It's a U clamp - what else can I say?

I bought this along with the Walker muffler and strap (to hold muffler in place) for our 1993 Saturn SL. It was "recommended" by Amazon with the other items. It's a perfectly good clamp and fit - what else can I say? If you're going to replace a muffler (or pipe) you need to replace the clamps. Unless you put them on a week ago they will be rusted and likely need to be cut off. Save yourself a trip to the local auto parts store and make sure you get the clamps along with the rest of your parts.

Right strap for associated muffler

I agree with the previous reviewer that this strap is not as beefy as the original Saturn one on our 1993 SL. However, it fits the muffler perfectly and costs about 1/3 what the strap used to cost from Saturn ten years ago. Since Saturn is no more, I'm thrilled that Walker has this replacement strap. It was actually part of the original bracket from the Saturn strap that rusted through after 17 years and punctured the muffler, so nothing lasts forever. When I bought replacement straps from Saturn in the past (because they tended to rust through every 5-7 years) they cost $25 and didn't include the entire bracket. I recommend buying the Walker muffler (see my review) because that was also a perfect fit. Yes, it's not stainless, and no it won't last forever her in New England, but the price for the strap, muffler, and clamp combined was under $50 (with free delivery) which is fantastic.

Perfect fit

This exhaust hanger was an exact fit for my '92 Saturn oval shaped muffler. It seems to be an aluminized steel finish, but I would prefer a more rust proof material like stainless, because this part rusts out much faster than the muffler it holds. Nut, bolt, and lock washer is included. My neighborhood auto parts chains sell mufflers, but not the exhaust hangers required to mount them. I don't understand that. I'm glad that Amazon has this important part in stock. I just don't understand why Amazon has a picture of a muffler instead of this exhaust hanger bracket. They really don't resemble each other!
