Silverado power window regulator and motor replacement
Recieved regulator and motor quickly. It installed with no drilling or special alignment problems. Way easier than I would have thought it would be. It been runnning for several weeks now and I'am glad to have it working again.

Ordered the part and received it at an OK delivery time. Took about 5 days to be delivered. When to install the regulator and noticed there were parts (needed parts) missing from the delivery. Was missing the brackets that hold the glass in place. Had to take them off the old regulator to install the "new" regulator. Might order from them again.

4th time's the charm
This is my 4th window regulator for the driver's side of my 2004 Dodge Dakota. Those little white plastic pieces keep braking, and it's never the same one. The original motor is so strong it pulls the cable housing right through the plastic stop, or rips the cord right out of the window bracket. This is the first time I've gotten one from Dorman with the modifications. Hopefully they fixed the problem.
Dorman Modifications:
-The troublesome white plastic pieces have been replaced with heavier duty plastic in a better configuration.
-Motor replaced with smaller, slower lifting motor. Smoother operation. It takes about 1 to 2 seconds longer to roll up.
BE SURE YOU GET THE REDESIGNED ONE - or else it will break about once a year. (looks a little different than picture)
Why 3 stars?? (5 stars for dorman, negative 2 stars for dodge designers)
-Dorman made nice modifications
-Fast shipping
-Cheap (compared to the dealership $200+)
-Easy to install (after doing this 4 times i can replace in less than 20 min)
Also, lube your window track with heavy duty silicone spray every now and then.

This Dorman Window Regulator was easy to install - less than 10 minutes - and works great! Or course the broken one was already out. The price was an added bonus!!! Thought it would take longer to get but was here in 2 days - Thanks Amazon.com!!!

Dorman Window Regulator
Install was easy if you know how to do it. Instructions included weren't much help but if you look online, you can find better instructions easily. Part fit perfectly and worked the very first time. Doesn't go as fast as I'd like but its not terribly slow either. For the price, you can't beat it!

This is the 2nd Dorman product I have purchased. The motor seems slightly underpowered, but works just fine, and at less than 1/2 the price of OEM, it is quite worth the value!

Easy install
My husband and I purchased this and got it for nearly half the price for the same product and brand name.When we installed it,it was alot easier than we thought.It took about 35 min overall.We love it !It works better than all the other windows now!We puechased it for an 03 Chevy Tahoe.

Dorman Window Regulator w/Motor (741-644)
Great product (OEM quality if not better - the new motor seems to work better than the OEM did when bought the truck new). Great packaging & free shipping (arrive in a couple of business days). Just can't beat this whole package (product, cost, shipping, etc.) compared to other websites or even auto stores. Install was very easy (less than 30mins for the part itself) and no doubt saved me some cash that the dealer would have gladly taken had I taken it in. The biggest hurdle was taping the window in the "up" position (so it wouldn't fall and bust inside the door frame). As always, it seems the prep-work before and the clean-up after take longer than the actual job itself. Once again, great product! Surprisingly easy fix on my 2001 Chevy Silverado.

Failed in 10 months!
Looked like a good product, but 10 months later it's junk. Has a lifetime warrantee, but Amazon doe not warrantee it, so I guess I have to try to get Dorman to make good on it.

2002 Chevy Silverado windoe regulator
The first regulator I received was not properly inspected by the company I had ordered it from. When it arrived and I tried to install the regulator, it fell apart because the wiring was not properly secured. However, when I reported this to the company, they shipped out another ASAP. Guess what? The second regulator was not properly put together either. The clamps that hold the regulator to the window were loss and rolling around the bag. Again I notified the company and was told that I could try and fix the unit and if there was any problem they would ship out another... To make a long story short - I was able to correct the problem of the second regulator and install it without ant further problems. So far the regulator is working perfectly and the assistance I received when I spoke with the company was excellent. It seems that the company does not store the products they sell but have them shipped from their suppliers, so it's the suppliers that don't check the merchandise that is shipped.

Question : How long is the average time for a motor replacement at the dealership?
My crappy 2007 Jeep Cherokee broke down,and needs a new motor and I'm wondering if anybody knows how quickly (or slowly) the change motors at dealerships? I know they have to order parts that are not in stock but any ideas? Im debating if I need to rent a car or not.

if the parts you have are replacement parts for the year and model that you have it should bolt up ok, otherwise go to the junk yard and find the parts off of another vehicle like the one you have

Question : Replacement of three parts on a 1989 Toyota 4Runner and question!?
These replacements include both the window motors for this vehicle i know the prices of them and how to do them just need to kow if bout 120 for both is too much? and the main problem is the gas is not working how do i fix this is there a float in the gas tank that might need replacement? if so what would that be called or could there be another rpoblem?

I've found window motors on eBay for a lot less but you have to be able to find the right one at the time someone happens to be selling the one you need.I found them at Advance Auto for about what your paying, so it's just where you want to buy them.The gas gage is controlled by a float in the tank.You will need to ask for the gas sending unit which also has the fuel pump attached to it but won't come with the sending unit. You have to swap it over to the new one.It's not hard to change once you get the tank out, but taking the tank out is a pain.

Question : What is the difference between a '64 1/2 Mustang and a '65 Mustang, also where can I get parts?
My husband owns a mustang and is now wondering if he has a '64 1/2 since there is a generator on the motor???? He needs transmission replacement parts for this mustang, anyone have a good referral place for parts and information, he has made several calls to no avail. Thanks for your help.

Refer to the site below for 64 1/2 differences.You don't say which transmission you have, either a C6 or even a C4 automatic, the 4 speed top loader or the 3 speed. There are plenty of parts available for the excellent Ford 4 speed as it was an excellent transmission, equal to the best of the era. I have included two sites for the automatics. the last is for a top loader.I only hope you don't have the 170 ci 6 cylinder. This engine was not only a dog but had 4 main bearings and was prone to early failure. The 200 inch 6, in contrast, was a great engine and very smooth. If you have a V8, so much the better.
