Question : $23,500 for a 2008 Honda Civic?
Hi guys, I just purchased the following car on Saturday for $23,500 out the door at 2.9% APR for 60 months:CAR:2008 Honda Civic EX AutomaticACCESSORIES:Honda Security SystemTinting with lifetime warrantyDoor Edge GuardsMud GuardsMoon Roof VisorWheel LocksOther Goodies100,000 mile Bumper to Bumper Platinum Warranty5 Years Gap Insurance3 Years or 35,000 miles of Oil Changes with Car WashRoad Hazard WarrantyAll of the above and the Tax, Title and all the fees was included in the price of $23,500 out the door + I got a 2.9% APR for 60 months. Did I get a good deal?

Answer:
The Civic is good but for that price you could've gotten a good mid-sized car with nearly everything you just mentioned especially the accessories. That stuff you can get on the aftermarket for about half the price of the dealer. Are the "other" stuff worth over $3000? Well, road hazard is free on some new cars, oil changes w/ car wash are about $30-35 bucks a pop so you got around $350 dollars worth so is the warranty and Insurance worth around $3000? Plus, they still charged you 2.9%? Is the car fully-loaded at least?Hope you got a GPS out of it as well.

Answer:
No, accessories are NEVER required. In rare cases with cars that are hot sellers like the Toyota Prius last year, dealers would rather wait on other buyers who will purchase the car with added accessories. However the ES is not in extremely high demand so you should be able to tell the dealer to remove the accessories or find another ES with no accessories. If they do not comply then simply walk away and find another dealership. This invoice is a bit confusing, it says your total accessory cost is $2040, but trunk mats, wheel locks, and cargo nets certainly do not cost that much. To give you a better idea we bought an 08 ES 350 with the premium plus package with navigation for 38k out the door. Hope this helps, also visit carsdirect.com for a good idea on how much you should pay.Just remember all the auto dealers are hurting right now, you have a lot more power than they do. If you are not satisfied with the car or the deal they are giving you simply walk away. Try another dealership.

Question : What are the absolute necessary Honda Civic Lx accessories?
Im going to buy a new 2008 Honda Civic sedan LX auto and wanted to know being a newbee what are the necessary accessories i should get installed?16" Alloy Wheels 17" Alloy Wheels Wheel Locks Front Under Spoiler Rear Under Spoiler Side Under Spoiler Splash Guards Car Cover Door-Edge Guard Full Nose Mask Half Nose Mask Fog Lights Cargo Net Trunk Tray Interior Gauge Trim Kit Auto Day/Night Mirror with Compass Remote Engine Starter System

Answer:
I have an 07 Civic LX 4-Dr, and for now I've kept my car pretty much stock with splash guards only. I was thinking of getting some aftermarket 16-inch alloys b/c the steel wheels w/ hubcaps is hurting my fuel economy. If you go up to 17-inch wheels you know you're gonna have to change your tire size, right? Only drawback to that is that your speedometer will be off a bit. As far as the nose mask is concerned, if you are not as concerned about washing/cleaning your car, I wouldn't worry about that; as long as you get it professionally waxed or detailed, then you're fine. Auto Day/Night Mirror w/ compass? Hmm, I should've gotten that on my 07. :) This could come in really handy for you in case you drive a lot especially at night. Don't bother with an underbody spoiler and wheel locks (actually, on the wheel locks, it's your choice, but the underbody spoiler is not really a necessity if you're concerned about your car getting scratched by dips and driveways). Door edge guard? Wouldn't worry about that much, either. Fog lights? Sure.Trunk tray? Only if you want to keep the "carpeting" clean from spilled groceries from Costco. :P Interior gauge kit? Don't bother with that. Why would you want to spend $2500 app. for a kit just to "show off?"Hope I've answered all of your questions, man. Good luck.

Question : Do you think i should buy this 1999 Acura Integra LS for $6,900.00(USD)?

Answer:
OMG heck no. I got a 1991 Subaru with 40,000 on it for $2000, and a 2000 Saturn LS with 137,000 on it for $4300. That Acura is almost the cost of a brand-new Civic.I also saw a BMW online for only about $4500, and it was pretty new.

Question : thinking about buying a 2008 lancer.?
is it worth it? i got a quoted price of about 24.5k and with taxes and extra costs, it comes to about 31k. I wasn't gonna buy it that day so I didn't try negotiating, but how much lower do you think I can go? It is for a black GTS model with sun+sound package. in canada. the MSRP is 26043.What kind of things should I try to get them to throw in as extras if I can't get a lower price? My sister said that I should try to get free oil changes for life (she got that on her civic) and others said I should get accessories like scuff plates and floor mats and wheel locks, etc. Thanks a lotvolten dude: first off, they start at about 16k here in canada and thats the manual cheapest model. i want the most expensive one in automatic with a sunroof package, so that is 24-25k. then theres random taxes added to it to make it about 31k.

Answer:
What Edmunds.com says Mitsubishi is once again a serious player in the competitive compact sedan segment with the 2008 Lancer. Its sleek new exterior and invigorated performance should appeal especially to younger buyers, while mainstream consumers will appreciate its improved build quality and impressive luxury options.Pros Stout chassis, confident handling, paddle-shift automatic available in GTS trim.Cons No stability control or telescoping steering wheel, only one engine currently available.

Try a different key and instead of moving the steering wheel all the way one way and then the other move it back and forth and try pushing back on the shifter to make sure it is in park all the way.

Roof mounted LCD13. Those fancy blue lights ,a pair of strong neon lights and roof lights as well.

Answer:
Why are you trying to make your SUV look like a rolling parts store? Too much "decoration" will make it look tacky and people will laugh at you.I have a SUV that I bought new and it is top of the line. I added fiberglass splash guards ($200) and that is all. It came with all the bells and whistles along with a fantastic stereo system.I suggest saving the rest of your money to purchase gas and cleaning products for your SUV.

Question : Can I negotiate Honda car options?
I'm planning to buy a new honda. I looked on the Honda website and priced some options such as wheel locks. However, when I go on the websites of 3rd party Honda accessory dealers, the same options are sold for at least $50 cheaper. Why is this and do you think I can talk the Honda dealer down and show him the discount prices I found? Or should I just order my options separately and save money that way?

Answer:
The third party accessories are most likely after market parts that cost less to make than Honda OEM parts. Many of them are made of quality materials. Some aren't. So be careful when shopping for them. If you want a well made accessory for the lowest price, go with after market parts. If you want original factory accessories, go with the Honda dealer. But expect to pay a lot more.It may not be wise to show the salesman what you want and what price you want it at. Years ago, when I was a hustling, blue suede shoes type of sales manager at a Toyota store, I always made sure my sales staff would trash after market products. Make them sound like a cheap rip off. Then get you to buy our factory parts which we made a nice commission off of. Truth was, the accessories we were trashing were actually just as good as what we offered, but at a lower price. A price we couldn't touch. Buy them from a third party and keep them out of the deal. Or you could end up paying for more expensive Honda OEM parts that the salesman talked you into buying.

Question : My key doesn't turn in my 2000 Jeep Gr Cherokee?
Making it impossible to start or move. When I say doesnt turn I mean it wont budge either way (no accessories, nothing). my steering wheel is NOT locked and it is in park, any suggestions?

Answer:
Sounds like you might have a broken ignition lock cylinder. I changed one out in my '92 Ford Ranger. If they are similar, it shouldn't be a problem. First, call your local Jeep dealership and tell the service department person what it's doing and see if they agree. If so, go to Autozone and get the part (unless it's a dealer item) and a Hayne's Auto Repair Guide and you can have it switched out in an hour or so. Good Luck!!Blessings
