I bought this product for my trucks but I have found that it is an excellent motorcycle cleaning tool also. It will reach into tight places that I just can't quite get my hand in to dust properly. Highly recommended for the bike guys...

California Duster

Must have for spot/rapid clean-up. Great for removing pollen and dust, not effective on water spots and caked on dirt. Quality of the duster has declined over the years--plastic instead of wood/mitt a bit thinner--but still works pretty good.

long-lasting and does exactly what it claims to do

I have owned mine for over 15 years and I wouldn't be without it.
Now it was time to get another one so I came to Amazon. (my last one came from Sharper Image).
Now there's so many choices, I was confused for a while. finally narrowed it down to two, and I'll see which one I want to keep after seeing/trying them.

But I sure attest to the convenience and how well they work. Not sure I'd agree that "the dirtier they, the better they work", but I definitely say that it doesn't degrade performance when they get dirty.
But eventually you have to wash it (the instructions tell you to) and THEN you CAN notice a bit of degraded performance. Still works very well, but ...... well, eventually it MUST be washed, and washing takes out the wax that's crucial for picking up dust. After a few washings, ya gotta get another one.

Buy one; you won't regret it. My car is garaged, but I can go many months without washing my car and it still sparkles like freshly washed, using this duster every time I bring the car back to the garage.

Work Horse for the Lazy!

Have a black vehicle, the dust shows even sitting in the garage. Love a clean car, black is great as long as you keep it up. This is my third California Duster, the others lasted years. Just going over the car gets rid of the dust and leaves it looking like it came out of the car wash. It is fast, easy and the results for the little time spent are terrific. I recommend this for those who are lazy and just want a quick way to get their vehicle looking great!

I had never heard about or saw this product on TV before my Uncle told me about it & I'm SO glad he did! I just bought a new black SUV & everyone knows how hard "black" is to keep clean, even keeping it in the garage. The directions say to place it on a newspaper for 48 hours before using to get the excess wax off first & word to the wise, you should follow this first before using. I couldn't wait to use mine & it was a nice sunny day out so I used it right away. I was amazed at how shiny & dust free this thing made my vehicle, I almost couldn't believe it, it worked that well! Being that I did not follow the directions & let it sit for 48 hours it did leave a few waxy "bits" but nothing that I couldn't wipe off easily. I read one review that said this scratched someones car, no way, don't believe that nonsence (he probably used it right away) & it left a few white wax spots. This will NOT scratch your car & quite frankly I can't see how anyone would be unhappy with it. The price is great & affordable too. I am ordering the mini duster for the inside of my vehicle.

UPDATE: When I bought this exact product it was only $16.99 & free shipping through Amazon. I advise you to do a search to get the cheapest price.

Impressive

It's small for using on the exterior of a car, but it works well on the interior. Leaves surfaces free of lint, hair, dust, etc. Won't remove fingerprints or anything mroe then dust, but it works on dust as advertised. Might need to have another tool to get into small spaces on the dash or console.

I use this duster on a very large Cadillac interior. It keeps all the dust off the dash, seats, doors, leather, wood, glass etc. Does a great job quickly. I use its big brother on the outside of the car and it keeps it looking spotless. In the spring its the pollen turning my dark blue car yellow on the inside and outside. 2 mins with the dusters and its all gone. Same for summer dust. I don't have to wash the car every time its a little dirty. And it stays looking like it was just washed.
BTW I bought one for the house too. Its great on the TV, window blinds etc.

Black Porsche weighs in

Two thumbs up. I can't garage my black Porsche and here in the Midwest the spring pollen is so thick that it leaves a yellows dust on the surface of your car. This happens ever single day. It's almost impossible to keep a car clean. I found people talking about and recommending the California brush on a Porsche forum. My experience - it keeps the car acceptably clean with VERY little effort. I say acceptable because the car doesn't magically look freshly wash and have a wax shine but it does look significantly better. I bought the big one for the exterior and it's size is what makes it so fast to wipe a car down. (Approx. 1 - 1.5 min.) This smaller one I plan to use for the interior.

Definately Works!

First I used the convt. top cleaner to clean the top. This worked well with the horsehair brush. This way it will not burr the fabric. After throughly drying the top I applied Ragg Topp to the top. I put the car in the garage and taped off where the overspray would go. This way, no product will be wasted by blowing away. One can coated my Corvette top 4+ coats. I'm very pleased to see it work because I was skeptical since some reviews are not too good. Rest assured, this stuff works. If I drop a teaspoon of water onto the top, the water will shatter like mecury! It will explode into micro beads. ck

2000 yellow convertible

I followed the directions, wash worked very well as did the Ragg Topp spray. Only problem was that I wished I had covered the glass with paper or cloth.
The water protection spray is a bear to remove from the glass.

The spray method is messy.

The product seems to work well. The cleaner worked well, but the sealant comes in a spray can. You have to cover windows and painted areas adjacent to the convertible top. Three light coatings as recommended used the entire can. It does seem to provide a good protective coating however.

I use the Super Duster at work. I sell Husqvarna mowers and zero turns and they tend to get dusty when on display outside. It is nice to have a product that I can dust them with that does a good job fast and it seems that the more I use it, the better it works. The only thing that I wish was different is the end of it. The end is just a knot that i can't poke into tight spaces and dust. I need a little one too. Overall, it's a 5 star nice product.

I had brought a similiar item at walmart several years ago. My boyfriend and his parents live on an extremely dusty road. I purchased these for them after they saw how well they worked. They are happy to have a "semi dust-free" car now!! Now they just need to MOVE off that dirt road and it would be perfect!!

I have not owned this long enough to rate it effectively - I just got it. I like the long handle on it so I can reach the center of the roof on my truck.

I believe this thing would work good on a motorhome or big rig.
