Hi all.The gear cable to my rear derailleur frayed recently, so I bought a replacement cable and fitted it.Now, however, whenever I try to change gear (I have Shimano Sora Triples) the derailleur moves the chain up the cassette, but after half a second it jumps back down again.I can only click up 2 or 3 gears before the changers (don't know their real name - that part I click to change gear) become unresponsive; they no longer give any resistance or have any affect on the derailleur. They should allow me 8 clicks, usually. I can then click down the same number, but the same thing happens: the chain moves back again quickly.Where is the problem? Answer: i think there are only 2 things to check based on your explanation.check if you have tighten the bolt that grabs onto your cable on the derailleur, if it is tighten, pull on the exposed cable (not in housing) somewhere along your frame tubes and see if you derailleur moves and if the cable slips.then, check if you cable head on the shifter is still intact. this is most unlikely as the shifter most probably wont shift at all or will have no resistance when shifting as the shifter won't be able to pull the cables.if this 2 is fine then it is most probably your shifter that is the cause of this problem and needs replacing.   Question : what retail store sale replacement parts for x360 I need the / x1 xbox live talkback cable "Puck"? x1 xbox live talkback cable "Puck"I need the name and location where I can purchase this at.
