The perfect wheel brush

This is a great wheel brush (more specifically, for the rims). The size is perfect, the handle and its rubber grip make it comfortable to hold, and the head of the brush has rubber around it so the brush won't scratch the rims. The bristles are long and they are medium stiffness; it's the perfect balance of having decent scrubbing power while being safe on all wheels. The price from Amazon.com is perfect also; very high quality wheel brush at a reasonable price makes this an excellent value.

People should look elsewhere for a brush to scrub the wheel barrels and behind the spokes.

My only complaint is that Amazon.com does not ship this brush properly. I have ordered this brush directly from Amazon on two difference occasions and both times the brush is basically just tossed into a box or an envelope and upon opening the package, some of the bristles were reformed during the shipping process. This is no fault of the brush and I hope Amazon can figure something out to ship this item more carefully so that it arrives without any bristle deformities.

Update: I recently ordered two more of these brushes on two separate occasions and both brushes arrived with all of the bristles in their original form. I would no longer hesitate to order more of these brushes in the future from Amazon.com.

Bought this along with two detail brushes. This one handles the brake dust that can be easily removed. the detail brushes are better for the more difficult to reach spots.

To big a head

Not really worth having as the brush is smaller than the head making it hard to get it in the hard to reach spots.
The brush is not very sturdy so doesn't last very long.

The 3 brushes work well both inside and outside the car. They dust hard to get areas and they help get ride of old wax on the outside.

Well I agree the head is a bit to big I was going to use these brushes to clean the hard to get areas of my 22 inch chrome rims, yet I did find a purpose for them, being a avid shoe collector these brushes work great to clean the soles of my shoes.

I own this brush set and I do not see/feel a problem w/them.
It says on the packaging,that when you're removing wax from hard
to get areas,to spray the Bristles w/a Quick Detailer to help avoid
scratches on the paint finish.I also spray the paint where I need to
use the Brush.The Bristles are,IMOPO,alittle too firm,and would be
safer on paints or clearcoats if made softer.The *Split Bristle Tips*
do add to some gentleness to the brush.
*Overall Construction* of the Brush is *Excellent*.Very Sturdy/Great
Built-In Rubber Grips and the *Rubber Spoon* at the end works okay.
I do not see how this Brush would not last.*ALWAYS* make sure that the
Bristles are *Clean*!.Detail Brushes of any Brand need Care too.

This stuff really works!

This is the first product for blackening your trim that actually works! I have a 97 Jeep Wrangler and the fender flares were about two shades away from being white. This got them looking almost brand new. My only complaint is the applicator - it's like a liquid shoe polish applicator. Product tends to run a bit, but it's tolerable. Also took several applications but as I said, my fender flares were almost white.

Black bumper kit

This product is fantastic.

I used it first to cover my braw on my truck and then on the plastic bumper. There was enough for me to cover the top of my plastic motorcycle box.

Each time it worked so well all three pieces looked new again.

I have recommended the product on my Honda forum to all.

Decent product

This product is decent for what it does. The applicator is the only issue as it doesn't apply the product very evenly. Once you manage to get the product onto the plastic it does work pretty well though.

A truly great product w/ a terrible applicator - here's a tip

Everything people say about how well this product works is true. It's nothing short of amazing.

The person who gave it 1 star and mentioned the problems with the applicator is correct - that can happen.

So, the best way I have found to use this product (I've done 3 trucks) is to pour the dye into a disposable plastic container and use a cheap disposable foam paint applicator. Works like a charm plus you can use the foam brush that best suits the area you are dying. Makes it easier, cleaner and faster than using the built in foam dabber especially for small trim, corners, tight areas, etc.

I do something similar with tire dressing like Black Magic Tire wet. I pour it into a cup and use a paint brush to apply it.

This product works well on plastic trim parts. I have noticed that it is not quite as durable as the product description describes as the application has faded somewhat after application. FYI, this product will not work well on tires.

Works great.

I filled a bucket with hot water and sprayed all my wheels and hubcaps with this stuff. I let it settle for a few minutes as recommended and got my tire brush and started scrubbing. Immediately all the dirt and brake dust started coming off. Then its a simple as washing the tire off with a hose. They all look great now!

Powerful Stuff

I'm not much of a car person, but I just used this stuff on my Subaru and it did a great job of getting almost of the brake dust and gunk off the wheels. Maybe I should have used another round though, since it had been far, far too long since those wheels had been cleaned! It was definitely easy and quick as promised. Just sprayed on and hosed off a few minutes later.

Wow, amazing stuff

My wheels were nasty. I cleaned them maybe once in the 5 years I have owned my Honda Accord. So, all that brake dust was caked on there real good. I had tried some other wheel cleaners in the past, but had poor results. Then I did some quick research and came across this product. The amazon reviews were glowing so I decided to give it a shot. A bit skeptical, I applied the stuff, waited, and took to brushing. Amazed, the thick cake actually broke up. After spraying the wheels with water, they were glistening like I haven't seen in years.

Now, the Mother's didn't clean the wheels off completely. There was still some cake on there. I waited for the wheels to dry and reapplied. The cake was stubborn, but the Mother's got it off. I'm astounded at its performance. This is some good stuff.

Other than that, I really can't comment on how well Mother's is at keeping the wheels clean. And frankly I don't care because I know that it can always clean them up in the end.

Best cleaner i used

OK, I got this cleaner after i have used the ArmorAll one which left me very impressed. As i became a real fan of this type of product (wheel cleaners) i decided it was time to try something else and thats when i changed from ArmorAll to Mothers.

ArmorAll cleaned my Benz wheels really good but after trying MOthers stuff i found a better product. Mothers took off more (not all) brake dust than ArmorAll, it almost left my wheels brake dust free.

All these type of products need between 30 secs to 2 minutes to act and they mus be applied to cool wheels. The Mothers brand smells very very strong... if you get to close to the wheel you will inhale the vapors and you will feel them right in your throught. After the first use i noticed the difference compared to ArmorAll... it cleans a lot better but it also smels and seems to be more hramfull to your lungs.

Apply it from the distance and try avoiding the vapors... you will have the cleanest possible wheels!

Great Product

I've used several other "wheel cleaners" that make all kinds of claims about how well they work. None of them has ever worked for me.

I picked-up a bottle of this at the Mother's booth at the "Good Guys" event in Del Mar last weekend. It is amazing stuff and works EXACTLY as claimed. Spray it on a cool wheel, wait 2 minutes, spray it off. It gets the grime out of every corner and the inside of the rim. It also does a great job on calipers. After using it on 2 cars I ordered a case of the stuff.

Oh yea, and I just used it clean a stainless BBQ grill. It works great for that job too!
