Editorial Review :
Denso Iridium Spark Plugs are designed to ignite the air-fuel mixture in the engine cylinder by generating sparks between the center electrode and earth electrode. They employ an iridium alloy for the center electrodes and provide superb ignition performance. These plugs have lower fuel consumption and higher acceleration performance as well as stable combustion during idling, which contribute to the cleaner exhaust.
Customer Review :
smooth running engine with this Iridium spark plug
This fits in 1999-2003 Toyota Sienna. Trick to replace the three spark plugs in the back is to remove the windsheld wipers and the plastic piece for intake air and rain water collector -- a big piece from left to right.
After the spark plugs replaced, the engine runs smooth, starts faster. Since Iridium is very expensive, the tip is little -- 0.4mm in size, so that it can spark easily. Denso's web site says it has life 60,000 miles. Denso also developed one for Toyota and Lexus that has 0.7mm tip, that one can last 120,000 miles. 0.4mm has more precise ignition time, so that better fuel econemy.
Until recently, platinum was considered the best material to use on the top of an electrode because of its durability. However, Iridium is 6 times harder, 8 times stronger, and has a melting point 1200 degrees higher than platinum. Put that into a harsh environment such as an engine piston chamber, and you have a spark plug that can resist wear much better than platinum.

Fit my car
Was shipped promptly and arrived quickly. It was well packaged than a previous set of spark plugs I bought from Amazon. Amazon must be reviewing these reviews because I complained about the packaging the last time. Anyway, it is good to have a responsive seller who cares about what customers say. I haven't observed an improvement in my gas mileage but I haven't been paying attention to it.

Excellent
Picked up a set of these to replace the stock NKGs on my 2005 Honda Accord 4 cylinder after 97k miles. The originals were still good -- just doing a spring-time overhaul.
Engine felt smoother although that could be psychological. What is real, however, is a solid and consistent 2 MPG increase in fuel economy from what I was averaging over the last 60k miles.
I'll try to update this review after 30k miles or so.

Faster Starts
I just installed a set of these in my 2001 GL1800. I previously had NGK standard plugs with under 1,000 miles on them and AC Rapidfire plugs with 24,000 miles on them.
The AC Rapidfire plugs were my previous favorite, but it seems they are not the same plug anymore, having lost the serrated center electrode. The Rapidfires I had previously installed were the non-serrated type. They still provided faster starts than new NGK plugs, but not the improvement I had witnessed in other engines with the serrated Rapidfires.
The IK20s, which, in spite of the title and picture, are Iridium Power plugs, provided about a 1/2 second start time, where new NGKs gave a slightly longer than one second start, and the Rapidfires gave a slightly less than one second start. The engine is running smoother than with the 24,000 mile Rapidfires, but that is no suprise. I can't tell if it is running smoother than with new Rapidfires, as the difference is negligable. That is the extent of my review so far, as I have not yet collected enough data to see if I get a fuel economy change, and the power difference is too negligable for me to tell.
The Iridium Power spark plug is good for 30,000 miles as per the Denso FAQ. If a 5% fuel economy gain is achieved, then the plugs will pay for themselves a couple of times in that time.
There is also a Denso Iridium Tough plug available, the VK20, which is supposed to give less of the benefits of the Iridium power, but last 60,000 miles while still giving improvements over conventional plugs.

Working Great!
Bought these as part of a full tune up to my wife's '03 Honda Accord EX 2.4L. Engine is running smooth and strong...these did the trick. Hopefully, we'll see some mpg pickup like the previous reviewer as well! Only had them in for a week.

Bosch Platinum IR Fusion spark plug has an iridium and platinum fused center electrode with surface air-gap firing delivering optimum horsepower, better than OE iridium plugs.

Good Plug - However, No Noticeable Fuel Mileage Increase
I have two Toyota Camrys. A 2004 SE and 2006 LE. Both have the same 4 cylinder engine. I have always been religious about checking the gas mileage on my cars at every fill up because this relays to me if anything has gone awry. The '04 had 115,000 miles and the '06 had 45,000 when I replaced the plugs. I replaced them mainly to see if it would help the fuel mileage; unfortunately for me, no difference. I'm sure they are good plugs as Bosch is well known for their high quality, however next time I will probably replace using the factory spark plugs.

Perfect Plugs in my Impreza
These have been running strong now for 30,000 miles. They start the car 1-crank faster and have not given me any trouble. Fuel economy is what it should be as well.
I will purchase these again when they are worn. Finally, a good spark plug from Bosch!

Fits my 99 Ford Taurus fine
In conjunction with new Motorcraft plug wires i picked up a few horses and i think a tad better mileage so far. Have driven over 500 miles on them no engine codes or problems so they run fine. Went into my 99 Taurus with a Vulcan engine

Not bad ...BUT...
Well I finally changed my old plugs with these ones, got more power engine, better gas mileage BUT i notice my car starts vibrating as soon as I hit 60 mph. dont understand why but that is my only issue.

These plugs seem to work well. I don't know if there is an hp or mpg gain but my engine is running quieter. The Bosch website make these seem like the best plugs ever. I hope so.

Editorial Review :
A tough 8.5mm synthetic/silicone jacket over an extra-heavy glass braid and dielectric insulator keeps the current guided to the plugs. The MSD super conductor wire set has dual crimped stainless steel terminals. A helically wound core has only 40-50 ohms of resistance per foot. MSD Ignition warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use, if properly installed, for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
Customer Review :
Great performance upgrade!
These MSD wires give my LS1 performance. After 60k these wires with new spark plugs make the motor run like new. Strong.

Best for BMW 4.4L V8
This is original equipment for the BMW 540i.
After 80k miles, I did a quick tune-up. I temporarily put Autolite Platinums in my car and the computer MPG average showed a drop of 5 MPGs on a tank. I put a new set of these NGK's back in and the MPGs went back up.

Laser is the way to go...
I replaced my OEM NGK (BMW) spark plugs for my e46 and this is exactly the same as the ones you would get from a dealership...the only thing missing would be the BMW mark. Great deal and super craftsmanship.

Great Deal
Paid $60 for plugs that would have been $175 at BMW dealer. Also, dealer (BMW of Murray, UT) couldn't diagnose engine-miss problem. With new plugs Z3 runs like new.

Excellent Spark Plug
You probably never considered buying Spark Plugs from Amazon. But I bought these to replace my OEM plugs on my 98 BMW. They are the same exact plugs sans the BMW logo stamped on the side. The shipping is perfect and the price is the most inexpensive I found ANYWHERE! Great job Amazon!

Great Plugs - Cheap Price
Just replaced my BMW plugs - these are the ones recommeded, but cost 4 times as much at the dealer, and almost twice as much everywhere else online I looked.
Came quickly, and are obviously new and in good shape. They came in individual boxes, instead of a 6-pack, but for the price, who cares????

Questions & Answers
Question : Should I simply repair my propane grill or replace it?
We have a BBQ Grillware GGPL-2100 that is almost 4 years old. It is one of the cheapest grills that lowes sells and that's what attracted my grandmother to it. I find that we really got what she paid for when it comes to quality. The biggest issue is the rust. The drip pan and the grease collector are both rusted out. I looked up replacement parts and it would cost about $80 to replace the 2 parts. I am also having trouble with the electric ignition and the burners. I looked up online for spare parts and they are pretty hard to find. What would be the most intelligent course of action?
Answer:
I would simply retire that grill, its not worth the price of the parts to get it up to par again. The price of grills has come down somewhat in the last couple of years and you would surely enjoy having one that is in good working order. You may also want to get one with at least one or two side burners. These really come in handy when you are cooking out.

Question : Craftsman Riding Mower?
Someone PLEASE help! I have a Craftsman 19hp 42hp riding mower. It has the twin motors by Briggs & Stratton. My problem is that I think the ignition switch is going out. My neighbor showed me how to push the wires up against the ignition and then turn the key. It turns on this way, but if I turn it completely off, it won't start again. My yard desperately needs cutting and I cannot afford the buy another riding mower. I called Sears and without the model number, they can't help me. So if anyone has this type of lawnmower, could you PLEASE give the model number so I can order replacement parts. It was purchased around 2000-2001, I believe. And no, I cannot find the manual.
Answer:
If you are fairly certain that the ignition switch is the problem, it is a simple and reasonably inexpensive fix. Remove the black (negative) cable from the battery. Then remove the ignition switch, but first note and write down how the wires are attached to the rear of the switch. The switch is attached to the dash of the mower with a nut behind the dash. You will need a wrench or other tool to loosen the nut. Pull the switch out from the front and take it to Sears. Note, some auto parts stores may have a lesser expensive switch that will fit. Good luck.

Question : where can i find a diagram of 1991 chevy cheyenne silverado ignition replacement/removal?
The key is stuck in the on position. can pull it out but cannot turn it off. Can I still remove the part? How do I do it?
Answer:
you have a locking steering column and something is brokenI doubt it is the ignition switch which is mounted further down on top of the steering column, but you could check it and loosen it up and see if the key turns any further. To get to the lock itself, you have to remove the steering wheel, it takes a puller to get the wheel off, and a lock plate tool to remove the lock plate.A diagram isn't going to help you much, but careful examination as you take it apart, will help you get it back together. Watch out a few pitfalls are the key in warning buzzer switch can fall down into the abyss of the column, unplug the turn signal switch wiring to allow you some room to get to things that are below it. good luck!

Question : Where can I find a replacement ignition coil for my 1947 Dodge pick-up truck?
I went to several auto parts stores and could not find this part. It is for a 6v system, and looks different than most coils, with the positive connection on one end, and negative on the other. I can only find it for $125 in a specialty parts catalog. Is there any way to wire one of the newer looking coils to my old truck? Thanks for the help.Which wires go where? The new coil has a positive and negative terminal, and I have one wire going into the dash and the other going to the distributor.
Answer:
you can wire a newer one up to it or get one off hemming motor news, they have sources in their that have access to some of the older ones,if it was me id wire it up for a newer model one,if you want to keep it original then go for the original one on it,if you change it you,ll need the bracket and the coil for it,you can reduce a 12 volt coil to 6 volts real easy,if 6 volts is applied to a 12 volt coil its automatically reduces the out put voltage on it,good luck.

Question : Peugot 207 ignition keys?
How many people are waiting for replacement ignition keys for the new Peugot 207? The "flick out" key gets jammed inside the fob and can't be retrieved - disaster if you are miles from home and your other key! I have been waiting a month and just been told by Peugot themselves that it will be another 3 weeks before the keys are in their French Parts Dept. Of course, France closes down for August, The keys used to made in the UK but since Peugot moved out, they are now made in France and we all have to suffer. It will put me off Peugot in the future although I have been pleased with the 3 Peugots I have had over the years. So much for our European links!!
Answer:
you could try and lubricate the switch with some wd40 this usually works.

Question : auto car parts. replacement of wiper handle?
i need to know how to find or how do you call the switch that makes the wipers turn on? i need a replacement for my 2007 chevy cobalt. anyone who send me a link on where to buy it earns top winner. once again, i need the handle that makes the wipers turn on, it is located above the key ignition of the car. thanks
Answer:
where's the old one? if you have it, take it to Kragan, or some autoparts store.if not, go to such a store WHEN THEY ARE NOT BUSY, and ask if they have such a handle.when they look at you funny, and if there aren't any other customers, ask them to come look.otherwise, you're probably stuck with the dealer.the generic one is not going to look like the original.if looks is important, then you definitely have to go to the dealer.

Question : Used Acura RSX vs Lexus IS 300. How Much Would The Difference For Repair And Parts Costs Be?
Don't ask why these two, but I'm pretty much set on getting either an Acura RSX or a Lexus IS 300. A used car with probably 60 K miles on it at the most. Now I've had two Integras. Great cars. A few more repairs on the 2nd one for some reason, but I have 160 K miles on it and had 190 K on the last one. Anyway, I'm assuming the parts for the Lexus will be much more, but how much? And are they more labor intensive for repairs (ie would take more hours)? Mind you, I'd NEVER take a car that wasn't under warranty to a dealer for repairs because they are the spawn of satan. If I need to get the car fixed, I'll be going to my usual guy at the local Chevron who services a good chunk of the population's cars where I live. Always has a fair price and does a great job. But for typical repairs: clutch replacement, brakes, ignition, master cylinder, valve cover gasket, etc; for the same type of repair would the price to fix the Lexus be astronomically more than the Acura?
Answer:
Well figure in that the IS300 is a 6 cylinder car... so naturally you'll probably have slighly higher maintence and fuel costs.I had an RSX type s for a while... put 60k miles on it... never had one problem with the car... even after 30,000 turbo miles...all i did was change the oil ever 3,000 miles.I now have an IS350 with 30,000 miles... all i do is change the oil.. no problems... You can't go wrong with either... one thing about the RSX is that its still a new looking car where the IS300 is kinda old school now.
