Great filter - be prepared for the install challenge!

This is my third KN filter (my third vehicle), and has not disappointed. Beware, tho - the installation on an 08 Highlander is not as easy as "loosen the nut and remove the cover" that other vehicles have. Still, it was worth the effort.

I have an '07 Toyo Solora 4-banger and this product increased horsepower AND increased MPG by 5 points! Awesome, totally worth the money...quick delivery! Just be aware that cleaning this air filter means purchasing the cleaning kit since the filter is not easy to clean.

Easy Installation, Saves Gas

I purchased two of these, one for a 2003 Camry and the other for a 2008 Sienna. It is a very easy installation, just pop off the filter cover for the old one and slip these pre-oiled filters in. Great for a car's lifetime. Two words of caution though: 1) buy the cleaner and oil kit because you will need it to clean the filter after about 5000 - 7000 miles and 2) make sure you install the filter correctly. The filter has a curved corner that matches perfectly with the filter box. If you are not attentive, you might not align it correctly and close the box without a good seal. I'm sure the instructions might tell you this, I never took the time, but I guess I had enough time to install it twice. After about 1000 miles, it seems to increase the fuel efficiency, but don't expect dilythium crystal - like increases/savigns. If you plan on keeping the car a lot of miles, the savings will add up.

works as described, nice manual

I was satisfied with this item, although I initially plugged it in backwards; when I finally got it plugged in right, it worked as described. I wanted to get the extension cord for it also, but it seemed too expensive for what it was. Basically when you plug the unit into the plug in the engine compartment, you do one set of tests that work fine when you are standing there with the device. But then, when you are getting a passing grade on that test, there are two more levels of testing that may require you to tap on the gas or brakes from the drivers seat and if you are doing that, you can't look at the code reader at the same time to see when it is ready to move to the next step, unless you have two people doing it, or buy the extension cable so the device can be in the driver's seat with you. The manual is pretty well written and thorough, but then in my case I still needed my ford factory service manuals that I also bought online, to tell me specifically what the codes meant.

Good product

I find it hard to pull the codes off my truck with the whole blinking light deal. This reader is the answer to my prayers. My only problem no is I have to fix my ERG valve position indicator before I can figure out what else is wrong with the truck. There are three checks the reader goes thru, and you must do them in order, and resolve all of the problems before you go to the next check. But the product works great, and the manual makes it a breeze to work with. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Equus 3145 Ford Digital Code Reader Works

I had a problem with my 94 Ford Taurus 3.8l engine stalling after sitting for a few minutes. used the code reader to discover that one of my sensors was bad. After replacing the sensor I still had the problem. Although the reader The MAP was ok,I replace it also. The MAP was good and that did not solve my problem. The problem is that Ford recalled the fuel pump on the car in 1994. It was the cause of the problem. It causes the car to have an effect like a vapor lock. At lease the code reader save me from spending more money. I think it was a very good deal. It forced me to look for the problem some where else, Two thumbs up.....

Layman's toy and much more

I puchased this Ford code reader because my Pace Arrow motorhome (Ford 460 engine) failed to start after being in storage over the winter. Prior to purchase I checked the ususal things, spark,fuel and air. Not knowing anything about Fords EEC IV (electronic engine control)including where it was located in the vehical, I decided to do a little research on subject and the first thing I learned was without a code reader all the reseach in the world will not diagnost the problem.

Within minitues of Equius 3145 Ford Digital arrival, I had it plugged in and the system tested and the problem diagnost. I would higly recomended this code reader for all laymen and mechanics alike. It come complete with clear instructions and with batteries works right out of the box even for us layman

I have been using k&n stuff for over 20 years. The nut on these filters can be a real time saver on some of the import cars like our infiniti g20. as far as filtration thier not quite up to hasting filters

Great filter.

These are very good filters to use and priced right on here. Many tests show to avoid Fram but K&N are made well. The wrench off feature is ok but kind of gimmicky as most just use a standard filter wrench unless you have a close tolerance.

works for G35

This model of K&N works for VQ35DE/ REV UP/ HR and VQ37HR engines as well as 1995-03 Nissan S14 and S15 type SR20DET engines (as well as a quite a few other applications). I use these for my G35 and they filter well and are a breeze to take off. While they are 3-4$ more expensive than the nissan branded filters, the nut is the reason i buy them so they are extremely easy to remove. Also it's gotten good reviews on various oil filter comparison tests.

I'm glad amazon started selling auto parts. Cheaper than local, no ship/no tax. As for this particular filters performance, well, I haven't sampled the oil and screened it analytically for decomposition. If something bogus happens in the next year I'll definitely call K&N *and* update this review.

Great quality - but not that bright

These replaced Sylvania extra white bulbs on my Ford. These are not that much whiter or brighter than the Sylvanias, if any, and the Sylvanias are half the price. For my money, I don't think I'll replace with same after they die.

I bought this for my suzuki dr650 and I could see an immediate improvement when i installed this bulb. I even compared it to my friends stock bulb and mine was brighter. I don't think it was twice as bright but there was a considerable improvement. The white light it puts off was very nice and seems to make it easier to see obstacles at night. I would recommend this bulb for all riders and car owners.

Died After 1 Year, But Still Happy

I have had them installed on my Tacoma for the last year and overall have been pretty happy with them. At night they are very bright, brighter than most every other car on the road, but this also makes other drivers think I have my brights on so I get flashed by about one in 2 or 3 dozen people. Another thing to note is that during the evening these lights are much harder to distinguish on the ground than more yellow lights would be, but this may not affect most of you unless you are searching for small animals on the road during the evening like I am.

My driver side bulb just blew and I have had them in for about a year now. I have been very conservative about using them since I knew most halogens don't have long bulb life. This means I never had them on during the day and I kept the normal/brights switching to a bare minimum, yet I still only managed to get a year out of it. Of course, there's a possibility it was just a weak bulb so I'll append this review when the passenger side blows.

Despite what I consider to be a short life (maybe not compared to other halogens though), I will be purchasing another pair of these; partly because I have the intense white fog lights too and I want them to match, but also because I do love the pure white color of them at night and the fact that they are so much brighter than my stocks were.
