Questions & Answers
Question : The 'R' Button on my DS Lite isn't working?
I'm trying to play The Legend Of Zelda: A Link to The Past...and you're supposed to use the R button to lift pots and 'Dash'... but my R button isn't working! I try pressing it and nothing happens. And on the DS Lite when you turn it on you're supposed to 'press any button to continue to the main menu' but when I press the R button there it doesn't work either! What's wrong with it?
Answer:
I had the same problem, but I was able to fix it easily. Try gently lifting up the 'R' button with a butterknife or something. Only lift it up a little bit, though. Then hold the DS upside down, and try to gently blow inside. If not, then something may have come out of place, and you will need it repaired by GameStop or Nintendo.

Question : any recipes for chicken, pasta and peas?
i wanted to make something for my husband tonight and surprise him...the only ingredients i have are the ones above plus the usual spices one has in their cabinet, i also have mrs. dash lemon herb marinade if that helps and a crock pot. any of you have ideas or recipes for me...keeping in mind im not too smart on cooking lingo so if you could dumb the wording down for me that would be great! haha
Answer:
Dice up boneless/skinless chicken breast in a skillet with some olive oil and some garlic, when the pink is gone add in your prepared al dente pasta and some fresh or drained peas, mix well, add in a can of Cream of Chicken soup, mix and heat through.

Question : What spices do I add if I use Mrs. Dash on a chicken?
I'm revising a recipe to make a whole chicken in a smart pot crock pot. i really want to use lemon pepper mrs dash on the skin and i was planning to put some garlic and rosemary sprigs inside the chicken but i'm wondering if i should put more spices UNDER the skin to flavor the chicken. are mrs. dash, garlic and rosemary even a good combination? will the rosemary go well with the lemon pepper?
Answer:
I think lemon pepper and rosemary is a good combination, yes. I think you might want to add salt too. A lot of Mrs.Dash's spices don't have salt in them.

Question : Can you extract THC from brewing espresso with pot?
Basically take the portafilter, add a dash of pot, grind the coffee over it, and brew as normal. My theory is if it is on the bottom the espresso will have enough fats to extract the THC.
Answer:
Umm... you need oil of some sort, it won't bond to water, you'll just waste it would be my guessJust make some milk(soymilk is the best) and add that instead of cream or half an half it will work much better

Question : Integration by Parts: Finding the average value?
Can anyone explain how to do this problem to me?1. The average value of a retarding force, symbolized by the dash pot in the figure, slows the motion of the weighted spring so that mass's position at time t is y = 2e^(-t) cost , t ≥ 0Find the average value of y over the interval 0 ≤ x ≤ 2πThanks so much!
Answer:
The value of the integral is:e^-t [sint - cost]Evaluating it from 2pi to 0 means...Putting in the values from 2pi to 0 yields:(e^-2pi)(-1) - [1(-1)]= 1 - e^-2pithe average value of the function is this integral over 2pi-0 for a final answer of:(1 - e^-2pi)/2piHope this helps!

Question : What is your Best/Easiest Corn Chowder Recipe???
My friend just gave me one: cube and boil 5 or 6 potatos, drain 2 cans of whole kernal corn, put in pot, in 1 can fill with whole milk, and in the other fill with half/half mix both in with corn, drain and add potatoes, salt and pepper and maybe a bit of original mrs. dash, and mince an onion, simmer and serve.. anyone have anything else? relatively plain, not adding a bunch of stuff to it?
Answer:
Corn Chowder Ingredients: 1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn1 (14.75 ounce) can cream-style corn1/2 pound bacon4 cups chicken broth2 stalks celery, diced2 small onions, chopped2 tablespoons margarine6 small potatoes, cubed2 carrots, diced2 tablespoons all-purpose flour2 cups milkSalt to tasteGround black pepper to tasteDirections: Place bacon in a medium-sized pan and fry until almost completely cooked through. Add the celery and onions to the pan and then saute until everything is lightly browned.Next transfer this mixture to a larger cooking pot. Pour in both types of corn (cream-style corn and kernel corn). Then add the chicken broth and butter, along with the potatoes and carrots. Stirring occasionally, cook for approximately 15 minutes. In a separate bowl, stir the flour and a little water together to form a paste. Add this flour paste and the milk to the cooking pot. Vary the amount of flour paste according to how thick you like your chowder. Simmer for 30 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste as the chowder cooks. ENJOY!!!

Question : Where to find potentiometers?
I am trying to take a small LCD screen that has 3 thumbwheel potentiometers on the side of its case...and mount the LCD screen (absent the case) where these thumbwheels can't be reached. I want to buy some same-value panel mount pots and knobs so I can solder them into the circuit but mount them away from the screen, in an accessible manner. I have the screen on order and don't yet know the values of the Brightness, Contrast and Color pots. Anyone have a good source for these? I don't think there is any way to mount the thumbwheels to make them accessible, but I'm open to suggestions.... Thanks. For the curious, this application is in a motorhome and the LCD screen is mounted behind the dash. The exact 5.6" replacement for my defective screen costs $800 and only has a brightness control (panel mounted shaft)...but I can buy the same quality screen for $41 in a case with the 3 controls, but they are awkward to use. I'm thinking this solution will be a lot less $$.
Answer:
Mouser Electronics stocks about 19,000 different pots.

Question : What can you do to dilute seasoning when cooking???
I'm cooking dinner in the crock pot, and the recipe called for 1 teaspoon of thyme....i thought i'd add an extra dash, which accidently turning into an extra teaspoon. Is there anything i can do (besides doubling the recipe!) to dilute the flavour? Or is thyme not too potent so i don't have to worry? - Thanks in advaced, i'm a rookie in the kitchen
Answer:
An extra teaspoon of thyme shouldn't hurt anything. Your dish (chicken??) might be a little thyme-y but you haven't ruined it. Adding anything else to the crockpot doesn't seem like a good idea as you will most likely dilute all the flavors. A little extra herb can be a good thing! You might like it!

Question : Occupied Japan Manufacturers?
I have a tea set marked on the bottom with Made in Occupied Japan. Above this writing there is a Japanise symbol that looks like a lower case cursive r, then 2 dashes under that, and finally a symbol that looks like a house. The design on the tea pot and sugar bowl is of several men and the handles are made of dragons. The cups and sausers also have the design of the men. I do not know who the manufacturer is or if it is worth much.
Answer:
Look in your local phone book and find an antique appraiser. You should be able to get a value and name through them.

Question : Differential Equations- Free Mechanical Vibrations?
A mass m=4 is attached to both a spring with spring constant k=401 and a dash-pot with damping constant C=4.The ball is started in motion with initial position x0=5 and initial velocity V0=8Determine the position function x(t).Note that, in this problem, the motion of the spring is underdamped, therefore the solution can be written in the form x(t)=C1*e(-pt)cos(omega1t-alpha1) .Determine, C1=Omega1=alpha1=P=Now disconnect the dashpot so that C=0.find u(t)=C(int)*cos(omega(int)t-alpha(int)) with the same initial position and velocity.Determine, C(int)=Omega(int)=alpha(it)=Thank you for any help you can give
