No more water spots or streaks and will not scratch paint. Also great on household surfaces like tile, shower doors, mirrors, counters and windows.

Customer Review :

Low quality blade

I used it once and now its a shower stall cleaner. The "gel" blade was not that flexable and dragged a lot harder across the car than my original California water blade. It looks cheap and feels cheap. I bought a new water blade and am happy again.

Household use auto squegee

Pilot Automotive CC-2010 11" Soft N Dry Water Blade

I am for anything that works well, and is fast and easy. These Pilot Automotive Soft and Dry blades have many other uses than for removing water from autos just washed. We use them around the house for removing water from glass shower doors and the patio windows that require all too frequent cleaning. But the best household use is the quick removal of water from just washed kitchen countertops. The ease of use is enhanced for countertop water removal when sinks are installed as integrated units. The blades are small enough to store away easily and large enough to get these jobs done quickly.

Poor Performance and Noisy with Limited Customer Support

No matter how wet the car, how much pressure, or what angle, this is a poor performer. It squeals and skips on the surface, leaving the car wet. Customer Support would not do anything other than suggest sending it back to Amazon.

Excellent alternative to chamois!

I use this product to dry boats, I have a boat detail business. It works beautifully! it's flexible so it conforms to irregular surfaces like the hull and above the rub rail. Keep it clean though, wipe periodically to prevent dragging fine debris across the surface. I'm not sure why the other reviewer was so hard on this product. I use it extensively and I've had no problems what so ever.

California Car Duster engineered and designed a new and improved version of The Original California Jelly Blade and added many key features and benefits. The Extender end allows the Jelly Blade to reach into tight area, and the Detailer end is great for recessed surfaces like side-view mirrors. It's clearly the world's most efficient car drying tool and is proudly made in the USA.

works good

this v-blade works pretty well, and the whole thing is very flexible, but I like my old t-blade type a little better for getting rid of the water.

All new 2010 Version comes only is RED and CLEAR...we pick the color on this listing! What sets the Jelly Blade apart from all others is the ultra-flexible handle. Now the handle bends with the blade so that the Jelly Blade is able to hug more curves and whisk away more water. Sleek, curvaceous vehicles are no problem. The blade glides over curved and concave surfaces, taking 90% of water with it! The Jelly Blade is safe on any surface. The soft silicone from which the blade was crafted does not retain any abrasive particles that may be on your paint. Compare that to towels and chamois. The Jelly Blade will work best on a waxed or just-washed vehicle. You do not need to apply pressure when using the blade; just glide it over the wet surface and watch the water move! It may be necessary to wipe around mirrors and the grill with a microfiber towel to prevent drips.

streaky

I tried this product and it does not get all the water off. It streaks.

Good to have

The first water blade I bought was back in 2000 at a car show and I love them. After washing my car, water blade + "the absorber"= quick drying with minimal water marks. Anyone who owns a black vehicle can probably sympathize with me on how hard it is to keep a black car clean.

Rating :

not impressed

Well I got to say Amazon performed flawlessly, but the product itself sux I find that you really have to bare down way to hard to get it to squeegee water I'll never use it.

Boo

I bought this for my husband for x-mas. He used it once and never has again. It did not wipe the water away well enough to warrent using it instead of a towel/shammy (sp?) There were lots of water spots left on the truck. He had to go behind and dry it off again - which defeats the whole purpose.

Rating :

A must for car collectors

My husband and I first saw this product at a car rally. After we watched some guy wash his car and all the water almost disappeared after using this water blade, it made drying the car even easier,we decided we had to have one. Anyone who values their paint job and fewer streaks when drying their car will love this product. It easily scoops the water off a car, leaving just a little residue to dry off with a towel.

Questions & Answers
Question : What causes water to pool in the bottom of a DISHWASHER???
I have a really good stainless steel dishwasher. Lately, water has been pooling in the bottom of the dishwasher. I reached down under the water blades and can't find any food or anything jammed in there. What is causing the water to not drain properly? How do I fix it? Thanks!!!

Answer:
It might be a clog in the pvc piping under the sink. Or the drain pipe could not be pitched right leaving pools of water to reamin in the diswasher. Call a plumber a drain clean for more information.

Question : which propeller is better for water skiing, 4 blade aluminum or 3 blade stainless?
I have an older Evinrude 140 hp outboard and I use it for water skiing. If the pitch and diameter are the same, which propeller would be better for the hole shot? A 4 blade aluminum or a 3 blade stainless steel?

Question : Kenmore dishwasher sounds like the motor is running but not spraying water at the dishes, Help?
Took apart the blade assembly and all seems in order. Also ran with the door open using a screw driver to trick the safety--the machine is getting water. The blade will not shoot water at the dishes but the motor makes noises like its running. Is this something the lay homeowner can fix?

Answer:
My daughter had this trouble with a home she just bought. Her dishwasher was an older variety. I, first looked at the water pressure. It was forty pounds pressure. Whomever hooked up the salt tank messed it up. I changed it and set the pressure at 65 pounds. It did help. It still wasn't good enough. The blades were filled with garbage from the low water pressure. I had to clean them out, I did the same thing you did with a screw driver. This helped. I then had to flush the lines, this all helped. I then had her start using a solid, granulated, or powdered detergent. This all is better now. The dishes come out a lot cleaner but still, they should be better. There's something missing. It could be something in the lines from the earlier days. I've called Sears but, unless they come out and a high bill there's not much else to do. There going to replace the washer so so they say to let it go for now. ? good luck

Question : Which explains the observation that water droplets collect on grass blades in the early morning?
a) the air near the ground is warmer than the groundb) the air is not saturatedc) the air near the ground cools to the dew pointd) the relative humidity decreasese) the relative humidity increases

Answer:
The answer is (c).Dew is water in the form of droplets that appear on thin,non-metallic, exposed objects in the morning or evening.Water droplets result due to the condensation (condensation takes place at dew point temperature)of moisture at a rate greater than that of which it can evaporate.

Question : Why do windmills have only 3 blades instead of 15 to 20 like the windmills farmers used to pump water?
Why do windmills have only 3 blades instead of 15 to 20 like the windmills farmers used to pump water?

Answer:
The simple answer is because they are not well-designed to capture low-speed winds and are too large in diameter to economically use more blades. Here is an interesting site for more on that:http://nov55.com/wdm.htmlMore blades are better for higher efficiency because more blades intercept more of the available wind and at a lower minimum wind speed. The down side is more blades have a lower maximum wind speed. When the wind blows faster than the maximum speed for which the windmill is designed, the blades must be "feathered" and pointed edge-on into the wind to keep the windmill from literally flying apart.Apparantly there has been little or no recent "practical" engineering study (using real windmills, not computer models) of number of blades versus diameter versus wind speed to determine what works "best" for small or personal wind farms.I am pretty sure such studies were performed for the giant 3-blade windmills you see in areas with a more or less steady wind and with a predictable range of wind velocities. No one would finance such contraptions without at least some sort of engineering feasibility study... I would hope!A more subtle reason might be how the wind power is converted to electricity. Large 3-bladed wind farms must feed into the 3-phase alternating current grid if they are to be economically effective. That probably influences their diameter and rotation speed. If I were building one (or several) of these puppies, I think I would take a clue from automobile alternators: generate variable frequency 3-phase alternating current and rectify it to direct current. Use the direct current to drive a pulse-width modulated (PWM) 3-phase inverter making constant frequency 60 Hz alternating current. You can feed that right into the power grid with proper synchronization. You might get yourself an automobile alternator and connect it to a 15 to 20 blade windmill, three or four feet in diameter, just to see how much power it will produce in a moderate wind of 5 to 15 MPH. Most modern alternators are good for at least a kilowatt, more if properly cooled.

Question : Why do they use steam rather than water to drive round the blades of a turbine in a power station?
I'm doing my science GCSE's in a few weeks, and I was just wondering in case the question came up.Thanks!

Answer:
If one used water at a power station where would the energy transfer come from unless the power station is a hydroelectric facility? The conversion from water to steam in order to turn a turbine is, in reality, a transfer of energy from the fuel's heat value (energy of the fuel) to the turbine's blading. So the burning of natural gas, wood, or coal, or the fissioning of nuclear fuel, releases the fuel's heat value and directs it to an evaporator, or steam generator, where the energy is transfered to water converting it to steam. The steam is directed to a turbine where it turns an electric generator. The steam leaving the turbine is condensed and fed back into the evaporator to repeat the cycle. The rankine/steam cycle is a convenient way to transfer this energy.

Question : Paddle has water inside but no holes for water to come out?
I took out my first kayak for a test drive and I had a blast but when I got home my paddle is half-full of water but I don't seem to find a hole for the water to come out. There are three holes on each blades and the water comes out when I shake it but its taking forever. I need an experts advice.

Answer:
What 'brand' of paddle do you have? Is it a 'take-apart model'. Can you adjust the 'feathering"?Call your dealer and inquire. Chances are that there is a leak at an assembly point. Water should not be allowed to enter the paddle. You need to plug the paddle blade holes or you won't be able to lift the paddle on your next outing. Consider opening the paddle holes a bit and filling the paddle blade with waterproof foam. You can also cover/seal the joints with duct tape. But first, find out where the watewr enters.
