Customer Review :
WOW
This stuff is amazing. We went through the first bottle so fast that we just ordered a case (6) of the larger size. Cuts through the rust stains from hard well water keeping fixtures looking like new. I've used it on clothes to remove stains that would not budge with bleach or other stain removers - likely these stains were of the same chemistry as rust. Removes the little rusty rings on carpet that are caused by metal floor glides on the feet. I try it on all sorts of stuff now - like Wd-40 only for different stains.

Editorial Review :
Mar-Hyde One-Step Rust Converter Primer Sealer chemically reacts to convert rust into a hard, black primer sealer. Apply One-Step on rusted surfaces and rust is permanently converted and ready for primer and topcoat. One-Step Rust Converter Primer Sealer is a water-based latex containing rust modifiers, which is designed for application directly over tightly bonded rust on iron or steel. Also proven effective on new degreased or mild steel where flash-rusting has occurred. Shortly after application, the rusted surface will change form white to purple to a stable black coating. A uniform black coating indicates the complete conversion of the rust; white streaks or remaining rust indicates that an additional coat is required.

Love this stuff
Been using One-Step for years. It kills rust dead in its tracks. Wire brush the loose rust and spray it on. It converts rust into black paint. I do recommend topcoating over it. Typically I would use One-Step, then primer over that, then top coat it. I've used it on cars(frame and body both) as well as tractors.

Mar-Hyde - rust convert truck frame
Well, my 2005 truck had a lot of surface rust on the frame, so I thought I would nip it in the bud. I read a lot online about what to use and decided to go with the mar-hyde rust converter.
I used about 2 full cans to rust convert the frame, drive shaft, axles and hitch of 1 mid-sized pickup. I will probably go back and touch up with another can. I tried to avoid spraying on plastic parts, but it doesn't say anywhere that it will hurt plastic or rubber parts. It does say not to spray on any surface that exceeds 200 degrees, so I definitely avoided the exhaust and engine. The body itself looked perfect so I did not use any on the body. It seemed to do a good job. By the day after I sprayed, the rust had all converted to a smoother darker finish.
On the down side, the fumes seem very noxious. I used it outside, on a slightly breezy warm day and the fumes were still strong, especially if you got in the "cloud." I would only use it outside and preferably with some sort of mask and away from children or pets.
I am planning on coating the underside of the truck with fluid film also, but I have not done this yet. I am not planning on painting the frame. Its been about 2 weeks since I performed the initial treatment and I have had no problems.
Well, there is my story about mar-hyde. I am not an expert, but there is my experience. hope it helps someone.

Editorial Review :
Noxudol 750 / A high penetrating thin liquid rust protecting oil. It is specially formulated for the inner treatment (cavities) of all motor vehicles. It dries to an exceptional thin layer outstanding to battle rust in hidden places.
Customer Review :
Works perfect
I own a Citroen 2cv - a Deux Chevaux - a car notorious for rusting. Recently I had to tear out the entire floor and replace it due to spreading rust, so when I put it back together I made sure to buy rust-proofing products in bulk to help delay having to ever do that much work again.
Noxudol is the best cavity wax that I have found out there. It is perfect for squeezing into those tiny spots where rust likes to start and spread and it holds rust at bay for a long, long time. If you are in the market for a rust-proofer that you can get into teeny tiny spots, this is the one.

Questions & Answers
Question : Finishing touch protection package.? Does anyone know is worth it?
Is anyone notice if the FINISHING TOUCH PROTeCTION PACKAGE is outline in the paperwork when you buy a car. Or is it included in the customer care service plan.?
Answer:
It is usually something they try to add on for you while you are doing the financial paperwork. Total rip off. If the salesman offers to give it to you for free if you buy the car, then you should just ask for a better deal on the car . . . good luck.

Question : what is the cheapest car available?
im 17 and would like a car before i finish highschool. the problem is that i dont have time to work on schooldays because of homework. is it possible to save up enough money for a car in a summer job. at this point i dont care if the car is a rusted steel block with a bunch of dents in it , i just want a car.
Answer:
It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota... First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car - for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net

Question : Is there a relatively easy/inexpensive way to repair a car's finish that's been scratched by a cat?
Or is having it professionally buffed the only way to take care of the damage? The cats aren't part of the question so please, no mean remarks.
Answer:
Go to an autozone or pepboys and buy a cheap rubbing compound and try that. If the scratch is to deep then it won't work, but rubbing compound is around $3-$5 so its worth a try, the only other thing would be to get your car detailed. But that's not cheap.

Question : I love cars and i want to do somthing in the car industry, not go down the coporate ladder road?
Im gonna finish UT with a degree in business soon, but i want to work with cars, i know how to work on them and pretty much anything about them. Any suggestions on jobs in the car industry, anything from simply the GM factory to complete customization i dont care i just want to work with cars!! Any ideas?
Answer:
Just an average blue collor worker here, but my advice to you will be the same that I gave my son. Keep the part you love most about cars as your passion, your dream. (something to be done when you want to enjoy yourself) Now look to another part of automotive repair or design that also intersts you but doesn't keep you up at night thinking about it... Thats the Job for you. Enjoyment and happieness for your workday... but save your joy and passion for your personal time so you never loose the love.

Question : What are the best ways to care for the finish on a black car?
What are the best ways to care for the finish on a black car?
Answer:
Same as any other finish, have it washed & waxed regularly.. scratches show up on black more than other paint colors. Small scratches can be buffed out but be careful where you go to have that done, a bad buffing job can easily ruin the clearcoat.

Question : The finish on my 2006 Scion tC is peeling at 41,000 miles. What are some solutions?
I bought this car used, but I've taken care of it. This finish is the worst of any car I've owned. It will chip at the slightest provocation. What should I do? Is repainting an option? Do I just have someone touch up the nicks and peels and then reseal with a clearcoat? Which is cheapest? More durable?
Answer:
Sounds like it was repainted at some point. The clearcoat is probably not sticking well. It will probably need to be repainted, at least the section of the car that is peeling.

Question : I have finished my nurse training and now work in a Private Health Care clinic, should i leave please advise?
i respect my parents wishes most of the time,my friends say i am spoilt because they would rather i just ran the Solarium they bought me but i want to do something with my life more worthwhile,i have a nice life on the whole, car ,scooter, care of my parents i must add,its as if they want to keep me a girl and around as long as possible,i am 23 ,my older sister lives off our parents but i want to provide for myself please advise xx
Answer:
Being a trained nurse in the private sector can lead to big money later on. You'll sure as hell never be out of work with a career like that.Or you can chuck your professional life away and turn the open/closed sign around twice a day, and ask people who want to be orange whether they would like to buy moisturiser...it's one thing to respect people's wishes, it's another to let them run your life.Do what you need to make yourself happy x

Question : How do you fix car's leather seats that are showing wear?
I have beige leather seats in my car and the driver's side seat has little white cracks in the finish. Does that mean the seat is about to give out---or that it's just the finish that is wearing out. Is there some kind of creme I can use to make it look good again? Also, any tips on leather car seat care would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! The seat is not ripped. Please, serious answers only. Honestly, seat covers? Isn't there some kind of cream?
Answer:
Thesecan be fixed. If you are ion the UK call LTT on 01423 881027 who supply products for this to consumers and detailers/valeters. It is just the finsih that is wearing and this needs replacing, thhis is usually caused by the wrong or no leather care being done on the seat.

Question : Can I afford to buy a car from Carmax after finishing Army Basic/AIT?
I'm 18 and I have absolutely no credit. I'm leaving for Basic/AIT/Airborne School June 2nd and I'll be back sometime in November. I got a $10,000 bonus(My recruiter said to expect $7,000 after taxes) and plus I get paid while in Basic/AIT. I want to buy a car from Carmax for around $14,000 or less. I don't want to take any loans or anything. Is there away that I can pay like half the car's price in cash and then pay off the rest in monthly installments? I also have to buy my own insurance policy(I know for a fact that you can do that at Carmax the same day that you decide to buy a car from them). My sister is really sick and I need to be able to go see her and take care of her on weekends, so I really need a car. Is there any way I can get a car in this situation? Thanks!
Answer:
You will have another resourse available called MILES. It is especially for E-2's and above with no credit history. The interest rate is at 18.45%, but they will take you without a co-buyer. I use to hate the MILES Program but now after working in finance and have seen how some of these finance companies treat young soldiers, I feel pretty good about it. They also put stipulations on the Dealer about the vehicle they sell you, which is for your protection. So when you get to your permanent party duty station, find a dealer that has the MILES Program. Or go to usmiles.com and check them out.
