Editorial Review :

Denso Iridium Spark Plugs are designed to ignite the air-fuel mixture in the engine cylinder by generating sparks between the center electrode and earth electrode. They employ an iridium alloy for the center electrodes and provide superb ignition performance. These plugs have lower fuel consumption and higher acceleration performance as well as stable combustion during idling, which contribute to the cleaner exhaust.

Customer Review :

Best spark plugs

I tried some slightly lesser iridium ones in the past, but this one beats them all. For both of my cars (a Nissan and a Suzuki) the engines instantly ran/sounded better. The Suzuki ('04) hasn't really shown any improvement in the gas mileage, but the older Nissan ('97) now gets about 2 miles more per gallon.

long lasting

I have been using iridium since 2001 on my civic. I saw quite a few comment about lifespan of the plug.
My denso iridum on the box said good for 250000 miles, and my civic is at 260000 and still running swell.
So they do last long, unless they reduce the quality so denso can make more $$.

don't hesitate to buy this one

If you look for quality, don't hesitate to buy this one.
Frankly, when I fixed it (all pack) I felt that my car's engine worked smoother.

Good product by Denso

I have used those spark plugs in my 2008 Chevy 1.6 L Aveo with 10.000 miles. I have noticed that the engine runs smoother. I haven't made detailed counts but I think that the gas millage doesn't increase significantly, but yes It does

Awesome deal on high quality plugs!

I recently bought a set of 6 Denso IK20 Iridium spark plugs for my girlfriends jetta vr6. They were a direct replacement of the oem's and installed smoothly. The car desperately needed a new set and now runs great. Awesome price and free shipping is nice too.

Perfect Plugs in my Impreza

These have been running strong now for 30,000 miles. They start the car 1-crank faster and have not given me any trouble. Fuel economy is what it should be as well.

I will purchase these again when they are worn. Finally, a good spark plug from Bosch!

Good Plug - However, No Noticeable Fuel Mileage Increase

I have two Toyota Camrys. A 2004 SE and 2006 LE. Both have the same 4 cylinder engine. I have always been religious about checking the gas mileage on my cars at every fill up because this relays to me if anything has gone awry. The '04 had 115,000 miles and the '06 had 45,000 when I replaced the plugs. I replaced them mainly to see if it would help the fuel mileage; unfortunately for me, no difference. I'm sure they are good plugs as Bosch is well known for their high quality, however next time I will probably replace using the factory spark plugs.

Denso Iridium Spark Plug Denso's Iridium power spark plugs help your vehicle achieve unparalleled performance. It alters the belief that a mere spark plug can add power and mileage. This is done by combining an ultra-fine 0.4mm diameter Iridium center electrode with a tapered cut U-groove ground electrode. Iridium conducts electricity better than platinum, however what makes it exceptional is it's also 6x harder and 8x stronger than platinum. This ultra-fine iridium center electrode provides superior ignition performance during acceleration and top cruising RPM. The U-groove ground electrode creates a larger, brighter flame kernel. The tip of the ground electrode has been tapered which further improves firing performance by reducing quenching. All of these features combine to give more horsepower to your motor. Technical Specifications - 14mm Thread, 19mm (3/4") Reach, 5/8" (16mm) Hex Size, Gasket Seat, Resistor, Removable Terminal, ISO height, 0.4mm Iridium Center Electrode, Tapered Cut U-groove Ground Electrode, .044" (1.1mm) Gap

Best choise for the toyota corolla

I bought four of this and replaced the old plugs on my 2003 toyota corolla le 94k, they work perfect.

Do not buy any platinum plug, cause the OEM plug is Ir,

the OEM plug is Denso SK16R11 or NGK IFR5A11, the old plugs in my car are SK16R11, but I also see some one have NGK in their corolla on the BBS, I guess just Toyota use different OEM parts in different time.

you can buy the OEM one, they last longer.

but change to IR16 can increace the performance a little bit(Due to the instruction on the Denso's website).

5 star product

I own a Civic LX 99 and this product made my engine start quicker and run smoother I had NGK before installing this! I will definitely be buying it once again except if Denso come up with better ones :-) (I highly doubt they will)

Power, better engine performance

Since the spark plugs on my mountain mitsubishi lancer 2.0 felt the difference of the normal wax candles. The originals were in very good condition. The engine now works with better performance at low and high revs, its response is faster, with the same fuel have more power and smoothness of motor.Si you want to save fuel will have to learn to dispense their management style. Excellent product 100% Japanese. The manufacturing quality is perfect. After thinking about purchasing this or another brand spark plugs and less if they are not manufactured in Japan

Iridium Plugs have not increased my fuel mileage/economy

I bought a set of 6 for my Acura RL to replace the factory laser Platinum plugs. The first week after the replacement, my gas consumption increased from 22mpg to 20mpg. I attributed it to a cold spell that had come by in early October. The second week, it went back to 22mpg. I checked it this week and it has gone back up to 20mpg. I don't know where people are getting the improved gas performance from. I have not seen any difference between the 99k old laser Platinums and these 30 mile old Iridiums in performance, except that the Iridiums cost a lot more.

MSD Ignition 32829 Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Set MSD Ignition 32829 Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Set

Editorial Review :

A tough 8.5mm synthetic/silicone jacket over an extra-heavy glass braid and dielectric insulator keeps the current guided to the plugs. The MSD super conductor wire set has dual crimped stainless steel terminals. A helically wound core has only 40-50 ohms of resistance per foot. MSD Ignition warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use, if properly installed, for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

Customer Review :

impressed

I installed these wires on my 2004 Silverado, 70k plus miles and factory wires, there was a very noticable difference in sound and throttle response!

Rating :

Do they work? I think so...

Sooo I'll admit that I was very skeptical of these wires from the very get go. They come highly recommended from several of the car forums that I read and are a well known brand in aftermarket performance products category. MSD has been around for a long time it's not a fly by night operation here. The plugs were here in two days and were cheaper than the local automotive franchise stores. Did I mention that they are red? Bright red? Didn't initially do it for me but once they are in the engine I do have to admit that the look great - but lets be honest - you didn't justify the expensive wires just because they are "pretty."

I drive a Chevy Avalanche with the V8 5.3L power plant. My truck just hit 90k miles and I wanted to preempt my 100k mile maintenance by getting an early start on some of the things that have never been changed on this vehicle. I have been running stock spark plugs and wires for 90k miles with no real feel/mileage drop (that I knew of) from the stocks. This is a big up to GM for installing reliable parts from the get go. UPS dropped off at 7pm and I couldn't wait for the install so I went outside and knocked it out. Now, I have to mention that on this truck, at least, the install is not 10 minutes for your average Joe Blow. I had the complete wires swapped in about 30 minutes but it was dark and I had no helper for my flashlight - OBVIOUSLY not ideal installation time. On my truck and on most GM's in this series the back (closest to the firewall) two plugs on either side SUCK. I ended up mauling the cables and metal shielding to get the plugs out. Be prepared with some pliers and some patience and probably some beer for good measure.

I took the truck for a spin and it's probably a placebo but I FEEL like the truck is much more responsive. Better yet, I know that these wires should give my truck the help it needs for another 100k.

Happy with the buy.

After I did all the tune-up on my Chevy Avalanche Z71 2004 I put these guys w/Premium from shell (or Chevron) !

OMG ! What a difference with the torque, up hill I feel more power, towing I feel more power also !

And now on the freeway I'm 20/22 mpg !

GREAT Deal!!

I bought these wires (#32829) as the research showed they were by far the best set for 5.3l GM motors. The fit was perfect and they were a simple install as they were cut to length and needed no modifications.

MSD 32829

Plugs are high quality and very easy to install. The wire next to the steering shaft has to be twisted to avoid running on the shaft. All in all a great purchase.

Terrible Packaging

I rate this as poor as I just received the spark plugs five days late and the box smashed and half open. It looked as if a truck drove over the small box? It was a wonder I got all eight plugs and was very disappointed in whoever packaged these plugs as it was the worst I eve have seen. There was no protection if the shipping box was damaged. I have waited and waited for these plugs and when I get them, they are smashed. Not bad plugs, but terrible packaging and makes me wonder about Amazon.

I really liked the idea behind four electrodes. A bit pricey but with the rebate it made it a no brainer.

purchased 4 of these for my RAV4 with 110k miles. Don't track MPG but I do drive 100-250 miles per day for work, gas tank does seem to need less filling.

Mixed bag

I purchased these on the advice of a friend. They are replacing NGK Iridium IX spark plugs at around 90K miles on them. The NGK plugs went from the correct gap setting of .044 to .058 and had some signs of rust, it was time. They were being placed in the my 2002 Honda Odyssey which has 168K miles.

First off, these plugs are more fool proof to install since there is nothing to gap. They are suppose to get more spark at the tip due to the 4 electrodes. The end result is a mixed bag. I was really expecting my milage to go up a little like after the last time I replaced the factory NGK plugs with the IXs. What I got was slightly better Highway milage but over all my City milage had gone down a little. The car runs much smoother, sounds better, and definitely more drivable but the milage gain overall that I was hoping for was not there. Maybe it will take the Honda Computer more time to adjust to the different burn of the plugs. These plugs should not be any hotter or colder than my other ones. Overall, for the drivablity and smoothness are better and there is a slight gain in highway mpg, but for some reason my city mpg took a small hit. I had not found anything on the web matching what happened to me but those are the breaks.

If I had the time and money I would like to try out the actually factory NGK plug vs the NGK IX vs these just to see if there is a real difference. Given the car has 168K on it these are going to be my last plugs that are installed. Overall more good than bad but not as good as I had hoped for. [...].

Question : help with using a capacitor?
I bought a capacitor/condenser from an auto part store to make a video of someone getting shocked by it. It is one the size for a car ignition, and the wire on it says 600-amp. If I charge this with a cars spark plug wire, can it still be in safe levels? I want to give someone a good shock, but not hurt or burn them. I've heard of this before, so I have a feeling its safe.it says 600V not 600 amps, sorry

Answer:
That's a stupid thing you're planning there. Turns out you're not the first to pull it (link below.)The size of the capacitor matters as much as the voltage: this determines the total charge it can hold. An auto condenser is about 0.25~0.33uF at 300V or so - not a lot of charge, even if you load it up with some high voltage. But there is the very slight possibility that someone could pick it up with one hand and touch the wire with the other and *zap* right across the heart... you really wanna take that chance?
