LOVE IT
This is a great product. I bought two, one for my brothers 2009 BMW R1200RT and one for my 2009 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. I installed the harness on both bikes in just a few moments; it tucks neatly away under the frame. The quick connect is easy to close off with the include cap and easy to open back up. The leads are long enough and it charges well. I like the lights on the front that give me an instant view of the battery condition. Price is right too at about $24. I highly recommend this unit for anyone with a motorcycle.

Own Seven
I personally own seven and very satisfied. They are easy to use on any battery, snowmobile, 4 wheeler, car ect. and the best part is they do not over charge the battery.

Very nice product
This product has done everything it claims to do. My battery had gone dead over the colder winter months. This tender brought the battery back to charged level and is maintaining it until I can purchase a new battery.

Keeps my motorcycle alive and well!
LOVE this thing! I no longer have to worry if my motorcycle will start or not.
I permanently attached the leads on my battery so the small connector is tucked in my front grill. When I park my bike, I just plug the connector to the Battery Tender and it's all set. Takes me about 5 seconds. No problema!
Totally worth it.

THE BEST CHARGER/TENDER EVER!
I purchased a tender for my bike and liked it so well I bought two more. One for my brother-in-law and one for my sweetheart. The easy connect to the battery was wonderful, plus the quick clip for disconnecting from the charger is even better. It's a quality built item and I'm sure I'll have years of great service from it. I'm really looking forward to giving the Tenders and watching the faces when they see how easy it is to install. My brother-in-law's battery is located under his seat, so he has to take the seat off and the battery out to recharge. So he'll really appreciate the easy connect and quick clip. I would definately recommend this item to anyone.

Editorial Review :
The MaxiScan code reader supports all OBD2 protocols, including the newly released Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol. Though it is small, it is able to retrieve same information as large expensive scanners. This code reader reviews the emission readiness status of OBD monitors and determines the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) status as well as turns off check engine light. It comes with free CD software with over 7000 DTC definitions and is powered via detachable OBD2 cable.

Saved the price of a new car...
My ten-year-old car has a minor cooling system problem which I found with the Autel MaxiScan MS300. The sofware disc may not work on newer computers, but the manual contains what you need to know. I am really delighted with the MS300!!!

Ths tools works for me
Being nothing special - the basic cheapest one - this tool works great for my 1999 Mercedes. I could read the error codes and plan my repairs. Yes, you could do that for free in many auto parts stores, but this tool will save you time. You could also erase the codes and observe when if they come back and how soon, without making 10 trips to the store. I would recommend anyone having older vehicle to have such a tool. If check engine light is off it doesn't mean you don't have any hidden error codes which could need repair.

Great little scanner
OK..so it won't work on 1% of the cars ever made. But it worked great for me on my American made cars. Straight forward no bells or whistles, but how often are you really going to use this? And what the heck do you expect for this price!? ( I paid $22 on a gold box deal) The computer dvd software included is great. Just punch in your code and it tells you what's up so you can either fix it yourself or keep you from going to the repair shop stupid.

Worked better than pricier one
This worked like it was supposed to. Stupid Equus 3030 --that I bought years ago and paid twice as much for-- did not.
Score!

Saved me an expensive service appointment
I had a check engine light on my Cobra and knew it wouldn't pass emissions. Tried a competitive device that came from a big box store. It wouldn't even read anything on either car I own. Read the reviews and decided to take a chance.
Got the device today, glanced at the manual and hooked it up. No fault showed and it allowed me to reset the fault and pass inspection!
Well worth the small cost and now I have the ability to check any faults on my cars.

Just Bought My Second One
I bought my first Battery Tender for a BMW M3 that I drive infrequently because of travel. The car uses a lot of power even when turned off and idle. After having to replace a dead battery my dealer suggested that I purchase a charger to keep my battery in good shape. I believe BMW sells this unit under their logo, but I bought it from Amazon for much less $$$.
Problem solved! Even after a one month long business trip my car started immediately. Seeing that green light on the Battery Tender gives me peace of mind that my car will start when I need it and my battery will stay in good shape.
When my wife's Honda S2000 would not start after sitting in the garage for a few months, I thought I would try my Battery Tender before calling AAA. After an overnight charge the car started right up. After an additional 24 hours the green light was constant telling me the battery charger was in maintenance mode. My wife asked me to buy one for her.
One Note: find out if your car can charge via the cigarette lighter. This seems to be the most convenient method. BMW 3 series prior to 2007 can charge this way but newer models cannot. The Honda 2004 S2000 cannot charge via the auxilliary socket between the seats, so I installed the terminal set directly to the battery.
This device works, is solidly built, and is a good investment.

Deltran Battery Tender Plus fills the bill
I have a garaged car that only gets driven a couple of times of month at a weekend home. After about the 5th time of jump-starting a dead battery, a friendly neighbor/garage enthusiast informed me about "battery tenders." After reading the reviews here, I pulled the trigger on the Deltran Tender Plus, and am very happy. I hooked up the ring terminal harness in about 2 minutes and started the charge at around 8PM. Red light stayed on overnight, and by morning the green light was flashing and the red light was off, indicating an 80% charge. Getting to the steady green light with red light off(full charge and trickle maintenance) took another 6 hours or so.
Using this could not be easier, and it is tailor made for someone like me: garaged car over winter with sporadic use and night time temperatures in the 20s and 30s. My only quibble is that the ring terminal harness cord could be about 2 feet longer (it's only 1.5 feet) to allow the charge cord to be snaked through the car's front grill and capped when not in use. I did not use the included alligator clamp harness and will keep it as a backup. Because I have a power outlet in the front of my garage bay, I needed no other extensions on the power cord, or on the charging cord. I would guess that the fully extended outlet cord plus the DC charging cord, plus the DC ring terminal harness, extends about 12 feet total, so that should give you an idea of whether you will need any extensions (either power cord or DC cord) to reach your battery. I briefly considered buying the separate cigarette lighter adapter to charge, but because the lighter on my car is not "hot" when the car is off, it could not work.
For all of the technical reasons previously reviewed, I feel confident that the battery tender will now maintain a float on my lightly used car battery and there will be no more jumper cables in my future!
Rating :
Does the job!
Easy to use, easy to set up. The little green light indicates it's happy, too. There's no way to know, of course, whether it made a difference since the alternative was to disconnect my '96 BMW M3's battery. Don't bother with the cover. As noted elsewhere, the package it comes in is suitable for storage.
Rating :
Must have if you own a classic car
All I can say is that it works great and I love the adapter that allows you to charge your battery without opening the hood each time. I use this on my 67 Caddy which I don't get to drive at all 6 months out of the year.

Editorial Review :
Accutire's programmable digital tire gauge is an easy-to-use, multi-featured gauge with an extra large, blue, backlit LCD screen and ergonomic styling. It measures PSI from 5-99 pounds in 0.5-pound units, and includes the patent-protected Set Point programmable feature which allows for recording the factory-recommended tire pressure for both front and rear tires. Other helpful features include a white LED flashlight to make checking tire pressure at night or in the garage a cinch; an audible pressure signal; auto off; and a five-year manufacturer warranty.
Customer Review :
You definitely want an O-ring
I've had this product for a number of years, and only by reading the reviews here did I learn what was really wrong and how to fix it. In my case, I took an 008 O-ring (width 1/16", inner diameter 3/16", outer diameter 5/16"), popped it in, and suddenly decided I liked this tire pressure gauge.
Rating :
Mediocre at best
This Gauge does not make an easy proper seal with the tire valve. The tire loses air with the numberof attempts made to make the seal. I doubted the accuracy of the reading
Rating :
Great little toole
The gage works great and the little flashlight is helpfull in dark conditions. I think it's a great value for litlle money! What else can you say?
Rating :
Does As It Says
I bought this tire gauge because I was tired of the traditional types which forced a sliding mechanism to come out of a sleeve and you had to read the numbers or slashes on the side. I wanted specific, accurate readings and the Accutire MS - 4350B delivers them with digital readouts. The little beeper beeps when it has the reading and it works consistently. I like it because it works exactly as it says it does. The programmable feature seems a bit over the top and I don't use it but some air pressure freaks may like it. It a reasonable price, good value and I recommend it to anyone.
Rating :
Neat features; pitiful quality
I bought 3 of these a few months ago. One of the three arrived with an internal leak and never worked right. After 3 months, only one of the 3 still works. The second one works only as a flashlight, the pressure reading part has ceased to operate. I can't recommend these to anyone.

unit does all it says
This tool is a must if your a do it yourself or a master tech . You get quick and reliable information . great for quick repairs and the service bag it came in is just right for my unit .I fully endorse this product is great for the money .

Works Perfectly
This reader read my codes correctly, told me which cylinder was malfunctioning, and what was happening. This device operates exactly as described, is easy to use, and works trouble-free.
I would not have easily confirmed a suspected leaking head gasket without this device reliably reporting the failure mode through its various tests. Intelligent use of this reader will help you know when it is time to take your vehicle in for professional repair or if you can do the fix yourself. A real edge when the repair shop knows that you've properly identified what's really wrong with the vehicle when you take it in.
The caveat is that the code scanner user must understand what the codes mean, and how the code report fits into the complete picture of the engine's performance. It is a significant tool in the home mechanic's arsenal when used correctly.

Equus 3160 OBDII Scanner
I reviewed many different scanners in this price range and this one was highly rated and met all my requirements. It is easy to use, records data before, during, and after a fault code. It can erase codes and can display ABS codes for certain model domestic vehicles. I've had to use it on my'96 Acura RL many times and it has worked flawlessly. It beats going to a repair shop or Parts house every time a code pops up. Once you've read the codes and engine data, you can download the data to your computer and create a nice little report. This is helpful if you have to take the vehicle to a repair shop. It lets the repair shop know that you know what the problem is and they may be less likely to try to pull something. It also is a means of recording problems for future review. Another nice ability is that the software can be upgraded via the Internet. I'm hoping that Equus includes some foreign ABS codes in future updates. All in all - a lot of bang for the buck. I'm very please with my purchase.Equus 3160 Innova ABS + Professional CanOBD2 Diagnostic Code Scanner for OBDII Vehicles with Back-lit Screen and Enhanced Live Data

Works great
I had one of those cheap OBD-II readers that I got in a gold box special a few months ago and when the check engine light went on in my car, it was able to give me the code, but that was about it. No access to any of the additional information (freeze frame) available at the time of the problem. No ability to analyze the engine as it is running, etc.
So I started poking around looking for a good prosumer model (a level above the basic consumer model, but not the full fledged high $$ professional model) and found myself looking at the Equus 3160...
Took the new unit out to the truck and got lots of details on the problem (showing that it was an engine misfire that occurred when the engine was idling - which was one of the signs of a "service-notice warranty extension" problem with my truck model) and I also used it to take a look at a bunch of the system characteristics while the engine was running (mostly auto-geeky kind of stuff, but interesting for me!).
Since I have a GM model (Chevy Colorado) the extended data and ABS data is available (not that there was anything special for me to look at there for me).
I'm glad to have it and now at least have some idea as to what that dang "check engine" idiot light means when it lights up (so I can figure out if it's a problem I want to tangle with or just bring it in for service). You kind of need that because that stupid light goes on for all kind of reasons (even one as simple as leaving your gas cap too loose).
Definitely recommend.

This thing is great
For the money, this is a great scanner tool. I have used the Snap-on scanners before, and before I found this scanner, I thought snapon scanners were the only kind to have. This thing is very comparable to the best snap on scanners as far as engine live data and diagnostics go. It is great that this thing pulls ABS codes for some vehicles as well. In my opinion, this was worth every single penny I spent on it.

Questions & Answers
Question : Car stereo system set up?
Ok, I have been shopping around for stereos, speakers, amps, subs and all that stuff for my 2001 Cavalier. So far, this is what I am set on and ready to buyDeck-Clarion DXZ585USB (factory refurbished, about $155)4x6 speakers (front)-Boston Acoustic S75 2-way (est $75)6x9 speakers (back)-Pioneer 3-way TSA6963R (est $85)I might buy an amp later when I get another paycheck, as well as subs. I am planning on installing the deck myself (never done it before but have proper tools and instructions as well as dashkit, wiring harness, etc). And I went to a car audio shop where I am buying the S75's from and they will install the S75's and the Pioneer 6x9's for about $90 each (which is better than $210 each at crappy Canadian Tire). Before I pull the trigger on anything else or set anything in stone, is their any advice I should be given or things I need to know? What's your take on prices, equipment, set up, etc. Basically, will there be any surprises, or am I pretty much good to go. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Answer:
I've found that the hardest part is figuring out how to get the old deck out. Once that's done, you shouldn't have too much trouble. P.S. Good call on the Clarion

Question : What do I need to get higher quality home recordings?
I'm building a small home studio. Going from Garageband to Pro Tools LE. Currently I use an M-Audio Fast Track as my interface, a Power Mac G4 w/ built in soundcard. That's about it at the moment. My main problem is knowing what piece of equipment will directly effect a better quality sound. I don't get enough volume out of my recordings. What should be my first new item...a new soundcard? A Power Amp? New Interface? All of the above? Trying to make sense of this stuff, but there's so much to learn. Please help!
Answer:
No No No it not the equipment you are using it the settings make sure all the volume settings are correct and are turned up then check all of your recoding settings as well as your audio settings

I know I need to get a microphone (any recommendations?) and I know I need monitor speakers.Do I need anything else? If I have an M-Box do I still need a pre-amp?

Question : subs and an amp for a car?
I found an amp and some speakers. its a kenwood amp and someone put two 8" speakers with a box.my question is: is there any tools that would tell me whether or not the equipment works? so i wont have to have it installed in the car, i might try to sell it if it still works. if there is some tools or something to test it to make it work, where can i get it? thanks
Answer:
A multimeter would allow you to test for continuity and ohm load. Your best bet would be to head over to a local car audio store and ask them if they will let you test your equipment out there. If they are nice they won't mind, but it may take a few dollars under the table depending where you go.
