Editorial Review :
Bosch Universal Heated Oxygen Sensors provide the closest match to original equipment manufacturers' sensor performance. Each sensor is manufactured with a two-foot length of sensor wire to allow maximum replacement of worn wire. Available for virtually all makes and models.

Worked fine
I replaced the OEM sensor in my 2005 Sentra SER Spec-V with this one after getting a check engine light(I can't remember the error code). A few days after I installed the new sensor the check engine light went out on its own. The spliced wires felt very secure. I installed the sensor about 4 months ago and it is still working fine. Great purchase with quick shipping through Amazon. EDIT: The check engine light error code was P1148 (closed loop malfunction detected bank 1. Bank 1 is the sensor closest to the engine.) Hope this helps!

Saved me at least 180 dollars
I had the code scanned on my 2003 corolla by autozone. It said I had a bad catalytic converter. My mechanic said it could be the sensor behind the cat. A new catalytic converter was 979 dollars. My mechanic wanted 235 dollars to do the sensor so I took a chance and did it my self. My check engine light was on for 5 months till I changed the sensor. I disconnected the battery to reset the light. I have driven 1100 miles since then with no light. Changing the sensor was a piece of cake. The old sensor came out easily enough with a wrench. Installed the new one and connected the wires. Done in about 4o minutes. The sensor came with a chart to tell you what coor wire to connect to which. No problems.

This universal O2 sensor worked perfectly on my 2002 VW Passat. And I saved about 50% over the cost of an OEM replacement.

Very Pleased
The sensor worked wonderfully and wasn't very hard to put together. I would say that is does require some understanding of what your doing though. If you think you can handle the assembly, its 100% worth the money you save over buying an OEM sensor

Great product and easy job
My van is Sienna 2006. The error code was P0158 (bank 2 sensor 2 oxygen sensor). Location of the sensor is at the bottom of engine right under hood lock. The upstream sensor is on the upper front part of the engine, close to the hood lock. Bank 2 sensor 1 downstream sensor is just under the body of passenger seat with connector under the seat. To loose sensors, you need warm up engine for 3 to 5 minutes. When it is clod, it is impossible to remove it. When it is hot, it is very easy. Toyota sensor is type B in Bosch's document. The wiring mapping order is two blacks, one white, and one blue of Toyota sensor for two whites, one gray, and one black of Bosch respectively. Wiring may take a half hour or longer because you want to do it right at the first time. For 15 days and 1400 miles after the repair, no more check engine lights. The problem is fixed. Toyota sensor may be Denson OEM part and costs over $200. The labor costs $100+. It took me one hour and $50+ bucks.

Denso 234-4169 Oxygen Sensor
I have a toyota 03, This product arrived within 2 days of purchase. It's was the right product. It fit prefect! If you want to make your job easier purchase oxygen sensor socket for about $3 at harbor freight...Another thing, I know it doesn't show it but it does have the factory plug on it as well and matches up perfectly.I would recommended it...

exact factory match 2000 landcruiser
this sensor looked identical to the one i removed except the wires were about two inches longer. denso appears to be the oem maker for toyotas. great price around $62 w/free shipping. i bought two. the picture does not show it but it does have the factory plug on it as well and matches up perfectly.if you have a landcruiser or lexus lx450 this is the o2 sensor you want before the catylitic converter(it may fit others also). i have not had to replace the after cat sensors yet but i think they are a different part number.

Oxygen Sensor for Toyota Sequoia
My husband went to Auto Zone to find out why our check engine light came on. They told us it was the oxygen sensor. The guy told us it's easy enough to change ourselves and would save us about $900. My husband, being the tinkerer he is, got on the internet and read up about it, got on you tube and watched some videos - and decided he could do it himself.
The long and short of it, he was able to get the part quickly, change it himself for a savings of $900, and the sensor he ordered even came with a part that he bought from Auto Zone and was able to return.
If you are a person who can fix things yourself, it can be done!

Great OEM replacement for Universal replacement price
Same manufacturer that Toyota uses, plugs right in without splicing and costs 1/3 the price of Toyota.

Removes and Installs Oxygen Sensors on Most Domestic and Some Imports.
Customer Review :
Does exactly what is supposed to do
Not a lot to say. It seems rugged, and lets you drive it with socket or crescent wrenches.
Rating :
It's fine
I used this for my 2000 Volvo V70. It was fine, but as someone said in another review, make sure your car uses a regular wire and not a really thick braided type before you get this one. Also... it's made in the USA, so that's a plus.
Rating :
Poor quality - fits too loosely on ratchet.
The socket fits too loosely, and too easily slips off, nearly ALL of my ratchets & extensions. It is virtually unuseable for its intended purpose (unless you are willing to use the socket, only pointing straight up!)
Maybe it was a "rare defect" but I'm unwilling to waste time on an exchange. I will instead purchase a Snap-On or Matco tool ... 2-3 times the cost, but always top-quality.
Amazon's return policies make socket easy to return -- the only bright spot.

Good product
Did not work well on 98 Lincoln Mark VIII exhaust system due entirely to angles and clearances. Would probably work well on other cars, however.
Rating :
product is good but don't need
The product shipped quickly and in good shape. However, I found out I don't need it even I replaced two o2 sensors on my 99 Camry.

Editorial Review :
Denso Universal Oxygen Sensor is designed with precision, manufactured to the highest O.E. quality, guaranteed to fit right the first time. This oxygen sensor is of superior quality and will outlast most other oxygen sensors. Constructed with exclusive aluminum oxide trap, this extra layer helps to protect from silicone and lead poisoning which causes premature sensor failure. This combined with other Denso high quality features such as stainless steel housing and porous Teflon filter all contribute to make a long life oxygen sensor with improved engine performance and greater fuel efficiency.
Customer Review :
Not compatible
While this appears to be a decent quality part and comes with good directions, Amazon's compatibility checker is wrong. This item is NOT compatible with a 2001 Toyota Camry with the V6 - the Amazon checker indicates that it is. It turns out that my vehicle requires a "wideband" heated oxygen sensor, not the kind shown here. It would be safe to assume that any other Toyota vehicle with the 1MZ-FE engine would also not be compatible with this part.

DIY, save your money.
My '00 Toyota Solara (V6 engine) had a P0135 check engine code on. I use this to replace the defected OE Denso oxygen sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1). The instruction is clear so that I can wire it without any problem. It works just great!
Rating :
Near-perfect replacement
After removing the original sensor that had failed, I installed this one, using the original wiring/plug. The wiring for the original one seemed a little short, so I installed this one with 1" more cable - you can't do that with the OEM replacement.
I chose the Denso over other brands, because that is what the original was. The sensor body is identical to what was removed.
This was a fraction of the cost of a ready-to-install sensor, but it was well worth the effort to do a little work.
The only criticism is that the shrink-tubing provided to seal the splices seemed to take longer than I expected to shrink down. I used a Bic lighter, as I have done with other shrink tubing. It just seems like it took a long time to tighten up.
It's been in a month now, and seems to be working just fine.
A note when measuring to cut the original wiring: be sure to mark where all of the ties and clips are, where the harness is attached along its length. If you put the splices where the wiring should be bending, or at a clip, it may not bend smoothly.

Best O2 at Best Price Around
I still have yet to find a cheaper place to buy a 4-wire denso O2 sensor than here at Amazon. I never thought I'd be buying car parts on here, but if they want to sell it, I'm happy to buy it.
I replaced my Celicas sensor with this universal one in about 15 minutes using a socket I already had. The check engine light I had previously has disappeared & my fuel economy slightly improved. This is the same brand that most japanese manufacturers use as OEM equipment, such as Mazda, Toyota, Nissan. I've used Bosch universals in the past & this one is equivalent, but less expensive than the Bosch 4-wire counterparts.

This review is out of step with the "one review per customer/item". A few days ago I commented on Bosch 15716 Oxygen sensor, at that time I had purchased two, 15716 and 15717. My mechanic installed both sensors an questioned why I did not buy two of each so both sides could be changed? I was not told to get four! I had another set sent next day delivery and they were put in . In addition to the $40.plus saving over parts stores prices I can also now say the vehical runs smoother and is more responsive. SUMMARY:as previously indicated I saved money, received super service from Amazon.com, and now can say with authority that the four Bosch oxygen sensors improved the operation of the vehical.

I always prefer Bosch parts
I bought two of these O2 (HEGO, oxygen) sensors for my 1994 Crown Vic. I had previously mage the mistake of buying the "universal type". That may have been OK with a single or maybe even a two-wire unit but I will NEVER do it with a three or four-wire sensor again. Since the wires have different guages and colors from the stock wiring, it is very difficult to get lucky enough to get them to work correctly. I even was persistant enough to finally find the wiring chart for both the universal sensor (Delphi) and the Ford stock colors. I matched them up and they still did not work right. Once I bought these Bosch units, I plugged them in and sent the car down to get smogged. Even with 267,xxx miles on the engine, it passed with flying colors! I know that phrase it used a lot but check this out: one reading allowed 1%. Measured was .01%. Another was allowed 2% and it read .02%. The HC (hydrocarbons) allowed like 551 PPM and my car had like 42 PPM. These were much better than what I did a year and a half earlier with some 30,000 miles LESS on the car! The only recommendation I would make would be to maybe step up to the next longer wire length. When the factory puts these in they have plenty of room. With pulling the engine, space can be very limited so having a longer wire length would certainly help.

Works Perfect!
I replaced the sensors on my 2000 Ford Expedition after 120,000 miles, and they work perfectly, and passed inspection with flying colors.

Saved a lot!
My engine light was on. Found out that it was my O2 sensors. I purchased the exact same one from Amazon that the auto store was selling and I saved $15 on each one that I bought at Amazon. Thank you Amazon!

Works great
Find yourself an honest mechanic before deciding its the O2 sensor. I had the OBD II reader tell me it was P0156 and I ordered the O2 sensor thinking I would just have it changed. Turns out it was just a fuse.
The sensor itself works fine (with my 1996 Ford Taurus)

Questions & Answers
Question : Why does a replacement module in HDTV not the same?
An authorized Samsung service tech told me that my module in my HDTV had to be replaced. He told me the cost and he gave me the part number and ordered it. It is not the same as the original because the Perfect Focus button does not work and when you click on it it says "No Sensor Data". The tech told me my TV is an older model and that the replacement part has the same module # but it is different. I cannot use Perfect Focus. After he installed, he told me the part was automatic - now the pictures on the TV are sometimes not focused, too much color, too pale colors, etc. I knew something was kinda strange because once he was finished, he told me had to program the convergence - well he got to the screen - but 1st screen was black and white with the square pointer moving from left to right down to the bottom of the screen, then the screen changed to a magenta color and after that it went back to the black and white. He told me it was automatic.
Answer:
Well, that's the wrong part for your TV. Call and demand that they find the correct part and rerepalce it. HaLF A REPAIR IS NO REPAIR AT ALL. C.

Question : How critical is the replacement of a bad mass airflow sensor to the life of other engine parts?
I've got a 00 Chev Monte Carlo with the 3.8L V6. Will not replacing the sensor cause further damage to other sensors or engine parts? Just dropped $500 on hail damage, don't want to replace right away.
Answer:
Don't let some "mekanik" talk you into spending a lot on a maf sensor. If your vehicle is running ok you don't need it replaced. A shop with a computer that can graph hje operation of your sensors can tell you what is good or bad. Not all shops have this capability. Don't go on the "I think the problem is---" You will go broke and still have a problem.

Question : trying to figure out why my stock coolant temp sensor is different from online replacement parts.?
The one that came with my 96 for ranger is the factory stock. It looks for the most part like the replacement ones online, except where the wiring connects. The one that is in the truck now almost has a spark plug look, where the wire boot fits over the tip of it. All the replacements have the plastic clip that connects to the new sensor. I'm basically wondering why my factory wiring would be different.
Answer:
One thing that seems to be pretty common is they give you the wrong coolant temp sender/sensor, but for the right car. The one with the spark plug type boot is for the temp gauge or idiot light in your dash. If the other one uses a positive locking mechanism, and the wire side of the connector uses a little accordion/pleated like rubber boot, and has two terminals instead of one, that's the one that sends a signal to your cars computer. The first is also usually referred to as a "sender" while the second is referred to as a "sensor".Here's a temp "sender";http://www.autozone.com/images/products/wl2/wl2tu25003.jpgHere's a temp "sensor";http://www.autozone.com/images/products/wl2/wl2su284003.jpg

Question : oxygen sensor replacement 97 mazda 626?
The exhaust oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. Anyone have an estimate of the cost? The OEM sensor costs $260.00 but i can buy one that fits for $65.00 and have someone else do it right? Will shops do that or do they want OEM parts?how do i do it myself? can anyone explain?
Answer:
An O2 sensor is an O2 sensor. No matter what car it is the oxygen sensor measures oxygen and sends its readings to the computer where the computer makes the changes necessary to keep the car running correctly. So in other words a 50 dollar universal O2 sensor will work just fine. Make sure you get one that is four wire though because your car being obd2 will have a heated o2 sensor. The universal one listed under any parts counter should have that already. Connecting the universal one to the existing harness is pretty easy as well because the four wires are all color coated and the kit comes with wire connectors. This should be a project that will only take you about a half hour as long as the o2 sensor comes out okay. Good luck.

Question : How many Oxygen Sensors does a 2002 Mercury Sable LS have? If there is more than one, are they all the same?
Also, where is the location of them? Is it a direct replacement or will I have to disassemble other parts to get to the location?
Answer:
There are four, since it is a V6 and OBD II. They're located in front of and in back of the catalytic converters. I'd rather sit on a running ham slicer than work on a Ford product.

Question : I have a 2003 Buick Rendevous, the Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor1 needs replacement, have the part,?
I can not locate where this is at to change out. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Answer:
The 3.4l v6 was the only engine offered in that vehicle. Bank is referring to left side(cyl's 1,3,5) and right side (2,4,6) manifolds. Look at your exhaust manifolds and follow them down the system. The first sensors you run into are A/F sensors. They are always ahead of the catalytic converters. You will see large catalytic converters then your Oxygen Sensors(O2).The only thing you will need to confirm is which set of manifolds(left or right) buick calls Bank 1. I would call a buick dealership and ask the service dept.***anytime a code is that specific(i.e. Bank 1 Sensor 1) and there are no ECU firmware updates for that vehicle....The sensor is bad. The ECU is testing it and it fails.

Question : 2001 Ford Focus ZR3 (w/automatic) Throttle Position Sensor. No replacement part available, ?
2001 Ford Focus ZR3 (w/automatic) My check engine light came on, my local mechanic says that I need to replace the Throttle Position Sensor, Here is the problem. He tells me the original part is no longer available, Ford has redesigned the part, the more expensive redesigned part(s) to replace this one part are not available from Ford. It has been on order for months. Does anyone know of this problem? What is being done? I can not even sell this car with check engine light on. We have tried all the major auto parts stores and aftermarket sources, but they don't have the correct part for the automatics. I can't believe with the popularity of the Focus, Ford does not have the proper replacement parts readily available.
