Customer Review :
Good but only when used as a resonator
i needed a cheap resonator to replace my custom straight pipe. Came across this flowtech glasspack and did the job. It drastically quieted down my exhaust system. I would only recommend this as a resonator because as a muffler it wouldn't sound that great especially when you can upgrade to a brand name system.

Great value
Couldn't pass these up for the price. The only thing is the description needs to have the I/O diameter listed. They sound great on my P71 crown victoria and are getting a bit deeper with time. Definitely look into these for a low budget muffler!

Nice
These things were inexpensive and sound just like I expected a glass pack to sound. I bought without knowing the inlet and outlet size and assumed they were 2 inch. That was correct but the listing ought to have the pipe size clearly stated in the description.

Fits great, Rusts easily
Like other VW 2.0L CC owners this fit - without the clamp hardware - I just pushed them on with a light tap. Unfortunately they are already discolored with rust spots. They do not do well in the salted roads in NE Pennsylvania. I'll try to see if I can clean them up in the spring.

'07 Passat Wagon
At first it did not look like it would fit. With a little bit of wiggle and pressure it fits right on and it is a perfect fit! Best upgrade investment I made in a long time. You won't go wrong with this purchase.

Worthy upgrade to stock exhaust pipe
For $5.50, this is a well worthy upgrade to your stock exhaust pipe. I manage to fit the 2 1/8" inlet exhaust pipe by disposing the upper clamp & do some slight bending of the lower clamp, fit very well for my 2001 Stratus.

Fits B6 Passat perfectly
After reading the reviews, I decided to give these a shot - they were absolutely perfect - look great and are good quality. Definitely better than spending the $80+ for the factory tips.

Black Exhaust Wrap - 2 X 50 Ft.
Customer Review :
dont think, it works!
i put the wrap on my kawa sport bike, not only is performance increased but lowers the base in the exhaust for a pro sound system. i have just finished a 2 hour ride with my friends, they thought i was crazy, i can touch the wrap without getting burnt. it is a cheap and easy upgrade, follow online instructions on how to apply it, i applied it while the pipes were still on the bike. work the wrap from the down pips up to the headers, the crease line faces the rear of the bike so that its stream lined and doesnt pick up dirt and rocks! they recomend steel zip ties (thats a joke) any stainless steel clamp works. use the high temp silicone the first time with a light coat, let that burn off, along with any water left in the wrap. then apply and heavy coat then your good to go for about a year! clean as any other part in, and keep bits that flake trimed. this is a great up grade, it helps prevent burns, increases performance, looks great, prevents corrosion what more can u ask for with such a cheap and effective upgrade. i've since ordered alot more. beleive it or not i put it on my ride on mower, car, and my bike!

Well made
No complaint about the quality of this product. It is just that I didn't like how it steamed when it got wet. I took it all off. But, if this is what you want, it looks cool.

Editorial Review :
The Edelbrock Performer Square Bore Air Valve Secondary Electric Choke New Carburetor features a two-piece, all-aluminum construction for cooler operating temperatures and less warping. It is designed and calibrated for good street performance and fuel economy in 402 CID and larger engines with the Edelbrock Performer manifolds. There are no gaskets below the fuel bowl level for fewer leaks and no plastic parts or power valves to blow out. The Performer electric choke carburetor includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance. The carburetors use easily changed metering rods for precise tuning. The Edelbrock Performer warranty covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation.
Customer Review :
Awsome Carb for a great price...
Sixties Lincoln owners out there need to know that this is the carb you need for your 430 or 462 Lincoln with a 4-barrel. It is a 600cfm carb tuned for street performance and economy that is essentially the same design as the original carb.
The Edelbrock design uses the Carter AFB design with some improvements made over the last 35 years. Edelbrock bought out Carter some time ago and got the tooling. It's a bolt-on with little or no mods to make to get your Lincoln running. On some Lincolns, you have to grind a little bit of the throttle brackets. My '66 required NO MODS whatsoever for this carb to work.
One note: the fuel inlet is on the passenger side instead of the driver's side, so you either need to bend a new fuel line or buy a the 90 degree fuel line kit to make it fit under the air cleaner. Since you can't see the carb or the fuel line under the air cleaner, it all looks stock anyway.
With free shipping, you can't beat Amazon's price, which ties two other places for the lowest price online. Don't pay $400 for a "Brand New Carter Carbureter" at a classic Lincoln parts seller. Buy this carb here and be satisfied with the easiest carb swap you can make.

Edelbrock 1406 Carburetor
I've been using Edelbrock Performer Series carburetors for almost 15 years now. They are reliable and easy to adjust or modify to meet a stock or modified engines needs for best fuel related performance. Kits are readily available to rejet your carburetor to meet 'special needs' or performance issues.
I like the fuel bowl design since 'leaks' are NONEXISTENT, unlike with some Holly and other models. The electric-choke operates smoothly and is easy to adjust for various climates or conditions. I definitely recommend the Edelbrock Performer Series carburetor that matches your engines requirements.

Questions & Answers
Question : What is the best exhaust system for a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T?
I mostly want performance out of the exhaust. But i would also like it to "growl" I want an exhaust system that is the least restrictive and adds the most horsepower/torque possible.
Answer:
At the most any cat back is only going to get to 5hp/10tq. That being said, the ones that give the most performance and sound the best are Corsa, Zoomers or SLP Loudmouth 1.

Question : Exhaust System?
My trunk is a single cab 4x4 2003 Chevy, im looking for a exhaust system that has a lot of power and muscle that saves fuel under $270 what do u think? where can i find some thing like that?
Answer:
Exhaust systems don't create horse power it only frees it.You don't want to go to drastic because if you lower the back preasure to much you will reduce the effectiveness of the catalitic converter and O2 sensors cuasing poor fuel economy. You can usually pick up a low budget exhaust system from Flowmaster........try http://www.jeggs.com or http://summitracing.com You can also try ordering a P.A.W. catalog from http://www.pawinc.com lots of good affordable parts.

Question : Do i have to buy whole exhaust system for my motorcycle or buying a muffler will work?
I have a 2006 kawasaki zzr600, I want to improve the sound quality of my bike's exhaust. so if I buy a muffler will it improve sound quality or I have to buy full exhaust system?
Answer:
Slip-on pipes are designed to enhance the sound and have small effect on performance. I have heard of people doing a slip on upgrade and needing to adjust air intake or carbs but it's rare.I would say go ahead and swap out the can and see how she runs. if you start backfiring and stuff like that, you'll need to make some adjustments up front.A full exhaust will require some adjustments to air intake and fuel delivery.

Question : What cat back exhaust system should I get?
I have an 03 Accord Coupe V6 and wanted a exhaust system. I'm looking for a nice low sound and not those really loud nasty sounding ones when you rev. I was thinking of getting the greddy Evo2 system but I don't know.
Answer:
okay thats simple if you want a nice low toned exhaust that doesn't sound like crap i would hit up www.tanabe-usa.com they make catback systems that sound sooo nice really deep sounding when you rev ur car and when your driving in the streets you hardly hear it so give them a try otherwise good luck and i hope you find the catback system you are looking for.

Question : What is the best exhaust system to buy for increased horsepower?
I have a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SE and I want it to be a mean little grocery getter haha. I want to do a few little things to it to increase it's horsepower like get a KNN filter for it and perhaps look into a high flow cataclytic converter. I read that exhaust systems can reduce back pressure also and create more horsepower. What is a durable, and affordable exhaust system that I could purchase that would increase the horsepower of my car?
Answer:
you wont have a "mean little grocery getter" without some work.. an air filter alone wont increase your HP by any noticeable amount.. a cold air intake would be better but again you'll only have a little better throttle response.. with regards to the exhaust, you do want some back pressure since you are naturally aspirated.. a hi flow cat will help but again you wont feel much difference especially since the ECU will most likely detune itself.. if they make headers for your application, that should get you more horsepower and you'll want to see what other bolt ons are available in the way of intake manifold, larger throttle body, injectors, spark plugs etc.. if there isnt a lot of aftermarket support for your engine, you will have a tough time building the car up NA... going forced induction is always an option but is not cheap... but i'm sure it can be done... i'd keep your car stock and in good running condition and just get yourself a project car like a 240sx or a turbo eclipse.. if you insist on keeping a bonneville, they came out with a supercharged version of your car in the mid to late 90s i believe it was the SSei trim or something like that

Question : How much is it to get an exhaust system installed?
I have a 2003 ford mustang 3.8L v6. I would like to get a better exhaust other than my stock one that came with it. I would like to know how much it is to get an exhaust system installed, and if anyone knows any good places to buy them from. Can someone please help me out.
Answer:
Since I don't know where you live you will be a lot better off finding a family owned independent shop for two reasons.1. The work will be done better.2. The price will be better as well. You might be looking between $195.00 to $295.00 dollars depending on what type of exhaust you are looking for.

Question : How to install new headers and exhaust system?
I have a 1986 GMC c1500 p/k with 350 v8 5.0 liter bf goodwrench engine. Is there a website or any books? Also should i get a catback performance dual exhaust system with resonator tips or a performance glass pack dual exhaust system? Which one is louder and gives more horsepower?
Answer:
first of all, you dont have a 350 5.0. its either a 5.0 (305) or a 5.7 (350). but other than that, you should be able to get relatively cheap headers for this truck, and i dont think they would be too hard to install, since you can nearly climb into the engine compartment and stand up in there. once you get the headers, either re-use the stock cats or buy a pair of new ones (careful, they get kinda pricey) if you need them, but save some money and find a good exhaust shop and get them to fabricate an exhaust system. most of the time, they cant touch the cats, though. they have to have all sorts of stamps and certificates and red tape crap to deal with anything on the emissions system, so you might have to do that part yourself. but theres no use in paying for an expensive cat-back system, then paying for someone to install it when you can just go to a regular shop and have them do the whole thing for less than what you would pay for parts. and i think the glasspacks sound better on those trucks, but really its just a matter of opinion.

Question : exhaust system?
how much is it to replace it?there is a car in great shape except it needs the exhaust system replaced.the car is $500 would it be worth to buy it and replace iti know nothing about cars so please please please let me know what you thinkreally appreciate it!
Answer:
Most exhaust systems come in sections, the beauty of this is that only the section that is faulty needs to be replaced (saving you $). You say the "system" as if you where referring to the whole thing, but it would be unfortunate but not unheard of if the whole system needed to be replaced. At $500 the car is not a new model and this is good news as there will be lots of after market replacements that will be cheap. The main cost of replacing the exhaust though is not the part itself but the labour cost that the garage will charge. You have to ask yourself how long you want to keep the car as well, if you spend $150 (this is a very rough estimate as i don't know the details) on fixing the exhaust but plan to keep the car for some time as you say it's in good shape it would be worth the expense. Do some shopping around in your local area and price up an exhaust, you will be amazed at the price difference also if you are really strapped for cash you could buy a maintenance manual and have a look at doing it yourself you get can someone to give you a hand. I know you said you don't know much about cars but if you can change a Tyre you can change the exhaust it's e few rubber mounts and a couple of rusty bolts.
