Works great!

It was exactly what I needed. Came pre-greased and ready to go. Got it installed and has been working perfect. Great item!

Easy to install, works fine

Whole process took me under 40 minutes.

Remove door panel, wires are easy to unplug (and replug, remember to push down on door console when plugging back in).

Unplug wire that goes to window motor.

If window was already being held up by something, remove the something and lower window gently until bolts holding cable to window line up with holes in door.

Remove bolts.

Lift window up and put something in a hole to hold it up.

Unscrew/unbolt existing unit and motor, tilt them and remove through large hole.

Replace with new unit, by reversing process used to remove old one.
note: check chart that came with new unit to make sure which side of motor screws to door based on how the holes line up.

Remember to lower window and connect it to new unit.

Remember to plug in new power cord.

Remember to reconnect wires and levers when putting door panel back.

Done.

This regulator is a perfect fit, and moves the window with the same speed as all the others.
I wish I'd known about this product a couple years ago, when my only choices were new at the dealer for $300 or used from a junkyard for $150.
Of course I took a chance and the used part worked fine - for a year and a half.
Glad I found this economical option, where else but Amazon!

Dorman works!

This is the 2nd Dorman product I have purchased. The motor seems slightly underpowered, but works just fine, and at less than 1/2 the price of OEM, it is quite worth the value!

I saved HOW much?!!

Here is the skinny..... I have zero experience at car repairs.... I watched youtube video on how to replace the window regulator.... I shopped for the part and local autoparts place wanted $89.99... Amazon price (for exact same doreman part) was $52.67!! I replaced on a 1999 Dodge Durango in about 30-45min.... (includes putting door panel back together) This part fit PERFECT!! I called my usual auto mechanic and asked how much to replace..... His price was $270.00!! I saved $217.33 and so can you!

Good product

I bought this product to replace a defective power window motor in my 03 silverado. Pretty easy to install but after about a week it quit working. I contacted the seller and they quickly shipped me another and it has been working great for about 4 months now. This product is a great alternative to the pricy OEM replacement and i would recommend it.

I was leary of this part because it was $215 cheaper than
the chevy dealer. but the part was perfect it came in just a few days and works great. I'm glad I checked on amazon before I paid
the outrageous price the dealer was asking.

Ordered the part and received it at an OK delivery time. Took about 5 days to be delivered. When to install the regulator and noticed there were parts (needed parts) missing from the delivery. Was missing the brackets that hold the glass in place. Had to take them off the old regulator to install the "new" regulator. Might order from them again.

Shipping slow

Shipping like a turtle. It took over 10 days to come. Ordered one from another vendor recently and it took 1 day.

2002 Chevy Silverado windoe regulator

The first regulator I received was not properly inspected by the company I had ordered it from. When it arrived and I tried to install the regulator, it fell apart because the wiring was not properly secured. However, when I reported this to the company, they shipped out another ASAP. Guess what? The second regulator was not properly put together either. The clamps that hold the regulator to the window were loss and rolling around the bag. Again I notified the company and was told that I could try and fix the unit and if there was any problem they would ship out another... To make a long story short - I was able to correct the problem of the second regulator and install it without ant further problems. So far the regulator is working perfectly and the assistance I received when I spoke with the company was excellent. It seems that the company does not store the products they sell but have them shipped from their suppliers, so it's the suppliers that don't check the merchandise that is shipped.

Perfect for Perfectionist

By nature I am a perfectionist, and as one, I am very skeptical of online purchases where I can not physically see the murchandise I am purchasing, not to mention my concern with what condition the murchandise will arrive in. But the Dorman Window Regulator I purchased for my Chevy Avalanche was everything the add said it was, and was delivered in perfect condition. It was a perfect replacement. The installition was simple and straightforward with no additional hardware or drilling required. The regulator has plenty of power to raise and lower the window. The perfectionist in me was very pleased. The only question that remains is "How long will this product last?" Only time will tell. Until then, I would recommend Dorman products to anyone who needs a replacement window regulator.

This product worked as smoothly, quickly, and as quietly as what came with the truck. I would suggest have some Loc-Tite blue threadlocker on hand for the fasteners securing the window to the regulator. That is what was done on original vehicle.

Perfect fit, but very slow & noisy

This was a perfect fit for my Silverado, but the window moves noticeably slower than the stock motor I have in the other door. This regulator also makes significantly more noise than the stock one.

Slow & Noisy, that's what you'll get...stay with the GM parts!

About 20 minutes per door and I was done. No adjustments needed and they're like new.

The product was easy to install however needed to alter to the instructions found in the Chilton book. The old motor was broken and the window glass wouldn't go down with a little bit of care you don't need to. New motor is slower than original but I don't notice it to be any louder. All in all its a great motor and I would highly recommend doing it yourself, you can save a lot of money and its not hard to do.

Just what I needed

This replacement regulator is faster & quieter than the original. It arrived about a week ahead of the scheduled time. I wasn't in a hurry so it took about 1½ hours to install. The Pontiac dealer quoted me $200 for the same thing. Amazon is the place to shop.

this regulator didn't work. The clips kept popping out and then to get my money back, I had to pay for shipping to return it. I think the company is reputable. But return policy should be better.
