Answer:
www.kellybluebook.com. use the web site to input the cars year, make, model, mileage and condition. do not take into account the aftermarket accessories. the web site will give you a good person to person private sale price of the vehicle and this should be your negotiating price. the aftermarket accessories, even though they may be nice, do not apply to car sales unless you are a dealership and this is a new car. if you are selling this car (im unsure by the way the question was phrased) then you can include the half cost of the accessories and add on, but expect the customer to balk at it and want to come down. if you are purchasing the vehicle, the same rules apply, if the seller wants to add these costs to the unit, offer half price and if he doesn't budge, walk. there are many fish in the sea.

Question : Would debris in brake reservoir be causing my weak braking power?
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado that has been giving me brake problems since the day I bought it(used). I replaced the whole system on the rears(calipers, rotors, pads) after finding that one of the calipers was sticking and caused heat damage. I have bled the system 3 times since then, and the brakes don't feel as strong as they should. Normal stops seem to require more pressure than I expect, and emergency stops don't activate the ABS. ABS is not bad, but the brakes aren't strong enough to lock the tires in order to activate the ABS. On my last brake bleed I sucked fluid out of the reservoir before adding the new stuff to prevent cross-contamination. In doing this, I found particles in the fluid and on the walls of the reservoir. I clean it as best I could, but there's still particles on the walls of the reservoir and I'm wondering if they could be causing my problems by clogging a filter or line of some sort(I'm not familiar with the inner workings of the master and booster). All lines bleed clean(no debris comes out) at the wheels, so the debris has to be catching somewhere. I'm wondering if it's preventing the master cylinder or booster from doing their job fully, but I don't know where to check or how to fix it. Also, the pedal makes a squishy sound if you lightly pump it, but I've been told it's like that in all Chevy trucks. I don't want to buy a new master cylinder, or a rebuild kit unless absolutely necessary(as the rear brake job cost a pretty penny already). I would like to take it apart and clean out whatever is clogged. Is this possible without having to replace O-rings and seals? If so, how would I go about doing it? The internet hasn't been very helpful in addressing my problem-there's rebuild instructions and replacement instructions but no tear down and clean instructions. So therefore I turn to YOU fellow Yahoo'ers! Any help would be greatly appreciated, and suggestions as to what else may be the culprit as well. Thanks!~Walter~cussos58,based on your answer, i don't want to pull apart the master just on a hunch. the booster was one of my two thoughts. i know there's nothing IN the lines, since all calipers bleed freely-no restriction. whether or not debris is trapped in the actual caliper preventing hydraulic pressure from acting on the pistons, i'm not sure. but not knowing much about the master and booster, the problem could very easily lie in the booster.can anyone provide me with *detailed* instructions for identifying/locating, diagnosing, and repairing the booster(and possible an explanation of how it works) and/or how to clean the individual calipers if the booster checks out. also, can the booster be inspected, cleaned, or replaced without having to take apart, or otherwise ruin the seals of the master? i plan to do all the work myself, and therefore would like to leave a shop out of it as much as possible. $$ is in short supply, but brakes ARE important! Thanks for the help!

Answer:
if you take the master cylinder apart it has to have all new seals and maybe even needs replacing due to rust but it sound as if your booster is not working proper i suggest you take it to a mechanic and get advice and a written estimate for repair and then decide if you can do it yourself but because brakes are so important for safety i would not recommend doing it yourself unless you have good mecjanical knowledge

Question : how much does it take to make a sick mustang like this!!!?

Answer:
External engine parts alone would probably cost 10.000.00two crhome-plated turbos, a custom inter-cooler, and a vintage two port per fuel injection system ( vintage means a long time ago, and in this case probably only one made )Plus you will need the engine rebuilt from the bare block out with forged pieces ... have you ever built an engine from a bare block? you have to know how to check tolerances, and clearances...

Question : How can I fix the brakes on my car.?
I cannot get the brakes to work on my daily driven car.1988 Toyota Camry no abs rear drumsSymptom: brake pedal goes to the floor, no pressure in front left wheel and rear right wheel. This all happened after I REBUILT my 2 front calipers and tried to bleed the system.- I changed the master cylinder (twice because the first I thought was a defective rebuild) I adjusted the push rod on the booster. I adjusted the brake pedal. Didn't workFWD cars are split systems, front right wheel works with rear left wheel, front left wheel works with rear right wheel. diagonally.- So, I changed my proportioning valve, and the little splitter block next to the master. didnt work- Then I thought maybe the caliper rebuild kits were poor quality so I bought 2 new calipers. didn't work- I replaced a wheel cylinder I found had a seized piston. didn't workI've tried bleeding the car starting with the furthest wheel from the master to the closest, I tried cross bleeding it (because its a split system). I've put almost 2 liters of brake fluid through the system in attempts to get it to work. Ive tried just about everything...nothing worksWhats the next step, what am I missing.Garage is not an option I've changed every piece that could have been faulty.thank you

Answer:
Are you getting a good brake effort from OSF and NSR brakes? Have you visually checked / watched the fluid come out from both outlets on the master cylinder? Definatly sounds like a master cylinder problem to me.Does fluid squirt nicely out of the nipples on the brakes that are not working or are you getting very little fluid through?

Question : My brakes do not build pressure! Why?
There is no leak in the system, I have blead every line and no air is coming out, i've inspected all lines front to back, no leaks, but the system does not build pressure, * Important Note * the Pedal does get pressure way down low, but does not sink! But pumping the pedal up does not build up pressure to a nice pedal height. This is a 69 Mustang that originally had four wheel drum brakes. I've put a disk brake conversion on the front, the kit supplied a brake booster, master cylinder, front calipers, pads and rotors, I used the existing proportioning valve, and thus all other parts. * Another Important Note * the car has sat now for 9 years, and the system was barely ever used.Could the Master Cylinder be the problem? Thoughts!!Master Cylinder was Bench Bled! And rear shoes were adjusted out, I feel I've thought of everything at this point, but want to rule out everything before springing on a new master. I had a thought! Can you run the lines off the master into a plugged block to test for pressure build? Basically blocking each line out to see if it builds pressure?

Answer:
look on the top of your brake pedal for adjustment, you can change the length of pedal travel by adjusting into another hole if it's like a chevy.

Answer:
Kelly blue book lists this car in good condition at $2,190.00 for the base model S package and $2,390.00 for the Si 4ws package. these are private party values for person to person sales when a dealership or loan office is not involved. accessories are not usually included in the price and should not be considered when bargaining the value of the vehicle. from your list of additions, it looks like the only things that are not factory are the "New paint, Body Kit, Performance tires, Custom wheels, Aftermarket Header, Intake and Exhaust. HID Headlights (6000k) Alarm with keyless entry, Upgraded sound system and window tint.the maintenance is definitely not apart of the asking price, as these costs are exactly what they say they are "maintenance".the question you need to ask yourself is this... does the extra $1500.00 to $1700.00 seem worth it to you to get a 200,000k mile car that is 18 years old with some good accessories, that may or may not last much longer on the engine that its got under the hood?
