Questions & Answers
Question : east coast rust vs. west coast tacoma?
recently moved to the east coast and i am wondering how important it is to get undercoating put on before they start salting the roads or is my '06 tacoma going to stand up alright. I see some older cars that are in good shape with out undercoatings.
Answer:
If you keep your undercarriage clean you shouldn't have a problem. The undercoating will help prevent the rust. It all boils down to how well you keep your car.

Question : It seemed like a bad rust proof job. Is it? If so, what to do about it?
I had my car rust proof at the dealer. When I took the car home, and I looked underneath my car, i can see some black undercoatings. HOwever, there was hardly any at all, and only a little here and there in minor places. Is this suppose to be right? My sister just had her car rust proof at the exact dealer, and her car seemed to have had much much more undercoatings compared to mine. Now, what should I do about this?
Answer:
Take the car back to the dealer and explain your concerns with the service manager. He should be more than willing to help you with any questions you might have.
