job easy...buy these to wax your car and you won't be disappointed...!!!
Rating :
Great addition to my car detailing kit
These are the best applicator pads that I've used. The microfiber exterior really makes a complete distribution of wax. I used to apply polishing compound as well to remove some scratches and didn't have very good luck, but after reading the instructions on the bottle, I tried a terry cloth applicator and had much better results.
Rating :
Works well, just as described..
These are nice applicators & reasonably priced. I used them with Meguiar's G14422 Ultimate Quick Detailer & just wish I would have bought a few bigger micro towels to use with this product (my fault) but they hold up well & should be great for waxing.
Rating :
expected too much?
I think I expected too much with this product. I have a 20 yr. old toyota camry and it has a LOT of surface scratches. Thought this product would "buff" them out. Makes a nice shine on the car but definitely not removing the scratches as expected.
Shipping was quick, though. And product was as described. Good price for good quality materials.

Editorial Review :
The permanent solution to sun-faded bumpers and trim moldings.Forever Black restores a dark, black, finish on sun-faded bumpers and body moldings. This is not a cosmetic dressing. It's an easy-to-use permanent dye. It permanently colors black plastic, rubber and vinyl with the same polymers that the manufacturers use. It is not a silicone dressing - silicone products will make plastic, vinyl and rubber appear to have regained their color but the change is temporary. Plus, silicone oils have been known to dry out the applied areas creating a bigger problem. Silicone also tends to leave a greasy residue even after buffing.
Customer Review :
Excellent Product
This product does everything it says it will do. It goes on easy with the cheap foam brushes from Walmart. I didn't even try the applicator that comes on the bottle after reading the reviews. I used it on my severly faded side step pads on my truck and now they look the way they did when they were new.
Rating :
forever black... works
I used it on our JEEP on some of trim around the windows (hard doors).. I will say, two coats is a must and will probably follow up with 3. but I will say, the trim looks 100% better than it did before I started...

Pretty Impressive!
I have been dealing with stupid oxidation on the side skirts of my car for the last 2 years and it made my car look like crap..no matter what I bought at the local auto store nothing seemed to work at all..maybe for a day or two at most! So I did my research and found that many people were happy with their "forever black" purchase so I joined the band wagon and bought it..BEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE!! It was super easy to apply and their was plenty of it for everything on my car.. Many people complain that it streaked a little but if you put on 2 or 3 coats of it then there will be no streaking. Its like applying shoe polish (same style applicator). Since I have bought and used this my dad has bought and used it on his BMW which made the car look brand new again. Its a bummer that plastic on a car can become oxidized in such a quick amount of time but this stuff works and it works great..I put it on my car around a month ago and it looks just as good now as the day it applied it! I recommend this forever black to anyone with this problem.. its a cheap and easy fix!
Rating :
Forever Black, WOW!
WOW! This stuff is amazing. I bought a used Chevy Tracker. All the vinyl was chaklie white and striped. Two coats of Forever Black and it was a beautiful black color again! There is enough dye to do 3-4 applications. The only complaint is that the applicator deteriorates after several apps.
Rating :
Prepare Carefully!
Definitely black, but a little streaky.
I carefully washed with warm water, a scrubby sponge, and dish soap and then the same process again with the provided cleaner. After my fenders were completely dry, I applied three coats in the shade with a foam brush and allowed each to dry 20 minutes between applications.
Three of my fender flares came out very black, but with streaks. The fourth wouldn't accept the dye in a few areas, leaving me with a mostly black but blotchy flare...???
They're not perfect, but they're far better than they were. I'd suspect my blotchy results are a result of my failure to completely remove all of the old silicon residue. Clean carefully!

Questions & Answers
Question : Which car will be a better choice For My First Car:1997 BMW 328i Convertible or 1996 Honda Accord?
Well I'm 19 and I'm buying my first car, and I can't decide which car will be better. The BMW will be more taking care of, but I can do that. The Honda Accord is older and has more miles, but less expensive. I've asked friends, and they're split down the middle about both cars. Either very fond of the BMW or highly against it. Here's important information about the two cars.1997 BMW 328i ConvertiblePrice: $10,000-133,000~ miles-Automatic transmission-exterior: light blue-interior: all leather, white/blue color combination1996 Honda AccordPrice: $3,500-160,000 miles-Automatic transmission-exterior: light blue-interior: cloth seats, etc
Answer:
BMWs can be very, very expensive to fix. My daughter had one. She married an auto technician and now drives a Honda pilot. Hondas are very reliable cars and last a long time—verify it with Consumer reports for the best comparison.A car will be one of the most costly things in your life due to insurance, maintenance, repairs, gasoline, oil, etc. Unlike a home, it is not an asset or an investment. Choose wisely, and the most expensive car is not always the best. Look for a make that does not require much in the way of repairs. A certified auto technician will tell you what cars he sees in the shop all the time for repairs, and which ones he doesn't see because they are made well.

Question : Cleaning the exterior of a car question?
So it is a 1996 Subaru Legacy station wagon with dark green paint and plastic trim that was either black or dark gray im not sure. Well the good news is there is no rust the bad news is there is a small spot above the rear wheel becoming rust, so how would should I stop the corrosion? It has some scratches and really small bits (like pea size) of the clear paint missing in spots how can I make the spots and scratches less noticeable? Also the trim which is plastic is faded it was either a dark grey or black and now it light grey so I was wondering how to darken the color with out paint (well if paint is the only way then oh well but if there is another way I want to know)? What do you use to protect the rubber/ vinyl on your car? Also what is clay, waxing, polishing, buffing, washing, and how do you use them and what is the best kind of each?I don't really care how long it takes to clean the car but the longer I can go with out having to clean it the better. Thanks
Answer:
1. wash car2. clay car-This removes contaminants stuck to your paint that normal washing wont get off. I recommend Meguiar's Smooth surface clay kit. You can also use the clay bar on your windows/wheels too, but of course, do the paint first. Can also wash your car after claying, but isnt necessary3.paint cleaners-These remove swirl marks/scratches/oxidation/etc. Different strenghts, depending on the severity of the paint. I suggest Meguiars Swirlx. Swirlx may not be aggressive enough, so you may need to step it up to Meguiar's ultimate compound, then follow it with Swirlx. How to use Paint cleaners: after washing and claying your car. Apply the product to a microfiber applicator. Work the product in a 16x16 in section for about a minute, then remove with microfiber towel, dont let dry. Inspect results, repeat process if needed, see if its up to your par, if not, step up to ultimate compound. Otherwise, if youre done with the section, move on and repeat. You apply ultimate compound in the same way.4.Pure Polish. This step is optional, as if you were to use a paint cleaner, such as the ones mentioned above, since they already have polishing oils in them. You'll notice more of a difference in using a pure polish on darker colors, but wont hurt to do it on lighter colors. Meguirs deep crystal polish is their most user friendly polish. Their #7 polish is the best polish, but side-by-side, it will be hard to tell a difference. To apply polish, apply to microfiber applicator. Work in about the same size section, kinda message it into the paint (much like applying lotion to your skin) for about 40 seconds, then wipe off with microfiber towel, dont let dry.Wax:. Protects paint, gives shine, locks in polish. This is the only product you let dry. Apply to microfiber applicator, apply to paint evenly in circle motions. Let dry to haze. Wipe off with microfiber towel. Two applications is best. Also best to wait 12 hours between applications, but if not, wont hurt. Nxt 2.0 tech wax is Meguiars most popular wax. Then, tire shine, cant have shiny paint with horrible dull looking tires. Any will do.All these products can be found at wal-mart.Then for the plastic trim/bumpersMeguiars Natural shine protectant, or supreme shine protectantIt'll make it look like new.Apply to microfiber towel, wipe onlet dry for 10 min, wipe offAny questionsemail

Question : Is Auto Armor car care protection Really worthed for a brand new black car?
Auto Armor states exterior, and interior, and leather & vinyl protection is like a plastic sheet on your entire car.

If they are charging you less than $1.98 to treat your car I'd buy it. Any more than that your wasting your money. Just wash and wax your car regularly.

Question : Which car is better..Lexus gs 460..or the Lexus is 350?
I'm getting a car soon.i want it to look good.and i want the exterior to be black.other than that i dont care what car it is.but which car is better in features and such?
Answer:
Two very different cars. The IS is smaller and better handling, but the ride isn't as smooth as the GS. The GS is marketed as a sporty car, but it's more luxury than sporty. The GS 460 is much more like a luxury car very close to the LS 460. The GS is just more of a sporty car.You really need to look into what is important to you. I looked at both cars before buying the IS 350. The GS was really nice, but the only issue I had was the trunk space in the GS. For a mid size car, the trunk was rather small.I assume that you are looking for something sporty. If that is what you want, the IS 350 is a good ride. The GS 460 is much more softer riding and lots of power too. If you have the money for the GS460, buy the LS460.That's just my opinion.

Question : What good companies to trust online for exterior car parts?
Ive never bought online ive mainly gone to used car part places around my city or the pick-n-pull but ive ran across a few pages that have some good prices for exterior parts and there primered which would be less of a hassle then having my car more than two different colors incase i cant find the parts i need off one vehicle. The only other option is going to the main dealer but sometimes you can find better deals else where. There were a few sites i found exterior parts and I know the company is legit but they didnt have my year. I have a 93 honda accord and im not looking to sport it up i just want to replace the front, rear bumper and my right headlight due to dents. Unless more sporty looking parts are cheaper which i highly doubt it, i honestly wouldnt care i just want my care looking clean as it still drives excellent.I was just looking for some legit companies online if anyone knows, other wise ill just stick to going around town searching for something decent enough.
Answer:
Those parts are generally made in Taiwan,as copies of the originals, and are high quality for a reasonable price. They are available locally through most any auto parts store. They generally have a catalog on hand and order them from a warehouse nearby. It really doesn't pay to order them online because of the huge shipping charges, but if you want to, Ebay Motors always has sellers for that type of thing.

Question : Any suggestion for me if I wanted to get Mazda RX-8 for a new sport car driver?
I saw a 2007 Mazda RX-8 and it has about 31k miles on it; and it only costs $15995.00. This car is also an AT car. I'm not really good in operating MT car and I don't want to be regret for getting a MT car. I'm really in love with this car because of the cool exterior and very fun driving sport car (as lot of sport car driver said) I have been dreaming of getting this car for so long!! What happen is;this will be my first car and also will be my first rotary engine car. I did a lot of research about this car and a lots of positive and negative comments ppl post about it. The main problem which is the "engine flood",need to change "spark plug","coil", the car cannot start after couple days later if you didn't run the engine and hard to start when it's cold. So I'm not quite sure is it easy for a new sport car driver that have not much knowledge about cars and also rotary engine will be to take care this car nicely (which is me). I'm just afraid of the maintenances are expensive. Does this car needs to change the spark plugs and coil very often and so do oil? I can't really afford for car tow and expensive maintenance if somethings wrong. I also read that this car needed to add fluid oil very often and I'm not sure what it is and how to do it. For use purpose; I only use this car to work from Monday to Friday and my job is about 1.5 miles away from my apartment. Weekend drive around town to run errand such as grocery shops, dinner and etc. All are pretty short drives and I don't want to have problem restart it after shut off the engine outside the restaurant or grocery store. Maybe once in a while on the weekend I will drive out of town from Victoria to Houston (about 120 miles away). I heard that is not really good to start this car and drive for short distance and shut the engine off. So should I get this car or not? Hope to hear from you and I really appreciate for additional information how to take care of this care this car with less problem and also good advice. Thanks guys =)I forgot to ask one more thing. Are those problems only occurs on the 04,05 and 06 models? I can't really find people posting the problem for 07 models and through the latest 2010. I have been Google the problems for the latest RX-8 problem and can't really find any.
Answer:
The rx8 is a really great driver's car. But AT really? If you are going for a fun car, just learn to drive MT. You will get the most out of the car. But if you love the car, get it.

Question : How much would a good car paint job cost me IF......?
I have a red 2006 Nissan Sentra and I want to repaint the entire exterior of the car black. I mean ONLY the exterior. Places on the car like under the hood, inside the trunk, the door jambs, insides of the bumpers, etc can stay red for all I care. I just want the car to look black when I drive by people. How much would a decent quality paint job under these conditions cost? Thanks!
Answer:
2-5 grand. Thats if you want once that will last you atleast 5 years.Anything under 2 grand will peel and fade withing 3 months trust me. I know it sounds expensive but cheap places like maaco will only paint over your paint or will cheap out and use low quality.
