good camera

I've been using this camera for a couple weeks or more now.
This system consist of three main parts. The LCD screen, The wireless transmitter, and the camera (with extra long cable built-in) Everything needed to set it up is included.

The camera's resolution seems good as well as the resolution of the lcd screen. The LCD screen is handy since it has a mono speaker built in to be used with another video source. The screen is a little hard to see in bright sun / heavy glare but not too bad.
The wire for the camera is a very good length and connects to the transmitter with a 3 pin connector (not RCA). The transmitter has a another 2 pin connector to attach to the power wire which has to be spliced into the reverse light.
The LCD screen has two inputs, the first being the wireless transmission, and the second being the video + audio input via an included wire. The LCD screen automatically detects the transmitter when the transmitter begins transmitting. The LCD screen can automatically switch to the transmitter's backup camera and will automatically go into a power saver mode when no signals are detected ( GREAT features! )


The biggest problem I've seen is that this wireless transmitter actually interferes with other devices that handle wireless. The first couple of days of using it, my wireless network "coincidentally" started failing, it turns out it was the transmitter from this camera system. I suspect any 2.4GHz wireless device (including bluetooth?) will be interfered with when the transmitter is activated. The wireless transmitter was about 30 feet away and behind many walls but it still caused interference.

The system is good, but imagine if everyone had wireless devices that randomly interfere with the 2.4 GHz, no wifi (and bluetooth?) would be reliable.


As a side note, I was able to convert the transmitter to include a RCA input so that I could use the LCD screen (with an attached 12v battery pack that I put together and is not included) wirelessly with any video source (no wireless audio though), However, the interference becomes a bigger issue since you may want to use it frequently.

Solves the problem of hooking to trailer- works like a charm. Not difficult to install on my 05 Tundra. Transmitter needs to be in trunk- I have a fiberglass cover on the bed, so this works fine, otherwise, wires would have to be cut and legenthened to install the transmitter in the cab.

The first monitor stopped working after one day, contacted company and without hesitation, sent a new one. It seems to be working fine.

Good item at a great price!

After a lot of research and reading customer reviews I chose this one. It arrived ahead of estimated time and would of been a snap to install but I have a Cadillac CTS with a full liner in the trunk lid and a double walled lid to drill the half inch through and as per the instructions I was careful to make sure I avoided wiring but not careful enough. After repairing the damaged wiring (my fault) the rest was simple. The unit is very complete and works great!

Very good camera for the price

I installed thr backup camera on a 2001 Ford Ranger super cab for hitching a bass boat trailer on. I put the transmitter inside of the bed, behind the tail light housing in a protected area, and tie wrapped it on the bed brace. The install was staight forward with no surprises.I mounted the monitor on the center of the floor and permanatley wired the harness to the fuse panel. Am very satisfied with the performance, especially the cost. Have purchased items from
Amazon previously and give them an A+ and UPS has delivered items before the scheduled arrival date. One bad factor, the monitor tries to light up on accasion.
Talked to Ken at tech support. The receiver frequency is very close to security devices. Ken states that by pulling into a bank, the monitor get a picture. Would I buy again, yes, has a very good picture. Just have to turn it off when not in use.

Accessories don't fit all makes

The license plate holder was great, however was unable to use the accessory screws and covers because of pre-drilled screw holes in my Miata

Fastner Covers for Chrome Plate Covers

Make sure the plastic washers are put on so the counter sink part is facing outward. Don't over tighten screws, to avoid smashing plastic. Make sure you hear a "SNAP" when placing the chrome cover over the plastic washer. Basically, make sure you read the instructions and the product will work fine!

Cheap n Flashy

I'd love these for a buck fifty, but for three ehhh. Maybe the annoyance will make some dude steal the plates of the next car? I teamed these with the 20030 frame and they look fine.

I think people complained about the black ones falling off and after installing them I think I see the problem. When you press them on they need to CLICK loudly. If they just press on a bit, it kinda stays but they're going to fall off. If you can't get them to click you need to reseat the screw gasket towards the middle of the license plate (loosen the screw, push the gasket towards the middle as you tighten). With the 20030 frame if the gasket is flush against the raised edge of the frame you can't get the cover to CLICK in place. Eventually all 4 clicked.

These are awesome screw covers and look fantastic with my chrome licence plate frame.
Gave it 4 stars because they are made of plastic...stainless steel would have been just splendid.
Can't say how long it will be until the chrome wears away.

Piece of junk

I read all the reviews and thought I would try it even though there were a lot of bad reviews.

Major complaints:
It is just like a cheap scraper in that it only shaves a small strip of frost off the window and not a massive sweep like it advertises.

Very hard to use. I am 6' tall and tried to use this on a 2007 Camry. So I was plenty tall enough and a Camry is not a big car. I was having to lean up against the car just to get everything. Not user friendly at all.

Minor complaints:
Not very sturdy. Mine didn't break on the first use like other reviewers but it did feel like it could snap at any time. There are a lot of pieces which means a lot of potential for breaking.

Overall:
I am returning this product. It does not perform as advertised. It is almost completely useless.

Not very durable...

I got one last year, and the blade had chips in it by the end of the year. It still works well but there are gaps that don't get scraped in one swipe. Also the handle isn't very long, so if you are shorter than me (6'2") you might not be able to scrape your whole windshield.

I received this as a gift. It works really well on my car as I can reach the window with no problems. It is hard to use on my truck though because of the angle of the grip. I can't put enough pressure on it to make it remove ice from my truck. It is great for removing the ice off of the wiper blades. I would suggest this for car owners but not for anything taller than your average family car.

This item is difficult and tricky to use. Also heavy to handle.
May be good if ice was thick but as a general snow removal/ice removal implement for the vehicle (every day use) not that good.

Good, but not great

Purchased this scraper in December 09. Got to finally use here in Virginia during the blizzard we had in February. It's ok for pushing snow off your car; it pushes great, but it's not long enough to push snow all the way off your windshield or roof. The scraper works as expected, pretty good. The long handle lets you get more leverage for that thick ice. The brush attachment is kind of a pain. It constantly falls off of my scraper when I am using it or the scraper side. Overall, it's a decent scraper if you get it cheap enough, but you could probably do better with a normal hand scraper and a brush.

Long Winter Drive

Well let me just say how much I love this product. I was all set to buy a solid overhead case for my move from Kansas to Georgia during the winter time but opted for this one becuase I didnt feel like spending a whole lot of money for something I would only use once or twice maybe. I took the chance and it worked out great. I will be honest. I drive over the speed limit on the highway when I go on long trips. From Fort Riley, Kansas to Fort Knox, Kentucky was a great trip. It snowed the entire way and winds were really bad. The cargo bag didnt rip, leak or loosen up at all the entire way there. Goes the same for when I drove from Fort Knox, Kentucky to Fort Benning, Georgia to finish up my move. Still no rips or anything else wrong with the cargo top. I went over a total of 1300 miles and not a single problem. I recommend this product to anyone who doesnt want to spend a whole lot of money on hard top cargo tops. Thanks amazon. Another great product that you provided.

Lives up to it's claims!!

We had to drive from Cleveland, Ohio to Tampa, Florida,(in January, no less) and I wanted something waterproof and not bulky. This roof top bag had great reviews at a very reasonable price, so I tried it. Actually, my husband was less than enthusiastic, but changed his mind after our trip! I wouldn't lie....it held on great and everything stayed dry...and it folds up when you don't use it! Definitely recommend.

Well sized and well made

I was worried I would not have sufficient storage driving from AZ to CA (400 miles), but this was actually larger than would fit between the roof rack of our 2005 Subaru Forester. I was able to use it without a problem, however, by just by folding the excess vinyl under the straps and pulling all the straps tight. It kept everything completely dry through a heavy rain storm. Works as advertised.

Waterproof thru Snowstorm

I bought this product because it was cheaper than other brands that were not labeled waterproof. I drove from Michigan to Virginia during a heavy winter storm. When I got home, the bag was completely caked in salt and ice but the contents remained dry.

Best snow brush/scraper I've found

Ergonomic handle design is very comfortable. I like the foam grip. Scraper seems indestructible and is very efficent and separating the ice from the glass. Bristles are thick, yet soft. Minimizing risk of scratching painted surfaces. I bought one of these for myself at a local store a couple of years ago. My wife broke her old cheapo brush and I looked all over to find another Mallory, which I could not. I ended up looking them up on line and found my best deal on Amazon. I'd like to see more local merchants stock these, as I paid more in shipping than I did for the brush.

Get's the job done

I bought these before the worst snow storms in DCs history. I am glad I did. They seem rugged and got the job done. They have only survived one winter so far, but they don't seem to have taken a beating.

Proper length. Convenient design.

A well made piece. This brush is not too stiff and the ice scrapper part is located on the opposite side of the handle (convenient if you only need to brush off the show or leaves). Rubberized handle allows for a good, solid grip. Lightweight.

Hi All,

Not much that can be said about a snow brush...but I will tell you that this is a great product. The northeast, while not being hammered with blizzards, has been getting hit with a lot of small nuisance type snow/ice storms. I got tired of our older brush...and one day while sitting in (snow day) I decided to hunt a new one down on Amazon. $3.58 with free shipping and not an ounce wasted in gasoline..... What more do I need to say?

I love the cushioned grip with cut outs to wrap your fingers around it perfectly. The ice scraper works great and so far had held up to 3 cars - for 3 scrapings.

Excellent product in my opinion and a great value to boot.
