Works Great!
My neighbor is a mechanic, and looked this part up for me after the fan in my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD stopped working. I called the dealer to get a price on this item and it was $132.00 just for the part. That's not including the diagnosis fee or labor of $100.00 per hour. The part literally took 5 minutes to replace and fit and worked perfectly. Apparently, this is a common problem in the Chevy and happens often.

Questions & Answers
Question : How are moving pulleys different from fixed-position pulleys?
Moving pulleys are attached to the object and are stationary. Fixed-position pulleys are connected to a fixed point and move freely. Moving pulleys are attached to the object and move with the object. Fixed-position pulleys are connected to a fixed point and do not move. Moving pulleys have more force than fixed-position pulleys. Moving pulleys are easier to use than fixed-position pulleys.
Answer:
Ah this just confused me. Probably because i'm lazy todaySo, i'll guess what you mean :) Is it that one type of pulley has the rope slide across it and doesn't spin; and the other type spins with the rope?I'd say that the one that doesn't move with the rope, would be harder to use, because there would be friction between the rope and the pulley and that would counteract any force you put on it.Hope that helped. If I confused you because i don't know what i'm talking about, then just ignore it :)

Question : The blade on my Bulldog 10" bandsaw keeps coming off the pulleys. Do you know how to adjust?
I have a Bulldog brand 10" bandsaw. I recently replaced the blade (old one broke). The new blade ran okay for awhile, but now comes off of the pulleys/wheels after just a few seconds of operation. I don't have a manual, and can't find one online. If you know how to adjust the blade tracking, or whatever it takes to fix this, I'd greatly appreciate it. If you don't know this specific bandsaw, do you know a book or website that you can recommend for generic bandsaw information that might guide me in the right direction so I can fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!
Answer:
if you just replaced the blade and everything was working fine before,, then all you need to do is tighten the tensioner knob. since you don't have a book,, find the place were a lot of blade is free,, tighten the knob until you have about 1/4 play,, look on and behind the saw and see if you don't have a dial indicator!! this tells you the different settings for different baldes!!! try wood magazine.com and look in the section for cleaning and maintaining tools,, also Delta tools has a good section and a great CD that shows how to maintain all their tools.. If you like I could try and copy it and send it to you,,email me,, cen41962@centurytel.net

Question : What was that Win95 game that had gears and pulleys that one had to move around to win?
I had a game on windows 95 that had gears and pulleys that you had to alter in order to accomplish your task. The game was quite fun and I was hoping to find it again but I can not remember the name of it. I am all out of googling terms to find it.

Question : What are different example of inclined planes? and pulleys that I can find in my house?
I already have for inclined planes: Stairs, screw, ladder, and a driveway. For pulleys I have blinds, fishing rod, shoe lace, and the chimes on a grandfather clock,,,,,,,please help!
Answer:
Those are some pretty good examples, but I'm not sure a ladder counts as an inclined plane. You probably have some pulleys that help lift your garage door, and there are pulleys inside various machines like vacuum cleaners, clothes washers and dryers, lawn mowers, and there are several of them under the hood of your car. You don't want to take your CD player or VCR apart, but there are some small ones in there. If somebody is a bow hunter, they have a compound bow which has pulleys on it. If you have an old house with wooden windows, there may be pulleys and counterweights built into the window frames. An axe or wood splitter is a wedge, which is made of inclined planes. So are knife blades, or any cutting edge, for that matter. Likewise, a pry bar or the claw of a claw hammer is wedge shaped to help lift nails. You might have wheel ramps or chocks in your garage, which are inclined planes. So is a door stop. Your sidewalk or patio may look level, but they are certainly sloped in one direction to allow water to runoff, making an inclined plane. Your roof is more obviously sloped for the same purpose.Pretty handy gimmicks, aren't they?

Question : What is the probability that the set of 4 pulleys that you just installed will last longer than the 500,000?
You are in charge of a process that requires the use of pulleys. The pulley works byrotating within a rubber belt. Each belt has a life expectancy of 500,000 rotations or morewith a probability of 0.95.
Answer:
0.95^4=0.81450625

Question : How does increasing the number of pulleys in a system affect the efficiency of the system? Why is this so?
Comparing pulley systems of single fixed, single moving, and multiple pulleys.
Answer:
In general, increasing the number of pulleys would increase the efficiency of the system. However, the simplest theory of operation for a pulley system assumes that the pulleys and lines are weightless, and that there is no energy loss due to friction. It is also assumed that the lines do not stretch. So as we increase the number of pulleys, there will be a critical number such that adding one more, you will decrease the efficiency due to the fact that the weight of the added pulley is greater than the amount of efficiency it can add to the system. Also the amount of friction is increasing as well, further decreasing the efficiency.

Question : What is the difference between ribs in supercharger pulleys?
I have 2003 Mustang GT with a vortech v-2 sq supercharger and am looking to upgrade pulleys and was wondering the difference between the ribs? Is 6, 8, or 10 rib better? And 7 rib pulleyBelt is not slipping. Just wanting to go under 3 inches
Answer:
The ribs tell you how wide the belt is, and the more ribs, the wider the belt, so the more traction you have to turn the blower. A 10 rib drive system is pretty radical, and only needed when you switch to smaller pulleys to increase the blower RPMs. Is your current belt slipping ??

Question : Will an alternator wire upgrade fix my voltage drop after installing a 200Amp alternator and upgraded pulleys?
I put a 200Amp Powermaster aftermarket alternator and a set of March Serpentine Pulleys into my '96 T-Bird and it caused a quarter of my voltage to drop. Powermaster recommends upgrading to a larger alternator wire to fix this problem. My battery's fine and alternator's new, but it seems that my pulley kit's causing this to occur. It even seems to be affecting my wiper fluid pump's output. Is this a serious problem? I'd like to get my ratio correct as well. Can I leave the pulleys on with the 200Amp alternator or would putting the stock pulleys back on be my best bet if the wire upgrade doesn't work or if it keeps me from achieving the proper torque ratio? As of now my battery has died and now I've gotta get it back in the shop. I'm planning to put the stock pulleys back on including the original alt. pulley, as that kit came with an alt. pulley too which is on the alt. right now. Will the 200 Amp alt. fry my electrical system with the stock pulleys?
Answer:
listen ok. you have a underdriven pulley system on car what happens is that it slows down alternator you need to replace them with stock ones to speed it back up smaller pulley = faster bigger = slower and the wire upgrade is a joke dont listen to them. an alternator generates dc current 13.8 volts amps is heat more amps =more heat unless you have a big stero in car or stero amps that would be the only reason for needing bigger wireand besides all applications run off battery anyway and alternator recharges battery . added no it will not as altornator has voltage regulator in it and the amps means it is capable of up to 200 amps not saying it puts out 200 amps all the time so you will be ok. but a 200 amp is a bit overkill. a police car with all their radio's lights siren's you know everything in a police car they have a 100 amp alternator in them.....

Question : What is the best method to clean radiator fluid off an engine/serpentine belt/pulleys?
Our 1994 E350 had radiator fluid leak onto the engine due to a loose cap. Checked all other points in the coolant system and there doesn't appear to be any other leak source. The serpentine belt slipped off as a result of the coolant getting onto it/the pulleys and we need to reinstall it, but want to clean the fluid up first so the problem doesn't reoccur. What is the best way to do this?
Answer:
Clean water from the garden hose.No need for any soap, degreaser, carb cleaner (dumb, that attacks rubber) or any thing else. Just plain old water! You are wanting to remove an antifreeze residue right? what do you mix in the antifreeze? Antifreeze is water soluble, so water will flush it away. Now, you need also to check all your pulleys and tensioner. Coolant on the belts really should not cause it to throw off.

Question : Where can I buy little pulleys and gears for a dc motor?
Looking for a place where I can buy attachments for a dc motor. Pulleys, gears, brackets to hold the in place etc. This is a very small motor. Maybe a robotics website or something? What kind of store would sell these things? I would rather go to a store than buy online.
Answer:
Try this site:http://scientificsonline.com/category.asp_Q_c_E_421187http://scientificsonline.com/product.asp_ Q_pn_E_3039119For a Store try a Toy-Train or Toy-Auto store. Don't know. Generally these stores are local small business, not chain stores. Look at the yellow pages. If you have a Fry's store near you, they have some gears:http://shop3.frys.com/product/2045634?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
