Works great!

This sponge works great when removing splattered bugs. I went on a long road trip from California to Yellowstone National Park (and back of course) and the front of my car was caked with dead bugs when I got home. In no time, all the bugs were gone just from using this sponge with regular Meguiars car wash. It did not leave one scratch on my car during the bug removal process. I highly recommend it!

Great stuff!

This product does what is says it will do. I already knew it would work prior to purchasing it on Amazon because my mother has been using it for years to get oil out of jeans. No matter what the stain is, this will remove it. I even have old stains that have been set by the dryer and it still removed them!

Good Product Works great.

I have been using Turtle Wax products for who knows how long. This Tar and Bug remover works great. I start on one end of the car front to back with the spray. Go back to the front and start wiping the tar. Gone in 5 seconds. Bugs, well if you leave them on for weeks or months don't blame the product. Blame yourself. Bugs will kill a paint job. If you use it with in a few days it works great on bugs also.

WORKS GREAT FOR ME

Let me say that i regularly wax my car and clean it. I got some sap from a pine tree on the rear boot, and some on the rear window. I tried everything to get it off with no luck. Got this stuff to try, you MUST let it sit for a couple mins. then SCRUB SCRUB SCRUB. after two- three applications my tree sap was GONE. it also left a nice waxy like coating that water beads to. Now for the window glass. This was much harder to get the sap off. It also ran onto the plastic stripping around the glass. That has not fully come off, and only about 10% of it came off. Worked really well on my Arctic silver metallic paint that previously was WAXED and taken care of.

The longer you let the sap sit and cook in, the worse it will be. P.S. i used my finger nail and some bug remover for your windshield to lightly scrape pieces off until it sat flush, this made the job easier than with the bug tar remover alone. I was very surprised how well it worked, went around the car and cleaned up the front grill and the side mirrors from bug gunk.

Liked Turtlewax tar and bug remover

I have pine trees outside my house and when the trees get trimmed it leaves an enormous amount of sap all over the sidewalk that gets tracked on my Pergo floors. I've tried several different brands of tar and bug remover and this product worked the best. They also sell it as wipes instead of a spray that also works.

Product simply does not work

Followed instructions exactly, took car through car wash first, even did it at night so surface would be 100% cool as per instructions.

Had absolutely no effect whatsoever on pine tree sap. There were even some areas that had VERY light amounts of pine tree sap, and it didn't even work on them.

I've used a lot of detailing products over the years, but this one takes the cake in the "utter failure" department.
I waited until evening, and had parked the car in an area that let it sit in the shade for an hour or so. I then washed the car, taking care to double wash the front end twice, and getting rid of as much of the bug left-overs as I could before applying the product.
The car was "cool to the touch".
I liberally applied Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover on a good portion of the front bumper. This covered 3 different surface types. 1) the front of the hood, which is metal. 2) the front bumper which is the typical plastic/rubber material that are used for bumpers (the vehicle is a 2008 Jeep) 3) the faux chrome grille on the front of the vehicle (also plastic).
Per the instructions, I waited at least 60 seconds.
Per the instructions, I then used a micro fiber towel to wipe/buff out the areas I had applied the product.

It removed *nothing*. Right down to the gnat splats, they were all still there, only now they show up much better as the bumper is nice and clean having been washed.

This product would not be worth using, even if it was free. You just waste a bunch of time and get zero results. I've used other Turtle Wax products, such as their wax, and had good results, but this one product is a flat out rip off.
